Scene starts in a police car, unnamed criminal sitting in the back, darkened face wearing a black hoodie. Establishing that the character shown is a criminal.
All that can be heard is diegetic car sounds and radio music. The music being suspenseful and quiet, helping set the mood for the film.
The unknown criminal is then shown from behind before a POV shot looking down at his hands bearing handcuffs. The radio is turned down to hear the criminal narrate.
How has this happened, it was all thought out?
He clenches his fists, adjusting the handcuffs and lets out a sigh.
Camera goes to a high angle shot of the car.
I did my part; all I had to do was dump the knife and run. How could I get that wrong? It was such an easy score, A.B’s Minimarket. We should have looked for that bloody alarm, such a dumb mistake.
Fades into a flashback of the robbery, with a close-up of Tyler and the music stops. An establishing shot of the shop with Tyler and Jordan.
Tyler and Jordan enter the shop and up to the counter.
Tyler points to the till whilst Jordan looks around the shop looking for cameras, alarms and exits.
How much cash you got in there?
(Shouting) There’s a camera over there, and the door we came out of.
The shop owner reaches his hand towards the phone. Tyler ruffles his hands out of his pockets holding a knife.
I’d keep my hands were I can see them if I were you!
The shop owner opens the till that only has £20 in.
Tyler points the knife at the shop owner who nervously takes the money out of the till and puts it on the counter.
Jordan reaches over to the money, grabs it and walks away. Tyler stays for a couple of seconds holding the knife.
Jordan backs away and the two leave the shop. Behind the two you can see the shop owner pick up the phone.
Jordan and Tyler walk to the corner of the street.
You take the money; go to the alley by yours. I’ll take the knife and get rid of it. Just don’t get caught.
I know what I’m doing! You’re the rookie here.
Tyler drops the knife on the corner and Jordan runs off in one direction leaving Tyler.
Tyler then runs off leaving the knife on the floor. Chase scenes of both Tyler and Jordan on the way to their hideout with intense music in the background.
Tyler falls over a crack on the floor, the scene goes silent and the screen goes black.
Jordan is standing in the alleyway waiting for Tyler. He pulls out his phone to check the time.
This is the place, isn’t it? He surely didn’t get caught.
The scene fades into a close-up of Jordan narrating. Slow quiet music to accompany the narrating.
I’m sorry Ty, I did my part, and you just couldn’t get away.
Tyler walks up to the police station with a police station. Slow music builds up.
It all happened too quickly.
Jordan looks at the money in his hand.
Was it worth it? 20 quid and now you’re locked up.
Jordan stops narrating and the music stops.
Screen blacks out and goes to the credits of ‘TROJAN’.
