quick update!

hey guys, 

I know I haven't really been on tumblr lately as I've been super super busy! I just finished the first semester of my junior year and it went by so so so slow and pretty fast now that I look back but mostly slow haha. This semester I worked on finding myself an internship after an extremely long process. It was NOT easy! If you guys want tips or even an insight on how my internship search went then I would be glad to share!! Just let me know! That was super super stressful but I found myself a company that I feel like I can fit right into and not feel uncomfortable. I am a business major but I don't really think I fit into the whole suit and tie 24/7 culture. Just not something I really like lol the place I found is super chill yet a very hardworking place where I see myself definitely getting a little experience in figuring out what it is that I want to do for the rest of my life, which is super scary to think about as I type that out hahah. Its actually very terrifying lol. Let me know what kinds of things you guys what to read about and stuff!!

Scholarship Question :)

Someone asked what scholarships were and what the requirements are for them generally :)  (THANK YOU FOR THE SUGGESTION)

A scholarship is literally you being paid money to support your education based on what your grades are. If paying for college is a struggle for you/your family (which it is for literally almost every family out there) then scholarships come in handy, they are lifesavers. 

Basically, there are a ton of different ones that you can apply for. They have scholarships for SO many different things. But the key thing is that you have to apply!! Because each scholarship is different, there are generally different specific requirements that they are looking for. And once you apply, the waiting process is about 6-12 weeks before you find out if the scholarship is yours or not. 

You don't want to wait last minute to figure out how you are going to pay for college lol so its always good to start looking as soon as you can even if it is early. Actually, its never too early for anything haha. This is like very general information about scholarships but when you apply for the ones you want, they will tell you everything that you need to know about them :)

We all know that waking up in the morning can be SO hard sometimes and ill admit 90% of the time I sleep for an extra like 20 mins because I'm just THAT lazy and tired hahah. I saw this and was like ‘wow maybe this could actually work!’

1. Breakfast - sometimes if you look forward to eating something super yummy you'll have a good incentive to get out of bed and get ready

2. Darkness - sometimes sleeping in total darkness can help you fall asleep much faster as opposed to laying awake on your phone or thinking

3. Water - water is just good for you lol

4. Reading - idk about you but reading a super boring book can knock me out so quick

5. Plans - sometimes if you know how your morning is supposed to be going and you're kinda a control freak, then you'll be more willing to get up and make sure that you stay on track 

6. Phone - you don't have to turn it all the way off, but I put my phone on ‘do not disturb’ mode every night

7. Alarm - I used to do this all the time, you're literally forced to get up and g turn off your alarm bc we all know thats the most annoying sound in the world. If you have a bathroom in your room, try putting it in your bath room so that you end up in your bathroom.

First day of school shit

Today was the first day of my junior year of college! Which means I only have 2 years left which is fucking scary as shit. Im sad to say that when you get older, “syllabus week” slowly just isn't a real thing anymore and professors don't hesitate to jump into material as if it isn't the first day which really sucks. Thankfully i only had 2 classes today and they weren't too bad.

Venting about heartbreak...

Im feeling like I need to vent about my love life lmao. A little while ago I went through one of the worst/hardest breakups of my life. The boy I was dating, I had been with since I was 16 years old up to a little after I turned 19. So as you can imagine, that is kinda a long time. Nearly three years with this boy and thousands of memories shared. He broke up with me because he didn't think he could keep me happy (which was actually a bullshit excuse because I don't think he was feeling me anymore). He stopped talking to me for 6 months and only asked about me to my friends (who all hated him) and didn't have the guts to ask me to my face how I was doing. Luckily we went to different colleges so I didn't have to pass him on campus (THANK GOD). I lost myself for MONTHS afterward. It was by far the worst of my times. I had really gone down the drain.

Months passed and I had my fair share of rebounds that didn't last and mini heartbreaks because my self esteem was plummeting because of them. I truly 100% didn't think I could ever care for someone the way I cared for my ex ever again. That was almost a sure thing for me. 

