Modelmaking for Collaboration anf Presentation
For our group work in Collaboration and Presentation we had to make a model on the building, that all our assignments were based on , 66-68 Wilsonstreet, also called station 18.
Our task was it to design an interior of a communal student area. Given the floor plan of Station 18 we could choose each a room and think of the purpose of the room. We choose an entry hall, a study hall a kitchen and an outside bar area.
My space was a study hall and I found it quite a challenge thinking about how to populate such a large open interior.
I tried dividing the space into two areas. a private area and and a more communal area. Small private study desks and a elevated podest which should have a more relaxed feel to it. With sitting opportunities and comfortable seating where students can work more comfortable on their assignments and study.
My space was just next to the entry space and shares a whole wall to the kitchen. We wanted to take that non carrying wall out and create a bar between the kitchen and study hall.
With the exposed brick as feature walls and the polished concrete we were trying to achieve a industrial, yet modern look.
