(i most definitely have but neither can i so let’s do this!)
every hp sorting post requires a big DISCLAIMER so here is mine: i can find reasons for all the houses and all the boys, depending on which characterisitcs i highlight. (maybe that’s not reasonable, maybe i just never want the discussion on this to stop). but anyway so in this moment right heeere, right nooow, goes this:
10pm on a february night: (i’ll start with the obvious and simple ones and work my way up)
liam: gryffindor. simple, easy. i’ve never seen anyone on this page disagree with this sorting. but just for the sake of it, here have some of my arguments: louis:’liam is strong, noble, perfect and-’ zayn: ‘brave.’
liam is STRONG, NOBLE and BRAVE. liam is loyal. so so loyal. liam would be a quidditch player. probably have wood-esque tendencies. definitely captain. liam deserves a cozy and warm common room.

niall: niall who is more than meets the eye. niall who’s carefree and careful. niall who’s surprisingly randomly wise and who can remember everything that matters to him except which cheese he likes best. (good thing louis knows) niall who will never forget the birthday of a friend. niall who likes order but doesn’t like to impose it on other people. niall who’s really good at living and who follows his heart and dreams. niall who’s talented and self-assured but unassuming and hard working. niall who people easily overlook or take for granted. niall who doesn’t care about any of that. hufflepuff. he genuinely likes to hang out with the house elves in the kitchen. he sometimes even helps. they’ve always got butterbeer stashed away for him and he never told the others where the kitchens are. he’s odd enough that he’s never had trouble solving the ravenclaw common room riddle but no one ever notices. all the other houses like when he hangs out with them. he’s the quidditch game commentator. (he’d play if not for his bum knee.) his favourite subject is astronomy.
zayn: ( i selfishly want him to be in slytherin for reasons to follow but the past year….he made it clear he’s a ravenclaw.) he never follows the rules of the textbooks and, like most ravenclaws, he isn’t actually that studious but he’s got all the passion to always get there in the end anyway. he’s nerdy and random and creative. original and gets lost in his head easily. even for a ravenclaw he’s untypical with care of magical creatures being his favourite subject and all. even in the midst of all the highly individual ravenclaws, he often feels out of place. too emotional and uncontrolled sometimes. too proud and wild. he likes it though because it’s quiet and the airy common room leaves plenty scope for imagination. he’s a teacher’s favourite but doesn’t realise it. at dinner he mostly sits at one of his friends’ tables.
louis: (is so tough to sort the idiot.) let’s go with slytherin. because i like the idea of louis struggling a bit there because he’s a muggleborn and doesn’t have a lot of money. but he’s cunning and smart and their best quidditch player. he knows how to outwit them and weirdly enough possesses a lot of house pride. green looks good on him and he knows it and he’s fiercely loyal. the other slytherin’s admire his charm and wit and unpredictable nature. he’s not found in his common room too often. always running around. never studying. even though he technically likes learning. he’s chosen as prefect for reasons unbeknownst to him but he steps up to the plate and realises he actually quite likes it. responisibility looks even better on him than the house colours do.
(my other choice for louis would’ve been gryffindor btw.)
they all like to switch ties. they all sometimes wonder why none of them is in the same house. or why harry is in all of them.
yes zara, i can see why you see a bit of finn in him sometimes. although only to a certain degree. niall reminding me of finn too would be a HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST IF YK WHAT I MEAN

Ok, i’d like to put things straight… Virgo will basically be the death of me. It is, actually, a wonder, that i am not a Niall girl cause like, somehow even if i’m in the room full of people i will find someone who is a Virgo to like & hang out with. With glasses he looks even more like a Virgo , which just… kill me, okay. Kill me.
Here’s some common traits of a Virgo from other sources:

