The last thing Nathan expected upon walking into his apartment was someone ramming into him, but thankfully years of trained instincts prevented him from falling backwards upon impact. His eyes sharpened and his body tensed, but a quick glance downward proved his "assailant's" identity, and allowed him to relax; as his arms wrapped around Colton, he laughed as his shock ebbed.

"Hey, hey, whoa there," Nathan managed to get out in between chuckles. "What's the rush? Or are you just happy to see me?" The redhead teased.

A soft chuckle left the boy. His dark brown hair was a mess from lounging all day in the other bed. 

“ I’m just happy to see you.” He said, wrapping his arms round the others waist. “ I haven’t seen you all day and I got bored and lonely. You’re beds a mess by the way. I’ve been rolling around in it all day.” He smirked up at him.

“ How was your day?” He asked, letting go of the other and moving to let him in.

Nathan raised a brow. “Oh, really? You, staying in bed all day?" Though his grin remained plastered onto his face, a hint of concern entered his gaze. Colton... seemed fine, from the looks of him, so the pyro wouldn’t push it. Too much, anyway. “Should I ask why?” he inquired, tipping his head a little.

As Colton stepped away, Nathan gave a good-natured pout at temporarily losing his contact with the other, but made his way inside, closing the door behind him. After it clicked shut, he approached him once more, resting an arm over him. 

“Eh, nothing too exciting,” Nathan admitted, “Just some guard duty. Can’t set fires when there’s someone to protect, after all,” he joked, laughing a little.
