wanted to do my photo project this semester on the notion of mobility aids being extensions of our bodies, the yarn was done by a friend
edit: the shibari comments are one thing but if you put these non-sexual photos of me in my wheelchair on your porn blog i'm blocking you 👍🏻
Digital piece inspired by church stained glass, and The Lords in Black, eldritch monsters from the Hatchetfield trilogy of on-stage musicals by Team Starkid. They're worshiped by the Church of the Starry Children, aka a cult (hence the church window inspo).
Plushies look like this btw
They're demented and I love them! Tinky's panel (the yellow-orange goat thing) turned out as my favorite, but I'm quite happy with all of them. Stained glass effect was achieved by literally just overlaying a png of textured glass and lowering the opacity. And by making all the lines connect to make it feel more real (realized that like halfway through making it lol).
Never done stained glass-esq stuff before, but I've always wanted to try it, and this was a lot of fun!! 10/10 would do it again. I would do physical stained glass, if only I had the budget or skill for that, but alas, we make do.
character design class
I have a question for Tumblr that is for pedagogical (as in, I’m a university professor) purposes, but specifically dedicated to Gen Z / people on this site who are around the age of university students (let’s say about 18-24, a couple years older or younger is fine though) and live in the USA. If you’re from another place or much older or younger than that age range, feel free to boost this — I want a lot of people to see this! — but don’t give your answer on this post, including in reblogs or tags or so on. Leave that for people in my age/location range:
How much do you know about Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Have you seen it? If you haven’t, what do you know about it? I’m talking more about the premise, plot and major characters and themes and worldbuilding and all that, not so much the circumstances of its production or its actors or writers or anything real-world like that. (The Watsonian stuff, if you will.)
Additionally, what would you say your peers’ level of familiarity with it is?
If people who qualify do want to indicate their exact age and/or state or broader region of the U.S. in tags too, that’s great, but not required.
