The Diary of the creativity and the waiver
I have to say! I really enjoyed a lot of this book: “The Diary of the creativity and the waiver” by Timo Kiuru! God damn! It was so good!
I love how Kiuru tells about his life of The Creative Leader and somethings what have happened to him! I also enjoy a lot how sneakily he tells how the making “new” creations happens! I learned lot of working different kind of people, different places and not giving fear a chance! And I also know this book is not fo everyone. Some might even say: “How did you learn anything from that book?!” I don’t know but there at this book is lot of how my mind works and also.... that is the kind of work I would love to do on some day!
The Price of Fear
Hello again! :)
So I coudln’t resist a temptation to grab this book at library named: The Price of Fear written by Kari Hyppönen. It looked different and I think the name of it is already interesting: What does actually fear prevent us from doing? I know it is good that we fear things what actually will hurt us or get us dead.... but how does our fear affect on our dreams! Or life in generally? Will we live the life we dreamed to be us a kid or have our fears inhibit our dreams?
I really enjoyed how Hyppönen writes and maneuver the reader to get first knwo what fear is and at least to think what have fear do in our life.
I actually have been wondered this a while... In my life the fear is definitely affect negatively in my life.
I don’t mean our world’s current situation on Coronavirus. I know this pandemic is not good thing and people have became more for example frustraded and angry or being in grief and others say that this is not affect yet on their life.
But let’s get back on the subject! I have wondered how the fear of what others will think -- have affect on people’s job/life/hobbies? And how we have by ourself create our own fears prevent us from trying to reach our dreams! I have some this kind fears too.. And I am trying to overcome them that I could some day say that: “I love my life. I live my dream life.”
I am not yet on that situation, but I wish to be there on some day.
Mindfullness book, huh?
Hi!
So I read a book called name by “A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World “ written by Mark Williams and Danny Penman and I have to say: I didn’t like this book. I don’t know if it is because I read a translate of this book.
What do you say? Is it better in english?
In that book Williams and Penman tells what mindfullness is and there is also lot of different kind of practices. ( I did lot of them.. but not in 4 week.... I was rush.. oops..)
The Happiness is already living in you
Hi again!
I will go straight to the point Auli Malimaa has written this book which can translate as "The Happiness is already living in you - 9 habits to be happy". In the book Auli tells how we have different kind of personalities and each personality have own troubles to overcome. This book is based on ennegrams, wel at least I think so because the end of the book she tells everyone enneagram main type personality and then how that person can overcome its "weakest" points..
To me this book was more a reminder what I did in my teens: read lot of horoscope and personality -shit for fun. I didn't have nothing better to do back then... well at least sometimes. Nice way to go back and remimber old good time.
Service design - new methods for obtaining and utilizing user information
I might be a really boring person, but this book "Service design - new methods for obtaining and utilizing user information" provided by Satu Miettinen was to me more like a fast manual how to make a service design... I have own paper notes of this book, so I won't write here so much.
(Oh gosh! I am sorry, but not sorry I FIND SOME SHIP THINGS AND I AM GOING DOWN WITH THIS... SHAT. *just having casually fangirl moment here*)
BUT! I actually engourage you to read this book! It is really fast to read and it give you clear information what you should do when you are doing a service design as a freelancer. (Reading this book does not make you professional!)
Make yourself a master of thinker - Lauri Järvilehto
Oh boy.... Most of the people love this book and I love the idea of this book...
Järvilehto tells in this book what are the thouhgts, how we have 2 different minds and 3 different way of thinking, the thinking is not just some brainwork and how the welfare affects on your thinking process... After that he tell practices makes a master.... If you haven't studied a psychology, I hihgly recommend you to read this book. It is easy to read and somewhat fast. (Still depends on how fast you do usually read books.) In this book there are everything essentials things to understand better of your own thinking progress.
And again i have read too much psychology.... so nothing new to me... it was only a repetition, but hey it is good book still. :)
Timetable of the Future - Perttu Pölönen
So in this book Timetable of the Future Pölönen tells about 13 different thing what affects on future and what we should developp more on ourselves and on our society.
I have to say that this book didn't offer me actually nothing new, so I were more bored than usually. This book isin't bad, I know poeple who actually love this and got a lot of inspiration and knowledge of this book. It is well and locigally written book.
5AM Club - Robin Sharma
Hi again everyone!
I wanted to tell this Robn Sharmas book calleb by name: "5 AM Club".
In that book Sharma tells a story how two person are gettin in incredibly travel in their life time and how they are growing as a person by waking up 5 am and having a power hour of their own time.
I find Sharmas book really well written, but I must warn it is really heavy package, because there are so much profound information of life. Thought it is only 329 pages long it took more time read than normally book legnth by this will take to me.
If you want to try 5AM club methods, and not to read the book, there is 5AM club app, where Sharma will lead the way of better life.... but remember: you must done the work!
I personally enjoyed this book and took notes of it what I have begin follow. I am currently on day 18 and breaking old habits and inserting new better habits takes 66 days that new better habits will come naturally.
Some examples of good methods:
- Wake up 5 AM
- Power hour
- 50/10 - rule
- 22/22/22
- 2x3 action/operatingmodel
- 5 daily - pattern
- 90/90/1 - rule
(You gotta read the book, if you want to know what those mean. ;D )
Pim! You are creative
So I read really fast this book called by Pim! You are creative written by Paavo and Lauri Järvilehto. This one wasn’t my cup of tea at all, because most of things what was written in the book was too familiar to me.
