Did all of you putting responsibility on Zhenya saw Sinitsina? What on Russian figure skating and everyone who worships Eteri Tutberidze method makes anyone think Zhenya has a voice on this when she is back to the environment that taught her to perform through broken bones and pain to not let down the audience and the people who train her? Why tf does anyone think it is different for her that all the years of Eteri broken girls? HOW?!

“I find the hypocrisy telling that when Zhenya traveled amidst a pandemic she was heavily criticized especially by Rika fans, when Rika does the same thing a few months later it’s not mentioned at all. This should not be an attack towards Rika by any means. It just shows that all the complaints were because it was Zhenya and not because they were concerned for ppl because of the pandemic. I think everyone should decide on their own if they want to risk a travel in a pandemic.”

She was in a happy and trusting partnership with her coaches and friends at TCC and there is no way she just tossed that away on a whim. I’m absolutely gutted and terrified for her. She looked lifeless in that picture with Eteri & co.”

I don’t like speculation on athletes weights as a general practice

It’s one thing speculation on isolated cases of weight change and another when said club has a history and numerous statements from their athletes in horrendous tactics and beliefs about food. This is not a “woke” case of “let’s not say a thing because all body types are good”. There is serious base to being worried about this change. Be it nutritional or nervous. Either way, it’s happened there.

Also test skates were pre-eteri move and it’s okay to be concerned it’s just that I don’t think bringing it up in terms of speculation is helpful to anyone especially zhenya. Being worried about her health after this move is something everyone already is and this kind of confession isn’t constructive at all about it.

I on contrary think the worst thing to do in front of a group with over a decade of these methods is not saying anything. That only serves them to keep going on abusing people.

I agree we should speak about eteris methods, because they’re awful, but I don’t like bringing up these issues in regards to the skater. I’m sorry if this wasn’t clear originally—calling out eteri I’m all here for but what I don’t like is bringing up specific mentions to the skaters themselves and their health because lots of them do look at public sites and the last thing I want is for them to feel worse in an already terrible situation.

Then Eteri does this to ghosts? She is still winning best coach awards because of the nebulousness of her abuses. This is not a best case scenario, you have a girl with 11 years of bad teachings regarding food back into that environment. And if we can’t talk about the immediate effect it has taken on her then how on earth do we think we are making any good. Those girls can’t. Earlier than anything they’ll put them in front of a camera to read like hostages “Eteri feeds me well” while all non scripted statements say the contrary “I fill with a shrimp” “we didn’t have food or water”. Put a face onto them, not doing so has helped no one and more girls are coming.