The semester ended and I spend every single day of winter break with my friends trying to keep myself busy while my ex posted pictures on social media of him taking this girl on a date at the places he used to take me. Talk about a stab in the heart all over again huh. I could never bring myself to defriend him on all the social media accounts i followed him on, and yes I realize now that the was the dumbest thing I could do to myself. Winter break was over and soon school started up again and to my surprise I was in a much better place. I was beginning to act like myself again and I made so many new friends because I was no longer restricted from doing whatever I wanted to do. I felt like almost a new person. All the new friend-making I did brought me my new boyfriend..

We had two classes together and a bunch of mutual friends although we had never really spoken to each other. He began to sit by me in our first class and made small talk but I immediately brushed it off as no big deal because a relationship was the last thing I was thinking about. I was also talking to another boy who went to a college an hour away from me and I really liked him, he was nearly perfect except he was actually a total ass wipe lol. We began sitting by each other in both of our classes and we had become decent friends by then, I even told him about my current love life status which he gave me advice on. I drove an hour to see this new boy, spent the night with him (nothing happened don't worry lol) and the next morning he told me he wasn't looking for a relationship. I was crushed all over again. That night I got super drunk with my friends (at this point he was part of my friend circle) and I drank so much i blacked out. He carried me back to my room in 30 degree weather for about 15 minutes hahaha I will never forget that. After that we hung out a lot more and he told me about how he'd had his eyes on me since our freshman year of college (so about a year) and he finally got to talk to me and he liked me and all that good stuff. 

Were about to hit 6 months of dating now and i am so beyond thankful for him. He made me love when i thought i never could again and he is the farthest thing from a douche bag, something thats hard to find these days, especially in college when everyone just wants to hook up. 

I realize my rant is super super long but its like a mini message that your first love doesnt have to be your last. And we should give a round of applause to our second loves because they teach us that love is possible after a terrible heartbreak.

Just a little update: I will be moving into my first apartment soon (one week!!!) and I'm super excited about decorating it. If you guys are interested in seeing the turnout let me know! :)

This is so super important because I've met far too many girls who think pretending to be dumb is cute and actually being smart is nerdy. Truth is, no guy wants to be with a bimbo lets be real here. Intelligence is such a powerful trait that you can be attracted to and its not always easy to find. Just a reminder to all the ladies out there that being smart is the greatest thing out there!

Just followed so I'm sorry if you've been asked this before. I'm starting college in less than 3 weeks. Got any advice for incoming freshmen? I'd appreciate the help ☺️💕

I do have a couple tips for you! 

1. Befriend your roommate (if you're dorming and you don't know them already) you're going to have to live with this person so its super super important that you two get along because trust me, fights will happen often if you don't. Your roommate might even turn out to be your best friend, but if not, try to stay on good terms with them lol

2. Don't go crazy with the parting lmao - my freshman year I might have gone a little over board and my grades took the fall for me. College classes move SO fast. You really have to prepare yourself for the work load you're about to get. Its so important to stay on top of things because its SO easy to fall behind

3. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there! - You will meet so many different kinds of people and you will realize that this is NOTHING like high school. Don't be afraid to join clubs or talk to new people in your classes or explore campus and try new things. College is all about showing yourself what you can do and what your potential is

4. Be careful with school - i cannot stress this one enough. Like i said earlier, its so easy to fall behind and get carried away with things. Buy yourself a planner (trust me you won't look dumb almost everyone has one, I thought it was dumb at first too lol) and write down homework and assignments because there are very high chances that your professor won't repeat himself or write it down for you. Like I said, you gotta stay on top of things as much as you can. Along with that goes being able to balance your social life with school life. It can be hard but trust me it is NOT impossible. College is all about having fun and stuff but its also about working hard! 

These are probably some of my biggest tips but if you have any specific questions I would be MORE than happy to answer them for you! :)
