"Toni?" This was something he never expected to happen, and dashed over to help. Good thing he usually carries a small first aid kit with him when he's out of town, and he put on the gloves before moving closer to Toni. "What happened?!" He asked as he attempted to slow down the bleeding at least.
"A pack of feral wolves wandered into town… I had to protect everyone else. Better me than them." Before slipping into profane Spanish at the sheer level of pain he felt.
Toni meanwhile had take to awkwardly cuddling the ginger tabby- careful not to grip him too tight. The extra care he was taking showed.
"Well- they settled in America early on but. Yes most of them. The little bit that isn’t European is Native American." Nodding. "And yes. 9 total, all of them are friendly at least- though some of them like Luna are a tad shy at first." Lucretia then realized that what was left of Toni’s salsa had gotten on the rug. "Oh boo- that’ll be a pain to remove."
"Don’t worry I’ll take care of it." Toni said, getting quickly to work.
"My back thanks you."
"They do seem like nice cats." Panda smiled, and knelt down to pet one of them. He also noticed one trying to pounce on Kuro’s wings. "Kuro, you should put away those wings. The cats seem to want to play with them." He knew Kuro knew enough Life Magic to do so, so why was he still wandering around with wings?
"Can’t. They seem to be magic resistant." Kuro sighed. He’d called in sick at work, but could he do so for the whole week? He wasn’t so sure the boss would keep buying it after the weekend. "I can’t work while these are here either."
"Ah- that's my best mouser, Granger." Lucretia going to take the cat that kept trying to pounce on Kuro, smiling as she petted the longfurred ginger cat. "All of them are named after some fictional character or another."
Toni nodded. "Wealey and Granger you heard about them. Then there's ah- Data and Jeordi. Uhura. Cyclops. Storm... Others."
Panda shot a glare at Kuro for changing the subject so suddenly, but they could talk later. For now he paid attention to his potential new student, and went to shake her hand. “It’s nice to meet you too. Are some of your ancestors from Europe, and are all of these cats yours?” Panda had counted several cats so far, and hoped they were all reasonably friendly to new people.
Kuro decided to stay out of this for the moment, and he could talk to Panda later on anyway. He settled for checking his wings and removing loose or damaged feathers for the time being.
Toni meanwhile had take to awkwardly cuddling the ginger tabby- careful not to grip him too tight. The extra care he was taking showed.

"Alright." Blinking as he watched Kuro writing, noting the other’s handwriting style.
Lucretia nodded. “I guess I’ll put on some music to help me wait.” Going to get one of her favorite songs on- Doctor Franklyn. She clearly adored it as she hummed along.
Antonio though? He was tired of it.
Panda noticed the paper plane, and recognised the handwriting. “Kuro?” He had a feeling Kuro would get in contact again, and now he had. “An Acanthus in America, hmm?” He got up and stretched. “I’d better get over there and see them.” He got himself ready, and then teleported directly to Kuro.
Kuro was relaxing and listening to the music when suddenly Panda appeared in the room making him jump. “What the hell, Panda?!”
"We don’t talk for two years and that is the first thing you say?!" Panda frowned at that. "Since when did you have wings?"
"Panda, this is Lucretia, your potential new student." Kuro decided to change the subject and introduce Lucretia to him.
Toni had apparently been startled too, tripping over one of the cats.
"Weasley, are you okay?" Lucretia asked the ginger tabby, giving a sigh of relief when both Tony and Weasley got up. Then turning her attention to Panda. "Nice to be meetin' you." Extending a wide hand with thick fingers. While her ancestry was highly mixed and her family had been in the US for hundreds of years, her thick nose bridge and wide wrists suggested a high amount of German ancestry.

Laura turned in her chair at work. She was bored, nothing really going on. She knew that she shouldn’t even be going online just to chat but she was bored. She huffed, blowing a hair out of her face as she logged on, typing a quick message to see if anyone was on.

