ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ๐IT WAS AN ABANDONED REBEL BASE the General has told him - there Black Squadron was going to be able to find the Holo that they needed to find Lord San Tekka, the last man who has heard about Jedi Master Luke Skywalker - it was the first part of what later would become one of the longest missions of his life. But that map was important to them - and apparently for the First Order too.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย โBlack Leader do you copy?โ He heard in his comm the voice of Snap. โI hear you buddy, whatโs going on?โ The man asked as he carefully moved through the halls of the base, trying to find the holo, BB-8 had scanned the place and knew where the holo was supposed to be accordingly to the information provided by the General. โThere is a TIE Interceptor here.โ Karรฉ said, and Pava added. โJust one Interceptor.โ
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย No stormtroopers? That was odd, normally the First Order travelled with a squadron, more often than not, quite big. โI guess they are here for the same reason.โ He figured. โI will stay on alertโฆโ Just then BB-8 managed to open the door of the room where they were supposed to find the holo, and he found the pilot. โGuys, I think I found him.โ He toldย the others on the commlink, before his attention turned towards the man.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Dameron rolled his eyes at the comment on his height - he normally didnโt like that sort of commentary but he wasnโt going to let that distract him. โWell I would love to say the same but I donโt know you.โ The pilot said - now this was going to be interesting, Poeโs hand was over his blaster but hasnโt pulled it out yet, waiting. They were in a cold war so to speak, neither of them could attack the other openly if they didnโt want to start the proper war.
jac hummed, eyeing the blaster that the other maleโs hand hovered over before returning his gaze to his face.ย โjac riles, lieutenant, first order special forces,โ he said smugly.ย โthere. now weโre on even ground... sorta,โ he shrugged a little, scrunching his face with his words playfully. he took a slow step forward, moving a little closer to the holo, just to see how far he could push dameron, hands up for good measure.ย
heโd heard stories; they all had. dameron had a heavy body count and was a general pain in the first orderโs ass. one wrong move and jac was just another number. he could give a shit about this holo, really. all he had to do was say it hadnโt panned out or that dameron had got away with it as he pulled in. it was no skin off his back. everyone was looking for it, the majority of the special forces were going to come up empty handed, thatโs just how it was going to be.
the moment was tense and he held poeโs gaze, not daring to look away. this could go terribly, terribly wrong. he was well aware of that, and his heart raced as he raised a brow. โyour move, dameron.โ
