If you don’t like trauma and mental illness you might find it a tough read but like Star Wars is trauma and mental illness lol and I yearn for the fics that touch on it. It was an older man, frayed around the edges and hair glowing white, with crinkles around his eyes.
Anakin sat up on his elbows, and the sight was something akin to a droid with a seeping battery, like it was shifting in and out of existence, something organic that had glitched in and out of binary. He felt the need to start retching again, throat feeling rougher-
And then the vision shifted with the blink of an eye into- someone smaller, and smoother, but harsher around the edges, with close cropped hair and wariness in his eyes. The younger man’s eyebrows pinched together with Anakin’s eyes glued to him, the softened jawline and the pucker of a dimple in his bare chin, skin glowing golden warm-
“Anakin, don’t-” the voice was soft, and wavering, and Anakin knew it had to be some kind of cruel trick as a hand reached out to his shoulder to steady him.

He was dark all over, skin an even deeper shade of brown that made him look like liquid honey and bronze, supple yet sturdy. The sun had bleached his hair, bringing out the blond tucked away in the brown strands, curls on top of curls shimmering like spun gold.
He leaned back next to Obi-Wan, hot against his side and smelling of cigarettes, clean sweat, and the sun.
After a devastating loss that Obi-Wan can’t seem to recover from, he decides to pack up his life and move to a small lazy town on the outskirts of a desert. Depressed and alcoholic, Obi-Wan figures fucking his pain away with the pretty nineteen year old neighbour boy is a good idea.
Turns out, it is anything but a good idea.
This one is long and I loved it, it’s kinda depressing and deals with some tough topics but I like the tough stuff so 🤷♂️. I also love a fic with Anakin being “weird” so this was delightful. It’s a modern au and I love a good modern au

Surprisingly, the ritual backfires, killing Palpatine and stripping Anakin of his Force abilities. Stranded on Exegol, he lies to the Jedi Council about his Fall, beginning an unlikely exchange of letters with Obi-Wan.
This fic is fabulous, I love a good comm chat and Anakin and Obi-Wan go back and forth for part of the fic. I’m always a sucker for Anakin pouring all of his tangled mess out to Obi-Wan, so this is perfect. It’s also a dyad fic so 🙌
