Hey. It's been a while.
I'll keep this short and sweet, and put extra stuff under the cut. It's something I should've said a while ago.
SCARLETWINGEDKING, as well as all associated sideblogs, are going on an indefinite hiatus.
There's a lot of reasons for this. My interests shifting, other roleplays I'm in becoming active again, but the biggest is probably my mistakes here. I'm not going to get into to detail about that here, but basically, I messed up big time on multiple occasions in this community. And while I want to try and make it up, I have to first forgive myself.
I tend to think back on those mistakes and then dwell on them for far to long, leading to me death-spiraling. I've made some great memories with the people here, but I struggle to let myself enjoy the good times, because of the bad.
Until I feel like I can move past this, I'm hesitant to return here. As such, I am now officially putting Sprocket and my other sideblogs on hiatus, something I should've done months ago.
Blog by blog, here's the projected possibility of me returning to my muses here:
@scarletwingedking, Sprocket the Koraidon
Sprocket was my first muse here. He'll probably stay the same if I do come back, but he is so synonymous with me as a mun I worry he won't exactly get back off the ground.
@combattorque, Eri of Team Star
Also unsure. If I do return to Eri, there's a high possibility I make her as a new account, but I don't know yet.
@tabletofruin, Wo-Chien
Likely will not be returned to anytime soon.
@jamminsalmonjunction, Multimuse, Splatoon Salmonid OCS, and @serpentsofire, Duelmuse, Ibushi and Narwa from Monster Hunter
These two blogs are not Pokemon ones, so I might remake these as seperate accounts and return to them sooner than the others.
I'm not leaving Tumblr Roleplay entirely though. I have been active on another blog, and if you're up for crossover threads, or just want to still see my writing, you can find me on @shellofdenial, writing Marie from Persona 4 Golden. I might also make a new account for a Pokemon muse that is different from the ones I already play, in an attempt at a 'new start'.
I don't have much else to say. I just want all of you to keep being awesome, and live your lives to the fullest.
@combattorque : She sits down next to Ortega, smiling, "Hope I'm not late. What did you need help with? Starmobile maintenance or something like that?"
“ yeah, actually . “ he chirps, sitting up from where he was on the ground . his voice was muffled for a moment, face covered by a welder’s mask that was soon pulled off .
“ I have some metal I need you to move … but I also just wanted to see you . It’s been a while . you’re okay, right ? “
She'd smile slightly at seeing him in the mask. Good to know Ortega still loved to do what he did.
Eri's no stranger to having to help him with moving heavy objects, but she pauses slightly when he continues. "...Yeah, I've been doing alright. Just haven't had that much time to myself. But it's good to see you again."
>>The new Paldean Winds episode grabbed me by the throat and I'm back. eri's real. i cant believe it. i thought theyd never mention team star outside of the games.
ortega frowned, looking up and giving eri a pointed look . “ riri, you’re all tense . relax your muscles before you bust a blood vessel . “
trying to keep his own hands from faltering, he worked on painting eri’s nails with extra precision . his bottom lip stuck out slightly, eyes narrowed in CONCENTRATION .
“ you feel like telling me what’s on your mind ? come on, I won’t tell . you trust me, right ? “
Eri normally isn't known for being jittery. So of course Ortega would pick up on it, as she tries her best to hold still despite her worries. He always did see right through her.
"No I'm not, I'm not tense," she lies anyway, knowing how unbelievable that is.
Her nails are short - cut down all the way to not claw someone when sparring. But her shifting isn't making painting them any easier.
But Eri can't defy her friends for long. With a huff she relents, saying, "Just... thinking about how I'm so busy. I hardly get you hang out with you, or our other friends, and when I do, I'm worrying about where I have to go next. I just can't relax."

Probably met once as little kids when they both lived in Castelia City and became best friends for the day but never saw each other again until Operation Starfall was in full swing. Celeste not recognizing Eri and her memory of that day being vague with how Celeste blocked memories to cope with her years long isolation.
Eri is one of the people Celeste asks regularly to stargaze with.
"CHAMA, GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH! That is not for you!" The Pukei-pukei has stolen one of her company's belongings, and was fiddling with it in his tongue. The fourteen foot-tall troublemaker lets out a mischievous gekker as Mari tries to finangle it from his grip. At last, he drops it with a thud—Mari just barely picking up her foot in time to avoid it falling onto it.
"Oh for Elders' sakes . . . okay. I'm sorry." The rider sighs with exasperation, and fetches the stolen item from the grass, grimacing as she tries to wipe away strands of Pukei spittle away from it. "Don't worry, we can wash it out . . . where'd you say you were from again? I didn't really catch it."
It's a little more than impressive that Mari's able to handle such a large creature. Sure, Eri's no stranger to keeping animal companions, but she rarely ever sees something that big. She's got a fair amount of respect for the rider already.
Then again, normally she doesn't get lost in a forest with nothing but the stuff on her back and one of her Pokemon. Said Pokemon happens to be the golden Revaroom hiding behind Eri, away from the Pukei-Pukei.
"Seems he has a penchant for mischief, huh?" she does her best to laugh it off, picking up the tattered grey jacket off the floor. It was already in rough shape before Chama got to it, so it's really just the slobber. And maybe some poison too. Not putting that on until it's cleaned.
Looking back over at Mari, Eri answers, "I'm from Paldea. I don't really know how I got here, honestly."
Celeste held Eri's hands in her own. While she wasn't exactly used to hugging, Celeste wanted to in some way give back the physical affection that the other was giving.
"Of course!" Celeste replied, "Even if I can only do so much in regards to influencing how the other students see you, I'll try to help as much as I can." Though she was never really one to use her title of being a Champion Rank Trainer as a work around for situations like this, Celeste knew there were times it had to be used.
And she'd use that to help fix the reputation of Team Star.
"It's a shame when people still focus on what you've done in the past without ever thinking of if you've changed as a person Eri. Letting previous actions judge someone when they've clearly become a different person."
Celeste taking her hand is more than enough for Eri, and she holds on back, perhaps a little tightly.
"Thank you," she says, nodding. "Team Star is still around because you and the Director both gave us a chance. If anyone can help, it would be you." Her mind wanders back to her old badge, likely tucked somewhere in Celeste's bag with the others. Proof of the Champion's strength, even before she'd earned that title.
"If you ever need a hand, please, let me know. Or... if you just want to hang out," Eri risks, hoping Celeste won't mind the offer to be maybe even friends.