Now. Niall Horan.
His chart. Is literally. My ex’s chart. With a couple of differences. That are mostly not even that important. I’ll leave you with that.
First things first, a Lunar Leo isn’t particularly gonna have self esteem problems, let’s put it that way :P In my experience, a Virgo with the moon in Leo will be quite egocentric, and while he may appear and act selflessly (virgo trait) people who know him better/deeper know that is not always the case. Especially if you touch his ego. Mercury & Mars in Libra - he is not the confrontation king, doesn’t like conflict, prefers to live life just pretending everything’s ok tbh - and most of the time it is for him. He’s calm, won’t throw tantrums, diplomatic.
Tbh i looked at his chart and the first thought i had was… wow, he really is husband material. Because of all that Libra but also Leo in emotional areas but a Mercury mind (Virgo).
His Venus in Leo makes him a playful lover, one that is proud and will introduce you to basically anyone and everyone. His Pluto is also in Scorpio which… we get it, 1d. You’re all good in bed. Got it. Gooooot it.
127 Sextile Venus - Jupiter
He is good-hearted, generous and has a good character. He likes well-being, comfort, a life without problems. He has good relations with his circle. He is easy to approach. All the same, he falls in love easily.
47 Trine Mars - Saturn
He is energetic and determined. He has strength and resistance, ability and patience: he is tough, and sometimes insensitive, and puts all his energy and talents into overcoming all the obstacles to his success. He is obstinate, calculating, does not take on anything without having thought of all the possible consequences, he can take all the time in the world and never loses patience to achieve his objectives.
Liam Payne
And here we have… a completely different position of the moon. One that doesn’t really help the fact that he’s already a virgo. Would you believe more easily that Liam is secretly insecure rather than Niall? It’s cause of that moon. Not because Aquarius is not a confident sign, but because moon in aqua is not enough to give that meaningful boost.
Moon in Aquarius people are extremely observant. They are life-time students of human nature, loving to analyze why people do what they do. This often stems from a detached–even shy–personality, especially in youth. Whether due to character or conditioning, Moon in Aquarius people often grow up feeling “different”. Although rather sociable, they are often loners at heart. First of all, they’re both earth dominated charts, and earth usually represents the grounded, the signs of reason, that always think with their brain, yada yada. Of course it’s not that superficial, but we ain’t got time for full astrology lessons. However, Zayn’s is also water dominated, while Louis’ slightly more earth-y chart, is also fire dominated. Which makes a huge difference. We’re gonna get into that later.
Capricorn is a feet-on-the-ground, eye-on-the-prize sign. Those with Sun in Capricorn have a realistic, grounded approach to life that can be seen no matter how dreamy the rest of the birth chart suggests. These people know how to do things, and to get things done. Many Capricorns have mastered the art of making people laugh. Their sense of humor can be of the deadpan variety–they’re generally excellent at keeping a straight face. They can be bitingly sarcastic, too.

