Okay, I got another one. The brain rot is real. I would probably go to hell for this one, if I was religious in any way that is.
Leto Atreides is the priest of the local parish. His family is well loved and respected in their little town. Paul is the perfect, obedient son of a preacher man. He gets good grades at school, he helps old ladies cross the street, he takes care of his baby sister without complaint, and actually enjoys it even if Alia is a little bit of a wild child. He does Sunday school for his father sometimes as well. He is the dream of every cheesy teenage girl and her overprotective parents within a radius of 300 miles.
It is early June. His plans for the summer do not involve anything beyond enjoying the sun at the lake a short drive away from their house with Chani and Irulan, catching up on non-school mandated literature and helping at the church. Maybe some preparation for college.
Now, that is until on a late Saturday evening Paul hears his parents fighting downstairs. As it happens, Leto has brought in Paul's estranged cousin, Feyd without any preamble and Jessica is not too happy about it, especially when Leto insists that Feyd is staying for the summer.
Paul does not remember much of his cousin. The last time they saw each other was when Paul was 7 and Feyd was 12 and Leto had to move them to a new parish.
The rugged man that he sees smoking on the porch while his parents whisper-shout at each other has nothing in common with the vague recollections he has of Feyd. Imagine Austin Butler from Bikeriders in his rugged, handsome glory, tousled blond hair and baby blues and all that. He has a black eye and a split lip and Paul can see his motobike parked next to the porch.
"Hey..." Feyd rasps before he offers Paul a cigarette.
"I don't smoke."
" 'Course you don't." Feyd mutters under his breath after giving him a long, slow once over and Paul finds himself almost reaching for the cigarette just to prove him wrong.
And that is the start of Paul's slow, inexorable corruption. Feyd needs to stay with them because he has been in more than one quite violent fights with his brother, he has nowhere else to go and Leto, being the kind soul he is, wants to help him. Jessica just considers him boorish and an unpleasant reminder of the kind of family she has left behind.
Feyd is good with his hands, he does carpentry work around town and when the church's interior is damaged by a small electrical fire Leto brings him to work on restoring the wood work.
Paul and Feyd end up being in close proximity all the time. Enter sexual chemistry and tension the likes of which little innocent angel Paul has never experienced. Enter guilt, shame, religious and emotional self-flagellation over having persistent sexual dreams and fantasies about your cousin. Enter Paul being ridiculously jealous of Irulan who just won't fucking stop draping herself all over Feyd.
This will have the full cohabitation voyerism package as well because neither Paul nor Feyd can help themselves and having to share a bathroom just makes it too easy.
The cherry on top however, the little delightful oyster of this, would be copious amounts of secret kissing and making out and eventually sex and all the times they nearly get caught.
Sex in the church. On the altar. In the confessional booth.
Especially in the confessional booth with Paul giving his confession to his father, biting back whimpers with Feyd grinning up at him from between his thighs.
That delightful precious double meaning of Forgive me father, for I have sinned.
the fact that the challengers movie tiktok account commented 'the churro is the new peach' on the comment section of a video where luca talked about that scene left me completely speechless.
Both Paul and Feyd Rautha are under socialized with kids their age. Yet Feyd Rautha is more popular amongst the other heirs.
What makes Feyd popular?
Smuggles in banned food and alcohol to treat himself and the other boys.
Teaches the other boys bad words in multiple languages.
Loves rough housing with anyone and everyone. Quickly learns when "enough is enough" and quickly adapts to his surroundings.
Has a funny big-brother persona around the other heirs. He is older than most of them.
Prefers fights be evenly matches so will stand up if someone else is being dogpiled.
The older girls swoon over him, but he doesn't eat up their attention. Instead, he helps the other boys with flirting and courting. Even though, Feyd himself has no experience talking face to face with girls.
His brother Rabban's fights are televised. Making the Harkonnen well known among the younger boys. Some watch them with their fathers. Some sneak off to watch the Arena fights. All of the other heirs think the fact that Feyd will one day fight in the Arena himself. When it's Feyd's turn to fight in the Arena, all the boys watch for the drama of it all.
Both Paul and Feyd Rautha are under socialized with kids their age. Yet Paul Atreides is ostracized amongst the other heirs.
What makes Paul unpopular?
The other heirs tease Paul for having his mother escort him everywhere.
On first impression, Paul comes across as a phony. Lacking his father's famous charisma. It seems like Paul is always trying to remain in control.
Paul's love of biology and other scholarly pursuits is disparaged by the other boys. The areas of interest they respect like sport, conversation, and entertainment Paul is poor in.
His empathic abilities from his Bene Gesserit training makes him uncomfortably perceptive. It's unsettling.
Despite being empathetic (or maybe because he is), Paul struggles with reading his own emotions. Not recognizing his intense feelings towards Feyd Rautha were noticeable to others.
Paul makes friends with the girls easily. Making the other heirs dangerously jealous. Unlike Paul the rest of the heirs are nervous to talk to girls. Even Feyd Rautha is completely clueless when talking to girls directly.

AU where Leto is the emperor and Paul is the prince. Baron Harkonnen continuously visits Leto in order to create a marriage pact between Paul and Feyd but Leto remains hesitant. During the Harkonnen’s stay, Paul enjoys being with Feyd and openly flirts with him. Jessica also enables Paul through her encouragement and the deeper Bene Gesserit agenda. Whenever they would practice fight, Paul would always win by sneaking a chaste kiss and stunning Feyd. Paul would often ambush Feyd in the baths saying it would be faster if they bathed each other. He would even take Feyd to the lower markets disgusting themselves and show him around and constantly get chased off by merchants. Feyd was completely enchanted by Paul the moment he smiled at him and couldn’t help but follow him wherever he went no matter how hard he tries to keep in denial.
Head empty just 5 yo Paul Atreides on a Landsraad meeting afterparty. Everyone in a huge futuristic garden, Paul hiding behind Jessica and spying 6 yo Feyd Harkonnen. Who runs around and plays space pirates with other heirs, all dark curls, bright eyes, loud laughter and perky smiles. Young Duncan takes a knee and points at him: “If it wasn’t for your wise mother, Paul, you’d have to marry a pirate captain.” And Paul looking up at mom with genuine indignation.
