Knots in my hair by gonedreamer
Hiya, how did I get so many new followers?
For money and food
"I think I have a few bottles at home, and some food, but you might not like it, it's not fire normal fillies," he started walking away, letting Blue decide whether or not to follow.
Collecting cans and bottles
"What for?" He asked curiously, though he suspected he already knew the answer.
P-ponies call me Blue *she looks up at him*
"Well, Blue, I'm Cold Cuts, but you can call me Cutter. What are you doing out alone?"
.... no pony :, ( *looks down*
"I didn't realize a no pony could talk," Cutter gently, but firmly, drew the filly's chin up to look him in the eyes, "now who might you be?" He repeated.
*sits in front of the batpony, looks up at you* daddy?
Cutter's iridescent green eyes inspected the filly closely."Hmm," he ran a hoof along her back and lifted her lips, inspecting her teeth."Considering the lack of wings and fangs, I expect not. Who might you be, child?"
Screech smiles as she works, starting to get used to the smell and blood. She stops at some point and looks around the shop with a smile. "So, how many bat ponies come through here a day? So far I haven't seen one..."
Cutter smirked softly.
âThink about that a moment,â he smiled, âwe may cut during daylight hours, but our clientele doesnât usually show up until after dark.â
âWatchers,â Cutter agreed, his hoof strayed absently over a lump under his apron front.
âItâs probably best you didnât know what.â
She sits and nods. âOkayâŠâ She looks at him. âS-soâŠâ
âSo you need not worry.â Cutter confirmed.
She smiles. âThanks again CutterâŠâ
âDonât worry about it. Us batponies have to look out for each other.â He looked out the window. It was getting to be late and the sun was well into the sky. âItâs late, Iâd best be getting home and to bed.â
Screech nods and smiles. âHave a nice ânightââŠâ She giggles.

As Cutter left the house, he counted the sets of eyes that were watching him. Three.
Where was the fourth? Perhaps they were âremovingâ a threat. No matter. Screech was in good pawsâŠ
Screech smiles and cleans up the house a little, she then walks to her room and lays down.
The timber wolves Cutter had assigned to guard the house were the smartest and most cunning in the pack, and they watched the house with incredible efficiency, foiling the attempts of those seeking to harm their charge.
But in the end, they were still only timber wolves, and eventually, something would slip pastâŠ
While screech was sleeping, one of the ponyâs from before managed to get into the house. He walks into the room quietly and then grabs screech by the throat.
She screams and grabs for his hoof, trying to pry it off, he just tightens his grip, holding the mare until she passed out.
Hearing her cry out, a timber wolf burst through the window, shattering glass across the room. His gaping maw closed on the attacker's throat, ripping it out before he could scream. The unfortunate pony being shredded to ribbons in Screech's bedroom.
Screech smiles as she works, starting to get used to the smell and blood. She stops at some point and looks around the shop with a smile. "So, how many bat ponies come through here a day? So far I haven't seen one..."