LOUIS TOMLINSON
Y’aaaaaaaaall. I cannot tell you how much sense this makes to me, do you see? DO YOU SEE?
Now here’s where the interesting part comes. He has the moon in Leo.
Leo is basically the sign of attention, it’s ruled by the sun and it expects you to know that it is , in fact, the centre of the universe (am i being too passive aggressive? i’m being too passive aggressive. BELLA I LOVE YOU ANYWAY OK??) Here’s the very, very interesting part of Lunar Leos (and i dated one, so shttttt):
This is a rather creative position of the Moon. At the very least, Moon in Leo people want to create and entertain. They can be rather lazy at times, and a little bossy too. Generally, though, they have a deep need to treat others fairly and justly. Lunar Leos require lots and lots of love and care in order to function well in the world. When they feel slighted, these people can be dramatic in their emotional displays. When their pride has been hurt, they are given to big scenes and sulking. This rarely happens in public, however. Lunar Leos are far too concerned about their image to make splashy scenes outside the comfort of their own homes. In public, they prefer to take things in dignified ways. Let’s go to the part where i almost died. Venus in Scorpio (reminder: venus is responsible for relationships.). Before i go on i must add: i am a Scorpio magnet in my social life. I have 2, used to have 3, and before that i had another one, all of these in my close circle, one of them, the most Scorpio of them all, bless her, is my best friend (who is scorpio sun….venus….rising…*yawns* *runs away*). And Scorpios are either hot or cold. There’s no middle. They are intense.
Venus in Scorpio seems fearless when it comes to intimacy. Potential lovers get the feeling that Venus in Scorpio will never stray, that they are intensely loyal to the one they love. They possess you, and somehow make it seem attractive to be possessed. Although they want to explore all of your nooks and crannies, they won’t always be forthcoming with their own. When you’ve upset these lovers, you’ll know it. Depending on the moment, Venus in Scorpio will shoot you one of the most piercing glares around, or totally blow up. Whichever style they choose, a slighted Scorpio lover is not a pretty sight. These people can be jealous of all of your attachments, but few will admit it. He refuses to accept any guidance. He lacks forethought, acts impulsively and sometimes imprudently, which can cause problems. He wants everything yesterday and uses whatever means necessary to achieve his objectives, even if they are dishonest or not very commendable. His emotional life is fraught with quarrels and sometimes violent conflicts.
40 Trine Jupiter - Neptune
He is very generous and altruistic, helping people in difficulty or sick people. He knows how to listen or, at least, how to give that impression.
109 Trine Moon - Mars
Short description: He is frank, honest, full of vigor and ambition. He is strong-willed and powerful at work. He is a little hard on himself but, above all, on others whose capacity for action is not as great.
34 Trine Moon - Mercury
There is a twinkle in your eyes, and you are never short on humor. You are playful and versatile–you make a fun companion and an interesting friend. You listen! Yes, you do talk and occasionally interrupt in your excitement, but you are a curious person who does want to hear what others have to say, and that is a real pleasure. *wipes sweat* phew. Okay. Now let’s move on to Zayn. AKA MY FAVORITE CHART.
ZAYN MALIK
Zayn’s chart gives me a headache. You’ve got all that earth in the areas of the self, and all that water in areas that represents relationships/confrontation etc.
Honorable mention: His Pluto is in Scorpio. He’s great at sex. Now let’s move on.
We already explained some Capricorn traits, now we see he also has Capricorn reasoning, and his moon is virgo (which is just bad, ok, trust me)
Lunar Virgos find security in the little things in life. They feel most content when they’ve straightened out all the details of everyday life. They appreciate simplicity, and are often most comfortable when they’re not getting too much attention from the world at large. Lunar Virgos are easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. They can be a little stiff when it comes to open, gushy displays of affection. Lunar Virgos are often shy with new people. However, when they are comfortable, they are anything but shy. The very interesting part - earth & water.
Water signs are signs of feeling. So you can imagine the confusion that goes on in his head, because man, i really wouldn’t wanna be there. Here’s the best part that i found, where this comes out, in an aspect: -109 Opposition Moon - Venus. I hope you can begin to understand how frustrating it is for your moon, your inner emotional self, to be in opposition with your venus.
When you attempt to feed the needs of one function, it is often at the expense of the other, until you find some sort of balance. This can play out in a variety of ways. For example, there can be conflicts in partnerships about parenting or whether or not to have a family. You may find yourself compromising your own emotional needs in order to find and keep love. Peace and harmony are important to you–perhaps too much so, as you can easily be taken advantage of.
I think this helps me understand the fact that Zayn lasted as long as he did in 1D despite struggling to find his voice/ to be understood.
I find it cute that his Venus is in Pisces, and even more so that he’s supposed to be a Pisces rising.
I HAD TO
“Go with the flow” seems to be a Pisces rising motto. They move about the world in a vaguely directionless, gentle manner. They come across as artists and lovers of peace; but their open minds and hearts can give them a chameleon-like persona. Others are not always sure who they’ll meet from one day to the next with a Pisces rising person. Although often quiet and shy, another day may find them talkative and passionate. They are hugely impressionable, have a dreamy disposition, and project a soft-hearted personality.
316 Conjunction Sun - Neptune
There is an unmistakably dreamy, inspired, and sensitive side to you. A marked appreciation for music and the arts is present. ZOUIS
It’s very interesting to see how many aspects Louis and Zayn have in common, which makes them similar to a much deeper level. It’s also so sweet to see that both their Venus-es are in water signs. Mars in Sagi and Mars in Cancer are two very different things though, it’s blatantly obvious how they deal with certain things differently, and with others not. Moon in Virgo (Zayn) and Moon in Leo (Louis) is a disaster as a pairing - which also means they can learn a lot from each-other. Venus in Scorpio & Venus in Pisces is perfect (here’s one for all the shippers) and they both have Pluto in Scorpio (here’s another one for all the shippers.).
so there’s a lot of aspects of the boys’ personalities we don’t know at all, and this post is not trying to clarify those, because after all we don’t know them personally. however - i was super curious to see how those aspects that we do see/guess , are manifested in their birth charts, if at all. i’m gonna state what i find is missing. this is not meant to be taken too seriously. if you don’t believe in these things you could also read it just for fun. you can laugh at it. whatever :p
ALSO, i’d take the rising signs with a pinch of salt, databanks have the times of birth (creepily so… like) but unless their own mother said it i guess there could be another rising sign, or a slight change to the chart. this is why i’m not even gonna talk about houses.

Harry Styles
I mean, Harry’s chart is pretty boring compared to some others. Ok, we get it, you’re extra Aquarius-y. Like, really. He’s witty, open-minded, some might say progressive in his little hipstery way, i mean Aquarius is even considered to be the hipster of the zodiac lol. He’s unashamed.
His moon is in Libra. Here’s an excerpt: “Lunar Librans feel safe and secure when they are in a partnership. These are the people who seem to always need to have someone tag along with them wherever they go – even if it is to the corner store. They find strength and reinforcement in and through others. Both men and women with this position are often quite charming. They can be very attractive to be around, and are often given to flirtatiousness. He is also prone to giving too much thought into how others see him, both his literal appearance and his brain.
His rising sign is supposed to be Libra. Everyone likes a Libra rising. Everyone.So i don’t find that hard to believe in some ways. And it also says, that many don’t expect a Libra rising to have had many lovers, though in many cases they have. I’m not implying anything, i’m simply stating, before y’all jump at me lmao. These are all just tendencies.

He is serious, sober, thoughtful, pays attention to detail. He likes to be with older people.
-77 Square Sun - Jupiter
Although your intentions are generally good, you are given to overdoing things. You can easily gloss over realistic details and get yourself into debt, overindulge in pleasures such as food and drink, and promise more than you can deliver. For the most part, you find help for your excesses. Somebody’s there to bail you out, as plenty of people believe that your heart is in the right place.
