Wim Dekens is a huge horror movie fan. Around the age of 13, he began collecting autographs from his favorite horror, fantasy and sci-fi icons. Now he owns an impressive collection of hand signed photos. And he’s still collecting!

Here’s a promotional postcard of Faust (2000), autographed by director and producer Brian Yuzna. In 2002, I sent a fan letter to his production company Fantastic Factory in Barcelona (Spain). About two months later, I received a typed letter… and this hand signed postcard. Brian Yuzna signed the card with a silver pen and added the inscription “Best bloody wishes!”

Be careful what you wish for! In 2009, I sent a fan letter and two $10 bills to Wishmaster actor Andrew Divoff. About two months later, I received this photo of the evil djinn. Andrew Divoff signed the photograph with a silver pen and added the inscription “Make your wish!”

Here’s a photograph of Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare On Elm Street movies, autographed by the legendary Robert Englund. In 2002, I sent him a letter and two $10 bills. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo. Robert Englund signed the photograph with a silver pen and added the inscription “Sleep killz!”

Here’s a signed photo of Joe Dante on the set of The Howling (1981). In 2018, I sent a fan letter to his production company in Hollywood. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo. Joe Dante also added the inscription “Thanx for watching”

Here’s a photo of Lurch as seen in the Addams Family movies of the 1990s, autographed by Carel Struycken. In 2009, I sent a fan letter and two $10 bills to his home address in California. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo.

Here’s a letter from Brian Yuzna, who produced the Re-Animator movies. In 2002, I sent a fan letter to his production company Fantastic Factory in Barcelona (Spain). About two months later, I received this typed letter in which he thanks me for the kind words I said about his horror movies.

Here’s a photo of Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies, autographed by actor and stuntman Kane Hodder. In 2008, I sent a letter to Kane Hodder’s official fan club in Calabasas, California. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo.

In 2008, I sent a fan letter and two £10 notes to his agency in London. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo. Doug Bradley signed the photograph with a gold pen and added the inscription “See you in hell”

Here’s a really cool photo of the Hulk as seen in the TV series The Incredible Hulk (1977-1982), autographed by the legendary Lou Ferrigno. Lou Ferrigno signed the photograph with a silver pen at Rhode Island Comic Con 2017. The dedication is hard to read. It says: “To Wim”

Here’s one of my oldest autographs in my collection – a black & white photo of Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), autographed by Gunnar Hansen. Around the age of 13, I sent him a letter. About two months later, I received this hand signed photo. Gunnar Hansen also added the inscription “You’re next!”
