SCP-131 with an OC of mine~
I managed to record a speedpaint this time!
What is happening on the SCP wiki right now is a problem
(do not take this as an infopost, this is mostly just me expressing my opinion on things i've seen and heard) Basically, yesterday, the Bright list got deleted and then re-uploaded. I already expressed how I would have no problem with the list being removed due to its questionable content, but the situation is gradually getting worse. Author Cimmerian wants to delete all his tales with character Bright in it, and it seems that other authors will follow. Essentially, they're trying to erase any mention of Bright from existence. Why is that a problem? Several reasons.
The character of Bright is not the same as author, aka you can separate art from the artist. While there absolutely are cases where you cannot do so (coughharrypottercough), SCP is very good for this as it's a collaborative non-profit project. Character Bright is part of the community and even if he was to be erased by the wiki, the fandom wouldn't let go so easily, so I do not understand why even bother. Deleting character Bright and pretending he simply never existed is just wrong. We have had similiar situations with authors before, and it usually resulted in "retiring" the characters. You can't deny character Bright has/had too much influence to be simply erased and forgotten. While I despise author Bright with every fiber of my being and absolutely do not condone anything they've done, character Bright does not deserve to be erased. I understand why authors would want to delete their tales with them in it, and respect their decision, but in my opinion it's a fucking stupid decision.

Happy birthday peanut! Feat. my 173 redesign
Hi Tumblr :) Since I've decided to stop lurking and actually make a blog and post on it I thought I'd it with my version of SCP-173 that I drew some time ago for the art contest I'm glad to have been able to participate, there are lots of great entries in there