"Ah- maybe I should have warned you I like things very spicy." Giving an amused look, but managing not to laugh at least.
"Very funny, Toni." Lucretia spat sarcastically. "Panda- like the big floofy bear? … I wonder why he chose to be called that. But it would be nice to meet him and see if we’d get along."
"That would be a good idea in future." Kuro said. "Aside from the over-spiciness that salsa was tasty." Then he answered Lucretia. "Panda is a powerful Mage who likes cute things, and pandas are cute to him." He then got out some paper and a pen to write Panda a letter and ask if he wanted a new student before folding it into a paper plane, and sending it to Panda’s home through a portal. "Now we wait."
"Alright." Blinking as he watched Kuro writing, noting the other's handwriting style.

Toni came back into the room as he munched on his chips and salsa, clearly very interested in this- even as he vERY lightly touched Kuro’s shoulder to get his attention. “Want a try?” "I see- call me Lucretia then.” Giving a slightly amused look.
"Oh. I see what you did there." Rolling his eyes. "At least you’re honest."
"Yes- and what teachers can you think of off the top of your head, Kuro?"
"I’ll give it a try." Kuro said, and took a chip and a little bit of salsa. He tasted the salsa, and gasped at how spicy it was. He was used to some spice but this was on another level.
"As for teachers," He said when he recovered. "The only Acanthus Mage I know is my former teacher, Panda."
"Ah- maybe I should have warned you I like things very spicy." Giving an amused look, but managing not to laugh at least.

"The wings are not a usual feature, I swear." Kuro chuckled. "But if they helped avert breaking reality for the townspeople then they had a good purpose." He thought for a moment. "If a teacher can’t come here and live with you then you might have to leave. The only other reason you’d need to leave is if the people here won’t address you by your new name. Kuro is not my birth name, it’s a Shadow Name I use to hide my true identity from those who might harm me or my family. You’ll need to choose one too which is meaningful to you." If Jessie knew any Japanese she’d potentially understand the reason behind his from looking at his aura. Although he wasn’t undead his aura was still blackened from his own experience with death.

"The hermit has talked his way out of death?!" Some old man practically shouted from his house’s window where he’d been watching.
"… Ignore him, he’s always like that." Toni shaking his head as he got up and went to head inside. The cats quickly surrounding his legs and rubbing against them as always.
"… So. You saved his life with- some form of magic? What exactly are you then." Jessie looking over where the wound had been-
Before he went into the kitchen to wash his hands off thoroughly and cook himself something simple. Quickly deciding to make a pineapple, tomato, and hot pepper salsa. Soon he had it all chopped and mixed up, reaching for the tortilla chips. “Mmm.”
"Let him think that. He might treat you a little differently if he thinks you and death are friends." Kuro muttered. He wondered how the death angels would see this, to be quite honest, considering he took a potential catch from them twice now if he counted himself among that.
"Ah- yes, yes I did." Kuro knew he had to level with Jessie and Toni now considering she needed a teacher. "I’m an Awakened Mage. A Moros Mage to be specific, and my actual aspect is Death, not Space. Taking a Homestuck-like chumhandle gave an indication, but not the truth." Then he turned his attention more to Jessie. "I noticed you had an aura like my former teacher, an Acanthus Mage. Have you had any unusual visions lately, or noticed certain foods and objects taking on a yellow glow?"
"Okay then." He debated the ethics of lying to the neighbor like that- but decided to go with it anyway.
"About 12 years now. And sensing things about people. I knew some angel-like being would visit me someday, just not the specifics. That combined with the feeling I got around you... I swore you were an angel of death." Giving a nervous laugh. "I hope this doesn't mean I'll have to leave. Cassadaga's always been my home."
"Eh- could be better. It’s been insanely cold lately. Even down here in Florida." Giving an irritated noise. "That… That and the food. Genetically modified stuff everywhere. And it’s never labeled. Other than that and a few political problems here, I guess I don’t mind it."
Mei gave a confused look when he mentioned that the food wasn’t labeled. “Eh, sounds like if I visit I’ll want to make all my own food. So how long have you been living in Florida, if that’s not too personal a question.
"Even the ingredients themselves are hard to find not genetically modified." Shaking his head. "And about... 6 years? It's hard for me to tell since I didn't keep track of time in the child care systems." He didn't care who knew about that, and it was obvious. Yes, he'd been orphaned. He'd admit that much. The painful part was he was responsible for the death of his parents.
Jessie's house is very old and very big. Something like this architectural style but bigger.
And she has about 9 cats that love bothering Toni by rubbing against him and sitting on his electronics.
"Hola- nice to meet you. Antonio Guerrero, in Western order. Most people just call me Toni or Anton- I don’t mind nicknames. Born in Madrid- but I’m currently residing in Cassadaga, Florida. Small town of psychics in the US of A." His accent was a very odd mix and suggested he’d been in the US for quite a while. "What are things like in Taiwan, though?"
"Fantastic for the time being. I mean other then a few political problems but that’s not exactly something you should talk about when you first meet someone, right?" she explained shrugging a bit really she could go on about her opinion of the whole thing but knew she wouldn’t be able to stop if she did. "But you should see what’s been done here, it’s so pretty. The buildings are lit up beautifully at night and in the day it’s amazing to visit the national forests. It’s so nice, especially in the day time! What about America? I’ve actually never been there before. How is it?"

