Hello!!!!!! I haven't touched this blog in almost a year, but I wanted to mention that I went to Toonfest this year and share my experience during it!!!!!
I'll be putting everything under a cut, but to put it into three simple words: I LOVED IT.
I want to start off by saying that this was my VERY FIRST TOONFEST and I just knew I had to go when it was announced because I didn't need to pay for a flight as the convention center was a mere 2 and a half hour drive away from where I live :D
I also hadn't gone to a convention in general in over 5 years !
Every moment of it was genuinely momentous and memorable and something about my first Toonfest being its 10th one feels pretty awesome.
I attended every event that was in the schedule and held my Surlee and Lord Lowden Clear plushies for every panel and made SURE they'd be visible in every group photo shot that happened.
In the past I also felt pretty jealous or envious over seeing people have Toonfest attendee accessories in TTR and it more or less just makes me go YAAAYYYY to now be getting Toonfest attendee accessories myself and I know it'll become a permanent addition to one (or maybe two) of my toon's outfits :3
I was also able to get codes to give to my close friend who I first met on TTR and to her friend as well!!
Speaking of my friend's friend though... The runner up winner for the Videos category in the TOONYs??? The one with cute Clear Coasts song??? Imagine my utter SHOCK when I see that person's toon pop up in that video, even thinking back at it still I'm like WHAT!!!!! and want to interrogate him so much but I don't actually personally talk to him LMAOOO
Getting all the different kinds of stuff at the TTR booth was so cool and any dupes I got as a result of my mom also grabbing them (she was there with me, she drove me) are going to be sent to the aforementioned close friend of mine. Seriously I'm so psyched about it and I was messaging her A LOT on Discord as events were actively happening and you ever get the feeling that someone is somewhere with you even if they physically aren't??? Literally got that feeling the whole time, ESPECIALLY when I was playing TTR with her on one of the laptops at the booth.
Speaking OF the laptops at the booth, oh, I felt so lucky to be able to play the test server that had a demo of Clear Coasts and the new Joint Ventures buildings. Especially with the new launcher allowing me to easily join it on my main toon Dream Storm which felt even *more* memorable.
I also want it to be known in a rather boastful way that I was the second person to pie Ron Weaver. hehe
I was absolutely astounded and in awe over the Factory Foreman cosplayer that won the in-person TOONYs like I'm still not over it, witnessing it was AMAZING AND EXCITING
The Mover & Shaker, Loan Shark, and Bloodsucker cosplayers were fantastic too, I think I just particularly love seeing people act in character of who they're cosplaying, it adds an extra thrill to it
(However, I can't be saying any of this without acknowledging all the other cosplayers that were present as well, everyone was so awesome to see)
God I don't know how to properly word this AT ALL!!!!! But it's just how I felt being in the same room in-person with all these people who I would have otherwise only ever known and seen from an online setting. It was just, I dunno, a wonder! Especially the Toonfest memory papers being pinned on the wall and seeing people I recognize and seeing the chatter about the convention on the TTR Discord after it was over. Maybe it's weird, I dunno!!! But it was cool!!!
I think this will motivate me to get into Toontown again and it turning into a hyperfixation again FINALLY but I'm also sort of uh oh over it because my active hyperfixation has been Minecraft in a server and I still have things to do on it AAHHHH
Anyway maybe there's more to say, but I keep getting distracted AAHH!!! Okay bye

hey gang, haven't seen any posts abt it yet, so i wanted to let y'all know that THE TTR WIKI HAS MIGRATED FROM FANDOM!
this means that the new ttr wiki is fully independent from fandom's predatory practices and trash garbage ad placements. it's great news!
however, the ttr fandom wiki will exist as long as it "needs" to and will dominate search results, meaning that an important part of the work now is for the new wiki to overtake the old one in searches. you can help by not visiting the fandom wiki and helping spread the word! consider installing the indie wiki buddy extension as well to help you find other independent wikis for media you care about!
