Post-ArtFight 2026 Art Post (OC Ref Updates + All Attacks)!
It's been quite the while since I last formally posted any art on my blog, and while normally I'd apologize for not making/posting as much as I'd like, I am one person and I'm getting better at not being so hard on myself. I think the work I've been doing in the background with my writing and analyzing throughout this summer has been incredibly fulfilling and worthwhile. But I'll reserve elaborations on those things for a separate post, this one's gonna be focused on the art I've been able to complete throughout the summer!
I'd had some computer issues from April - June which made digital art basically inaccessible to me, finally got it fixed after going in and changing some settings in the motherboard. I was really proud of myself to have fixed it alone cause I'm not very good with technical stuff, and just in time for ArtFight too! (Well I was technically a few days late BUT LET'S NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT LOL.)
OC Updates
I took the opportunity to update my main magical girl trio of OCs that have been on my AF page since last year, and I'm not sure if I'd ever posted about them on here...But regardless, here's my girls' new reference artwork! I just used the lineups, Renee's got an extra sketch reference for her side-shave's pattern design.

I've been working on a bunch of character lineup stuff like this in the background (a lot of it is with sketchy lineart or more concept art than final designs I suppose so I haven't wanted to share it yet), and just had a blast with these three. I haven't done much in the way of their story beyond concept developments, but I'm planning on getting the ball rolling with their story. Just gotta put some IRL life eggs in my basket first lol.
There's little descriptions they've got on their AF pages (Amber's page; Renee's page; Selena's page) if you'd like to know a little more about them. Renee's the central protagonist, and the one who had received the biggest design change, mainly in the way her hair is drawn (been getting better with the style/way I draw coiled/textured hair this past year) and its color when she's transformed. My art style has improved drastically since their reference pics from last year, genuinely stunned by the difference in quality.
I'm hoping to have a few more characters on my page for next year, but we'll see. I really do love getting art of these three for the event, so I might not add many others. But that's for 2027 me to worry about, and for current me to not do that.
Now onto my attacks!
I was on Team Tragedy this year, very delighted by the theme and the trio-team gimmick. Very nice to have a cool-toned team color.
My goals were to: 1) complete revenges from last year that I didn't get to before the previous term ended, 2) clear through my roster of miscellaneous characters I'd bookmarked, and 3) complete more attacks than what I'd done the previous year (which was 9 total).
Number 1 was completed, for Number 2 I missed a couple but I otherwise got through everything there, and for Number 3 I succeeded with a grand total of 11 attacks (13 characters total)! Didn't get to everyone I wanted to, but I can't complain. Considering how busy I was, I'm extremely happy with being able to complete as many attacks as I did!

I love all the designs of the characters I'd attacked this year, genuinely so many beautiful art styles from their reference pictures/sheets! They have great personality in their descriptions, it was so fun to get to know all these fellas. :D
Also of course, thank you to those who attacked or revenged me this year! All of the art I received of my girls and my MLP umbrum OC Midnight were so awesome, and I was just blown away from seeing them all in so many different styles. Genuinely getting to see different stylized interpretations for your characters and reimagining others' characters in your own art style is the best thing about the event in my opinion.
