hello, were the calling system. we also go by stars online. we are a did system (traumagenic, although we don't use origin labels) and have known about our system for several years now.

we are a minor. he/they/she pronouns, please mainly use neutral or masculine terms to refer to us.

we are endo neutral - but we don't believe you can be a did system without trauma. that is not to say you can't be plural however, and we welcome discussions about this.

we care a lot about the system community and our simply plural so will likely discuss that a lot in our posts. we may post simply plural resources occasionally.

we like reading, indie pop, iced drinks, collecting things, and various cartoons.

we don't believe having a dni works well, however byf: we support the lgbtqia community, people of colour, Palestine, neopronouns, xenogenders and self diagnosis.

we don't support hate, fakeclaiming, radqueers or transids.

A few years ago we joined some system discord servers. Two of them specifically there were issues regarding closed culture names. In both of them, at some point, we were pulled aside to discuss the names of some alters (kai and Kenji, if memory serves me correctly). Immediately the mods told us we had to change those names, and that it was cultural appropriation. However, they did not know our race or ethnicity. We are white, yes, but to be immediately assuming that is weird. They had no way to tell what race I was, and didn't ask at any point. There was no room for discussion and it is strange to immediately assume someone cant use a certain name - especially when it's typically white systems who are enforcing this. It's often boiled down to a very black and white you can use it and you can't use it which I feel also ignores some very real situations where it's more complicated than that (or sometimes when it's unnecessary, some names are very common globally but originated in china or Japan, to say an alter can't be called them because of the origin is also strange).

I'm not sure if this is still a big issue in system spaces, but we wanted to talk about it briefly. Feel free to share your own experiences.

Posts that have polls followed by a GoFundMe to increase engagement are a good idea - but it sickens me how many people vote on the poll and don't reblog. How heartless can you be?

I just saw a poll with 20K+ responses, followed by 6K notes on the actual post begging for help. Anyone who can scroll past that sickens me.

We need motivation to fill out profiles or attempt to at least. So we'll set some notes and goals for it.

5 notes: do the simplest groups (things like gender, age) for as many as possible

10 notes: finish the more complex groups, like system structure (not adding people to it yet)

15 notes: do fifteen profiles, as many fields as possible

All other notes: competing more profiles, based on how many notes there are

We love simply plural as an app. It's incredibly helpful for us to record info and track patterns throughout our system. We have put a lot of work into our account and our profiles and making sure they work for us.

But it's hard to fill out. It's incredibly hard to work out information about alters unless they're fronting typically, and even then it's a long process to identify their roles, amnesia barriers, triggers etc.

It's infuriating, and it causes a strangely large amount of jealousy and annoyance towards systems we know that fill them out with ease. I'm jealous of their communication and how easy it is for them. Of how simple learning about their system is.

As a system, especially when we were younger, we sought out online communities. I remember feeling like everyone within those communities had the most exciting systems, every alter was fascinating with an elaborate backstory and life in headspace, with magical powers or some special trait to top it all off. Every other post seemed to be about funny communication between alters or an aesthetic post about who they were. And as a system who doesn't have that, who doesn't have a ton of fictives who yearn for their source partners or a host with magical powers and an extended family insys, we often felt left out in a way. We felt like we needed those traits to be valid, to be included.

We've since realised that's bullshit, and in all honesty it's more common for a did system to not have any of that. That it's okay for our alters to be 'boring', for our very clinical did to be 'boring'.

Shout out to boring systems.

To systems who don't have many, if any fictives

Whose alters don't have extensive backstories or exomemories

Who don't have a headspace

Whose headspace isn't interesting

Whose alters don't have aesthetic about me's or profiles or carrda of pluralkits

Who are private about who's in front

Who don't like to share personal information

Who don't have exciting innerworld events

Who don't have funny moments between alters

Who don't hear funny jokes or comments when fronting

Whose alters are human

Whose alters don't have magical powers or inhuman features

Whose alters don't have complicated insys relationships

Who don't present overtly

And this isn't to say systems who have the 'interesting' alters, systems, headspaces and presentations are faking or wrong. It's a valid way for did and osdd to present, but it's one that's very heavily represented whereas more covert, 'boring', clinical presentation is often ignored online.
