You sipped your coffee eagerly. Your foot tapped on the bar connecting the significantly tall and wooden stool’s legs. Jitters. You were at Jitters almost all night. Of course, there are a few hours here and there they close, but who’s counting? It has been a bit over 48 hours since you’ve slept even for a minute. To be fair, these nightmares could become so wretched they’d keep you up anyways. It was a curse, you were sure of it, being able to see in to the future. Noting all the horrific events that would take place eventually right before your very eyes days, months, years ahead of time only left you anxious. They were frightening, sure, but they always left you….waiting.
Waiting. You had been waiting for Julian for around 10 minutes when the small bell above the door rang. He smiled as he looked around, but frowned as soon as he spotted you. You were rather disheveled and your eyes had developed circular rings that darkened every hour.
“(Y/N), good…morning?”
“Is it morning? Heh…who knew.” You sipped your coffee.
“Dear, you can’t keep this up forever.”
“Ehhhh, you don’t understand.”
“I never do, according to just about all the people I encounter.” He rolled his eyes, the corner of his lip rising just slightly. “I understand you’re neglecting responsibilities. I understand I’ve barely seen you. And I understand you haven’t been at S.T.A.R. Labs in over a week. That’s…extremely unlike you.”
“Perhaps.” You sipped your coffee again, shaking your cup a bit, trying to decipher how much was in it.
“Can you at least come say hello?” Julian urged, taking your hand.
You hesitated. “…I suppose.”
Julian smiled. “Like, now?”
You practically choked on your sip of coffee. “Are you nuts!? Look at me.”
“You look lovely.” He kissed your forehead, guiding you off your stool while holding your hand. You glared playfully. “Don’t give me that look darling.” He continued. “They’ll be happy to see you. And if Allen asks about you one. More. Time. I swear I–”
“Okay! Come on.”
No use letting his bitterness show, right?
“(Y/N)!” You heard Barry exclaim across the lab. Julian’s grip on her hand tighten. You looked at him with a smile. It loosened. You walked over to Barry, receiving a huge hug.
“Barry!” You returned the hug, smiling weakly as his hands rested on your shoulders.
“You’re shaking.”
“Caffeine.”
“You’re slightly pale.”
You broke loose and turned to Cisco who was staring at her through squinting eyes with a tilted head.
“Green isn’t a typical blush color.” Cisco let out suspiciously.
“Cisco!” Caitlyn scolded.
The room became fuzzy, almost as if you were in a sitcom, and the television was losing signal. It blackened gradually, until you felt as if your head had detached from your body. The room became something different, completely different. Julian was lying in a lab that resembled that of a dentist’s office. His arm was extended as blood dripped out of it through a long tube. His head was covered in small electronic pieces. The monitor next to him was recording his brain waves. He wasn’t pale, he was white.
You reached out to feel his face. It was frigid. You suddenly yearned to see the color of his eyes you knew so well. Three colors, you had once counted. The crinkle on his forehead you knew too well from both his playful and concentrated faces were absent, as his eyebrows couldn’t burrow any longer. The lines by his smile weren’t to be traced with her thumb, his lips rested in a fragile frown. “Julian?” You whispered, resting your forehead to his. “Julian?” Your head rose cautiously and your eyes followed the tube trailing from his arm. His blood was going through a pump and reentering his body by his ankle. Upon further studying, your eyes began to fail you once more. Your vision doubled, until you saw nothing at all.
“(Y/N)…love are you alright?” Your eyes opened wearily, revealing a frazzled Julian. “Don’t scare me!” Tears welled in your eyes. “What’s wrong? Love, you’re alright. Sleep deprived, but okay. Please get some rest. Even just a nap for starters. No, not a request. You will sleep.” Tears spilled from your eyes as he reprimanded you gently. “I’m sorry, no no, don’t cry. I just…I–.”
You sat up succinctly to see a room full of concerned faces. “We have to do something.” You nodded to them.
“What’s wrong?” Julian stood with you.
“I saw…I saw the future again.”
“The future?”
“I think so.”
“Why haven’t you mentioned—“ Barry began but Iris cut him off.