It tells how everyone is creative and we should change narrative if we think otherwise. Our creatiness make life more fun and work more easier. Everyone have to work to be creative person and think by their own brains. We shouldn’t be zombies, who are fed by what companies want us to do.
Joy of tidying - Marie Kondo
I just love asian things and to my way to think things Marie Kondos organizing tips just makes sense. We should be grateful of things what we have, when we have and when it is time, we should be gratefull and let others have fun (if these items are in that condition.) with them.
I actually FINALLY MANAGED to get all my clothes to my closet! I was so surprised of it! And it made my day better! I am way of changing my organizing skills better and I will use Marie Kondos tehcniques for everywhere in my home and life.<3 I am so happy that I finally managed to read this book! It totally was worth of it! :)
Thank you Kondo for all of your wise advices.
Joyful: The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness
Joyful: The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness by Ingrid Fetell Lee tell how to improve joy in yourlife by adding colours and different kind of texture. It kind of reminds me of Amber Scholl and her fabulous taste of clothes and marvellous not so usual objects. (Hi lady! You rock! I have been watched you since your first video and I don’t believe you will ever see this, but if you do: I wish you for the best of the best.<3.) At book Ingrid tells how colors and textures affect on us and how we can work with it.
After reading this book I have begin to use more calming colors just to make some experiments at my work. I have manage to create using certain type of colors a relaxing enviroment and affect to people how they react to me. It is surprisingly fun to see how people can be restless at first and when they see me wearing calming blue, they begin to calm.
So that is what I have learned at this book and that everyone should have a little bit glitter and fun colours in their life. :)
Michelle Obama - Becoming
Trigger warning: using colour term
I actually prefer this original name: Becoming. It says more than finnish version: “My story”. My story is the one what you tell your grandchildren, but becoming to me tells how you have came so unique you! <3
I really loved this book, because I learnt so much from it! I appreciate how Michelle told what it is actually be darker skin in USA and I aknowledge that it is different for everyone. I live in Finland and “in the old days” everyone have been white. Nowdays in our street view have multicolor people! And I like it! I have always had a lot of friends at different countries - Japan - China - Kanada - USA - Spain -Germany etc... So I really don’t care what you look like, I care what kind of person you are and how you treat others! And actually I think that people who move in Finland, should follow finnish laws like everyone else.
And I don’t want to mean rude.... but there was lot of things at Michelles life what I could identify with. One was that how people judge based on your relatives and skin colour. I have had some what same, but still not.Obviously I am not black. People have judge from my childhood because of I have always looke different, I have always been different and because my relatives are different than others. I don’t have blond hair, i am not petite and skinny. I have never been. That is why people have judge me and treat badly and they still do. I have just getting too old for reacting those people.
Until the end at Michelles great book can found really good advice how to work in you life to getting to the places where you have meant to go and be, thought you don’t know. The most important thing is keep going on and try your best doing your work and being a good person. Those advices are something, what you should also read, then you will find the right ones for you! :) I won’t tell here them, because I wan’t to work “secretly”.
Customer expertise - Listen to your customer - Hannu Mattinen
This will be really short... that: “Listen to your customer” was the what I learned.
Monkey leaders manual - Tommy Lunberg, Ola Berggren
This book wasn’t cup of my tea, but I read because my mentor praised it. I think the number one reason why I don’t like it, is that I actually don’t like monkeys at all.... You who adore and like them, good for you! I am not one of you and I really don’t know why I dislike them a lot. Still that isin’t the point of the book!
The actual point of the book was that we are still animal and rely our instic and old habits, what even Monkeys have... well at least some of them. We can use the knowledge what comes from our genes, how to be a good leader and lead groups well.
I enjoyed the way they told all this to reader and best was the info boxes: like “ Use more dialog, avoid monolog”, “Practise leading”, “Be patient with the younger generation, “Celebrate when you succeed”, “Cut down injustices”, “ Create proximity to the work environment”, “Get interest in new things!”, “Be helpful” and “Find your leaderfriend”.
Actually those tips were the good “stuff” at this book...
Frank Martela - Meaning of The Life; Direction of Meaningful Life
Frank Martelas book: “Meaning of The Life; Direction of Meaningful Life” tells shortly how this meaning of life and being happy is just a marketing ploy to get consumers consume more to get happy. “I buy happines” “ Buying this is my meaning of my life.” I think Frank is genious and has done marvellous background work by writing this book. He describes the how you actually can make your life meaningful - and that the searching of the meaning of the life is an illusion.
I find in that book, what I needed to hear to heal myself. I won’t anymore buy all these “life” influencers nonsenses and think how an earth they could have time to do all what they claim to do. Yes they do really good job, but It has lost meaning to me. I hope you won’t get me wrong. I don’t mean that everything what they says are lie - absolutely not! They have good things what they say they do or what they recommend you to do! BUT you always should think, does that thing help you get your own goal? Or help you get more actually healthy?
I won’t anymore run to find mine meaning of life. I will life my life the meaningfull way to me! At the end it will show, what kind my life was. I will enjoy this journey on this Earth as long I am here. I will enjoy my companies and hopefully do good things to other too!
Tommy Hellsten: You will get what you give up
Tommy Hellsten book: “You will get what you give up”, tells that people should learn and accept that everything is chancing and when you give up on something, we usually get better at the place of what we gave up. Sometimes things we are giving or we should give up, might be a toxic to us, for example: toxic friends, partner, work place, home... When we are giving up this toxic thing, we will heal as a person and we will find sometimes even more better things than we ever would have imagined to be. Sometimes toxic thing can be just our own habit, which will make life horrible, if we can’t get rid of, or change it to better habit.