"Alright- I’m trying." Surprised at the feeling of the wound healing and closing. Blinking when he realized he’d stopped bleeding- and was starting to feel fairly normal again, save for being a little more tired- and suddenly a lot more hungry. "… Is it normal to feel really hungry after being healed like that?"
"In my experience, yes." Kuro chuckled, and helped Toni up. "You do need to rest and restore your strength too. I do need to talk to both you and Jessie as well, but that can wait until you’ve had food." Telling Jessie she’s actually a Mage is going to be an interesting conversation, as is explaining how he knows that.
"The hermit has talked his way out of death?!" Some old man practically shouted from his house's window where he'd been watching.
"... Ignore him, he's always like that." Toni shaking his head as he got up and went to head inside. The cats quickly surrounding his legs and rubbing against them as always.

Nodding. “Orange City is about… A mile from here? I think. Jessie could give better details since I don’t leave the house much.” Sighing- before starting to fall unconscious. Clearly fighting it, but not doing very well.
Given the fact that he was falling unconscious from blood loss it might take too long to reach Orange City to help him. His aura was starting to weaken too which was another worrying sign. Dammit, he might have to take another risk here as he started to focus on using Life Magic on Toni since that can heal wounds and other injuries and illnesses. “Toni, don’t fall asleep! Keep talking to me, all right?” He wanted to keep Toni conscious. Conscious and alive.
"Alright- I'm trying." Surprised at the feeling of the wound healing and closing. Blinking when he realized he'd stopped bleeding- and was starting to feel fairly normal again, save for being a little more tired- and suddenly a lot more hungry. "... Giving an amused laugh. “Everyone in this town’s overly spiritual like that, some way or another… How’d you get here anyway?” Finally managing to think through the pain. “But in any case. There’s no hospital in town, the nearest one’s in Orange City. So.”
"So they might think I’m an angel of death or something?" That could work in his favour, and as for how he got here… thank goodness for Homestuck aspects sharing abilities with the Arcana. "Mage of Space, remember? Teleporting is part of the deal, and how far from here is Orange City?" Kuro was wondering how many people were likely to see his wings if they called in paramedics or he took him to Orange City. The Guardians of the Veil might come a-visiting too if too many Muggles lost their grip on reality because of him, and that would be worse. Much worse.
Nodding. "Orange City is about... A mile from here? I think. Jessie could give better details since I don't leave the house much." Sighing- before starting to fall unconscious. Clearly fighting it, but not doing very well.

Mei tapped her fingers impatiently as she waited for her computer to connect to the next person online. She usually wasn’t one to do the video chat with random people online thing but with nothing else to do for the night this seemed to be her best bet to beat boredom when it finally connected she sat up and waved hi to them. “Hello! My name’s Xiao, Mei. I’m from Taiwan and this is my first time ever talking to random people online.” she said grinning at the person.
"Hola- nice to meet you. Antonio Guerrero, in Western order. Most people just call me Toni or Anton- I don't mind nicknames. Born in Madrid- but I'm currently residing in Cassadaga, Florida.
