“Alright, I’m just going to pretend I didn’t see that happen.”
Dominique winced, and flicked the cigarette onto the ground, stomping on it with her boot. “Yeah, I’d really appreciate that. I promised Roxy I’d quit, but I’ve yet to actually get that far.”
“People say I got a drinkin’ problem// That ain’t no reason to stop// People say that I’ve hit rock bottom// Just cause I’m living on the rocks” || And I think you, Dominique, would tell them they don’t know a thing about you if they accused of this. But until I truly expose your secret, why don’t you hex someone who thinks they know everything about you, Aimee Petit. I promise to keep my mouth shut a little longer.” ~X
Dom looked at the note, slipping from her bag when she pulled out her wand. Hex Aimee? Well she had to admit that wasn’t exactly something she was unhappy about, Aimee always seemed to just be such a bitch to her, and acted like she knew everything about Dom’s life, as if she just expected her to be absolutely perfect all the time. She had no idea. With a sigh, Dom got up, and went to search for the girl, all the while trying to figure out just what hex to use.
flowersofivy:
“I freaking love that idea.” Ivy spoke with a wide smile. Being drunk again made her remember why it was such a battle to quit her addiction. There was something more pleasant about being intoxicated then sober. She looked over at the other and grabbed her hand. “Let’s go!”
Dom’s eyes were bright as she grinned at her friend, pulling her towards the lake. “If anyone wants to go for a swim, come with us!” She shouted, and she didn’t bother looking back, though she heard a few people follow them. She was attempting (and failing) to be quiet as they left the rowdy party, but every so often either she or Ivy would trip, and they’d collapse into each other in a fit of giggles. Eventually they made it to the lake. “Come on!” She whisper-shouted, stripping out of her clothes. “Let’s get in!”
It was getting to the time of night that Dom picked up her companion for the night. It was how nights like this always went: She dressed up, got drunk, and then picked out someone to fall into bed with. She surveyed the party-goers, some significantly more drunk than others, when she felt a tap on her shoulder, and spun around with a slight smirk on her face. “Wanna take me to bed for the night?”
bitxfadick:
He huffs in annoyance, although he doesn’t know what he was expecting, he doubts that even if she did know who it was she wouldn’t exactly go around flaunting it. His eyes flick back to her at her question, he debates saying no, there’s no usefulness to her that he can see, but she may prove advantageous in the future. So he shrugs and nods his head, “Sure.”
She has absolutely no idea what possessed her to ask him that. She knew all about Alfie’s reputation as a bit of a tosser. She figured it was probably the copious amounts of alcohol she’d had already, so she just went with it. They headed over to the refreshments table (apparently this x person was very organised), and Dom grabbed a cup, pouring herself a generous helping of whatever was in the nearest bottle. She then pulled her flask out quickly, and added some of the vodka. She found that she enjoyed the burn of muggle alcohol much more than firewhiskey.
flowersofivy:
“I think that we should go down something fun.” Ivy spoke to the other in a drunken fashioned manner. “I need fun right now.” The problem with Ivy was that once she started drinking, there was no stopping her, one drink and she needed more.
Dominique grinned at her friend, eyes bright from the liquor. “Yesss!” She shouted, trying her hardest to seem coherent. She was more than a few drinks in. “We should do something exciting! Let’s go for a swim!”
You have been invited to my party in the forbidden forest. If you don't show up, I'll tell everyone your secret. Get ready for some fun. ~X
When the note was left on Dominique’s pillow, her blood ran cold. She couldn’t go to a party, not now, but she also couldn’t have x tell everyone her secret. She didn’t know what to do, but all she did know was that she was absolutely and entirely screwed.
bitxfadick:
“Third years are always trying to get into parties they don’t belong at.” He says with a chuckle, glancing over at the girl, “Invite as well. If you can call it that. I don’t even know who our gracious host is.” He raises an eyebrow, turning his full attention to her, “do you?” Honestly he just wants to find out who this X person is so he can be rid of them, he doesn’t like being controlled.
Dom shook her head. “Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea who thought it would be fun to throw a forbidden party in the forbidden forest.” She wished she did know, then she wouldn’t be constantly worried someone was potentially watching her, and who knew about her little issue. Not that it was too big of an issue anyway. “You wanna grab a drink or something?”
“So,” He drawls, turning to look at the person sitting next to him, “Did you get an invite to this…shindig, or did you just hear about it on the grapevine? I’ve heard a couple of different stories from people tonight.“
“An invite, but the grapevine does travel fast. I heard a third year puff apparently tried to buy his way in.” Dominique replied, taking a sip of her drink. “You?” So far her only drinking a little bit was going well, but that was always how parties started out for her. She’d been drinking for so long, that her tolerance for alcohol had really built up, and so far she wasnt even tipsy yet.
professor-teddy:
Teddy had been far from happy to receive the information about the party, especially as it meant he would have to leave Abby with just Kinny, which he hated to do at night. He knew the elf would take care of her, but he didn’t like leaving her any more then he had to. He knew he needed to at least keep an eye on his siblings and cousins if they were going to be there, which was how he found himself with Dominique. He raised an eyebrow slightly at the flask, “Do I want to know what’s in that?” he asked before letting out a small sigh, “I guess we probably should head out though.”
Dominique let her regular facade take over, and she shot Teddy a bright smile. “Yeah, lets go.” Something in Dom told her that this whole party thing was a terrible idea, but with x hanging over her, she had no choice. She was going to try her absolute hardest to limit herself, even if just in case something happens with x. She doesn’t want that, she can’t have anything come out. It would ruin her.
Dominique took a quick swig from her flask to calm her nerves. Things always went one of two ways at a party: either she got blackout drunk and ruined some of her relationships, whether friendly or romantic, or she got blackout drunk and ruined other people’s relationships. Like normal, Dom told herself that she’d only drink a little bit this time, just enough to stop those feelings from bubbling up, but realistically she was doubtful about that happening. “You ready to go?” She asked her companion, smoothing down the front of her dress. “We’re gonna be late!”
mattiasavery:
“I thought sixth year was bad. But this is just..” A shake of his head as he began to make notes again though he groaned soon enough. “Two rolls of parchment? McGonagall has to be kidding.” he said sounding obviously frustrated. “This is going to take all evening.”
Dominique looked from her awful potions homework, to Matt’s Transfiguration work. “You know, I took my Transfiguration OWL in fourth year, and I’m taking the NEWTs for it this year if you want a hand?” It wasn’t exactly something that she went around broadcasting to everyone, since she knew most people thought of her as a dumb blonde. She’d been trying for years to make a deal with McGonagall that if she passed her NEWT with an O, the professor would finally help her to become an animagus.
mattiasavery:
At her comment, a smile played on his lips and he shook his head in amusement. “I am going to have to trust your word, it seems food works differently for us. It never makes my hangovers better, only worse.” Not that Matt got drunk that often, he liked his drinks but more often than not he only drunk within limit. “So what was the occasion, for having drunk so much, I mean. Party?”
“Yeah, me and a few friends.” Dominique replied, taking a long drink of her coffee. “It was just supposed to be a few drinks, but well - we’re never ones for moderation.” She smiled sheepishly, unsure of why she was suddenly nervous. Dom never got nervous.