“She’s been seeing something horrific, haven’t you? When you fall asleep?”
You nodded. Iris came over, taking your hands. “What is it?”
You swallowed, your eyes glancing to Julian, your head suddenly drooping.
“Is it Julian?” Iris asked. Barry’s face seemed pained. He understood the agony through his futuristic vibes with Cisco.
“Someone steals his mind Iris. I see…him motionless, turning in to something. A pump…a cold faced…I don’t know.” Julian put his arm around your waist, silencing you.
“I’m here.” He whispered, kissing your cheek. Iris let go of your hands.
“We won’t let it happen. Cisco, you’re going to have to vibe it.”
“I can’t without—“
“I’ll do it.” You said.
“No way.” Julian became protective.
“If I need to live it again to figure out what to do about it, I will.” You kissed him leisurely. The two of you stood in an embrace for a few moments, staring in to each other’s somnolent eyes.
Three colors you counted, smiling weakly. Anything to keep them lively.

Based off the song: Tag, You’re It by Melanie Martinez (x)
He revved the engine of his motorcycle with a grin. I revved mine as well. The parking lot was barren, the pebbles beneath us moved with the small rivers of rain water making their ways through the cracks in the cement of the parking lot.
“Mon Cherie, are you ready? I don’t know that you can handle the exponential amount of velocity this bike can process underneath these knuckles.” He held up his hand, wiggling his fingers before squeezing his hand. He firmly grasped the handles and kicked his foot stand in to place.
Without another word, he zoomed off. I followed close behind him, leaning back and forth as the turns demanded of me. As the roads beneath us pasted without our second glances, I pulled up next to him. Winking, I slowed next to him long enough to watch his smile be bitten by his teeth. I inhaled charitably, that smirk poisonous, raising my eyebrows. My wrist snapped as I gave the motorcycle underneath me some more speed.
He trailed behind me, closely, but surely. The narrow back roads didn’t allow for him to pass me by momentarily. Lucky me. I was winning. The rain hurried from the clouds, leaving us drenched. Ahead of me I saw curtains of rain drops. They were cold on my nose, but warm to my hands. As I hovered from the ground, turning left, Lex made his way around me. Splashing me with a puddle as I became straight again. I could almost hear his chuckle in my head like an ear worm.
Alongside us was an ocean covered in ripples. He slowed down to admire both it and me. I couldn’t help but giggle. He rolled his eyes with a devilish grin, cutting in front of me. I made my way around him, leading to what was only best described as leapfrog on motorcycles. Every inch he had on me was taken away. Every centimeter I had on him was taken from me. The night sky was cloudy, but the air brushing across my face was warm, those gallons of raindrops a chilly contrast. It reminded me of the fire his warm fingertips left trailing down the side of my face while his lips grazed over mine.
He came to a slow as he came to a halt. Water came up all around him. As one of his feet touched the floor, I circled him, zigzagging around the lot right off the docks. He shook his head screaming to me.
“You’re being naïve my dear. You are in-explicitly inferior to the complexity of my own authority in my province.”
My bike came to a halt in front of him, water splashing us both. “Your province? You think you ride better than me?”
“Get off the bike.” He almost demanded.
I laughed, getting off the opposite side he was standing. His fingers tapped the seat of my motorcycle as he walked around it. I walked backwards, away but around as well.
“Precisely. Yet another range to my expertise.”
“Don’t be cocky.”
“Don’t be preposterous.” His hand reached for my belt, pulling me in to him. “Shouldn’t you know wearing grab-able items is absolutely ridiculous when trying to be snarky?” His free hand tapped my nose with his fingertips. Water dripped down his face, from the tips of his hair. It stuck to his temples and cheeks.
“Snarky?” I whispered mischievously. I felt his hand grip my waist, his other trickling the side of my arm. My hands held on the the opening of his jacket. “Wise guy.” I snarled through a voice so low my words dragged like a moan.
