june playlist
i haven’t been active in over a year, but it’s summer, and i’m getting back into it. i’m not exactly the most adventurous person with music, but here’s what i’ve been listening to this month.
someone you loved - lewis capaldi | the soft piano of this song and capaldi’s vocal makes me feel this at the deepest level, even if i’ve never been in the situation he’s talking about in this song. just beautiful
surround me - LÉON | i discovered this randomly on spotify and just love the simple grove of the synths matched with the soul of her voice and the beat.
rescue me - onerepublic | i’ll always love this band, and while they’ve been releasing singles for years, this is one of the first that i wanted to keep on repeat. an evolution but still very much in line with what onerepublic is
howling - cathedrals | this song came up on a tv show, barely decipherable over the dialogue, but i loved its moody feel, and set out to find it. probably the closest thing to indie/alt i listen to
one thing right - marshmello, kane brown | quite a departure from the rest of this list, and not really that original, but this is just super catchy
trust - jonas brothers | my inner child screamed when this group go back together. i just love the groovy electric guitar here, one of my favorites on their new album
