TICKET UPDATE: PAUL READY ONSTAGE IN LONDON

As previously mentioned, Paul Ready (Dr. Henry Goodsir) is bringing his one-man play 'Little Animals' to London's Globe Theatre and Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre this summer - and we have an exciting update for the London show!

Tickets for the general public are going on sale at TOMORROW, 12:00 (GMT) on 9 June 2026. Members of the Globe can buy tickets now!

Event Details

Date: 21 June 2026 at 12pm - 5pm (GMT). We aren't sure what time Paul will be appearing but will update if we find out.

Location: Bankside, The Globe Theatre,  21 New Globe Walk, SE1 9DT.

This performance is part of the Globe Theatre's Climate Open House during London Climate Action Week. The event will include Acapellies and their concert WildSong, the award-winning Letters to the Earth, guest appearances, readings and other activities.

Pricing: This appears to be a free event but there may be different ticket tiers or donations expected/encouraged.

Christos Lawton's Boogaloo Radio Show

For those who don't know, Christos Lawton (Lt. George Hodgson) has a weekly radio show at Boogaloo Radio in London!

Christos used to be a barman at The Boogaloo Pub and now he appears weekly to play a mix of alternative, rock and britpop (he's a big Pulp fan). He's often joined by producer Fred and his partner Grace to talk about film or whatever takes their fancy. He's now been broadcasting for over a year!

Tobias Menzies in Channel 4's "Maya"

It's been a minute since there's been news about this series, but thought we'd share—it's said to be in post-production, with a release date being announced shortly.

Tobias joins a formidable cast including Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Harriet Walter (Succession) and Daisy Haggard (Back to Life). The six part series is a psychological thriller about a mother and daughter entering witness protection. And it's set in Scotland, so expect fun and spooky colour grading, of course.

We'll update and a reblog as soon as Channel 4 makes any more announcements.

PAUL READY STARRING IN NEW DIANE MORGAN SITCOM 'ANN DROID'

Good news for Motherland fans - Paul Ready and Diane Morgan are reuniting for her new sitcom Ann Droid.

Premise: Set in 2029, recent widow Sue (Sue Johnston) is gifted an eldercare robot known as AnnDroid (Diane Morgan) by her well-meaning son, Michael (Paul Ready), before he moves out to fix his struggling marriage. While initially unimpressed, Sue realises she can use the robot to settle old scores and the pair form an unlikely friendship.

The six-part comedy series is written by Morgan and Sarah Kendall, with filming taking place last year.

In a BBC press release, Ready said, "I don’t know much, but I do know that if you get a chance to work with Diane Morgan, you take it. Immediately! Can’t wait to be reunited and bring Michael to life in her brilliant comic series."

Ann Droid will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Release date TBC but expected summer 2026.

Roderick Hill in The Bald Soprano

Roderick Hill (Private William Heather) is directing and starring in this production of The Bald Soprano in Budapest tomorrow (28 May 2026)!

28 May 2026 at the Dante Community Creative Space, Budapest, starts at 7pm (CET).

Roderick often acts, directs and produces for the theatre company Artificial Moon Theatre in Budapest so there will likely be other productions in future for those interested.
