Since the next chapter is taking longer than I wanted, here is something even better to tide you over. @nomlioart has completed Chapter 2 sketches of TDWM from a scene I really liked, and OMG THEY DID IT PERFECTLY. I am so over the moon with how these turned out (Look at Shadow's intense glare LMAO Look at Sonic's gulp LOL) I love how these turned out, thank you so much for the incredible art once again and for all the patience with me to perfect the vision, you went above and beyond <3 ;w;

I believe the one who is most likely to run away is Espio. My reasoning is like. We know he is deeply loyal and wants to stay with the team, but his own self image is a higher priority. He would NEVER abandon the team out of selfishness, instead he would leave because he feels like he isn’t good enough for the team, and that he needs to be better in every way that he can be. Espio is very much a person who craves perfection. He would see leaving as the honorable thing to do. His disappearance would have no fanfare, I imagine all he would do is leave a short note that gives no indication as to where he went. He doesn’t want anyone searching for him, as he feels like he NEEDS to train himself into perfection.

Vector would never leave because he’s too stubborn to. Charmy would never leave because he’s too emotionally attached to the ones he loves. Espio is already halfway out the door on a bad day, he just hasn’t decided he’s failed enough yet.

The issue is less that Charmy would deliberately quit and more that he would get distracted by something, forget to tell his family what he's doing, and then go missing for weeks before he shows back up at the Chaotix house drinking out of a bottle with his missing person flyer printed on it, wondering why Vector is crying.

This has already happened more than once.