His hand went from my arm to my cheek. Warmth prickled my skin, just as I thought and remembered it to. His lips met mine as is he had been deprived. He backed my in to my motorcycle. I rested against it, his body pressed against mine as the frivolous kissing continued. As the kiss slowed, our eyes stayed shit and he nibbled my lower lip. I felt his smile form as his mouth let go. Eyes opening simultaneously, his eyes studied mine. Droplets were caught in his lashes.
“Tag, you’re it.” He whispered.
He blinked the droplets away eccentrically stepping away quickly and quirkily. He threw a leg over his motorcycle and started the engine. Mischief written on his face, I smirked back at him. He was off in an instant, back in the direction we came. I was off chasing after him once again, biting my own lip in anticipation.

The rain surrounded you in every direction. She giggled by your side as droplets dripped from her nose. Her hair sat flat from being drenched, but you didn’t mind.
“Do we even know where we’re going?” She asked you through laughs.
“I thought so.” You looked around through scrunched eyes. It was tough to see too far ahead of you. “I had a plan before the rain got this bad.” You smiled at your beloved.
Diana ran to a puddle, stomping it with her foot. It went up to her knee and fell with defiant splash. You watch as she dances in circles, with her arms stretched out a few feet in front of you. She has the biggest smile plastered on her face. You run after her, but she always ran faster. Before you knew it, she was gone. You looked around slyly. “Alright come on.” You laughed. “I can’t run like that.” You shouted to the deserted street.
A hand caressed your hip from behind as she kissed your cheek, then your jaw. “Your hair looks nice.” She mumbled.
“Nice try.” You retorted sarcastically. “I know it’s frizzy.”
She turned you by the waist and rested her hands on your lower back. The rain runs down your faces as you both stared deeply. Your lips meet, each of you tasting the cold drops that were almost as refreshing as the entanglement itself. She swept your hair aside and kissed you just over the collarbone. Diana nibbled at your ear, and then sank into your arms. You hung your fingers on her waistband as the two of your stood close. Her head rested by yours while the two of you simply listened. You felt the hands of each other and the rain on your skin. You heard each rain drop fall to the cement and tar as if it were trying to beat itself in to the sidewalks. It was a moment of serenity, peaceful, and one of just being there together.
She buried her face in your shoulder curve, her hand holding your cheek. Her fingertips trailed your lower back. “I love you (Y/N)” she muttered, whispering only to you, into your hair. You kiss her again, as if there were no other choice. Her perfume is intoxicating, and the scenery disappears. Your head felt as if it were swimming.
Are you still here.... I miss ur lex luthor imagines
I’m so sorry ! I haven’t been active, things got crazy here where I am with school, interning, work, and theater! BUT I’m back & catching up! <3Ps. Thank you, made me smile^ I missed writing them too.
Imagine embarrassing yourself in front of lex luthor by falling into one of those indoor ponds and getting soaked, but lex helps and comforts you instead of laughing at you.
Here it is !!! [x]SO SO SO SO sorry it took so long, things have been pretty wild here, but I’m back ! <3
The place was huge. As small of a word ‘huge’ is, it was anything but. You were astonished and couldn’t help but let your eyes wonder. The bar extended for quite a while compared to the night clubs here in Metropolis. You continued to walk, rather stiffly in your dress, until reaching the main attraction. The room was filled with people. It made you nervous with anticipation of who you’d speak to first. Like any other time, when you became nervous, you noticed you were being more observant than usual, avoiding eye contact with those around you. You noted the walls were a nice colored cream, high slanted ceilings and the sparkling chandeliers. There was an indoor pond situated in the center that you thought, oddly enough, went well with the rest of the décor.
You walked over to it to sit by the edge. Playing with the water was a great distraction. The water was chilled on your fingertips. It was clear, and as your eyes scanned the design painted on the bottom, you noticed a sparkling little something or other. You couldn’t make it out, really. But, your curiosity got the best of you. Quickly and quietly, you scanned the room to be sure no one was watching you. You didn’t lock eyes with anyone, which meant quite frankly, no one was watching nor did they care. You reached out to the small shiny object, then a little more, your hand reaching across and to the bottom.
SPLASH
You were drenched and mortified. Simple as that. A hand appeared in front of you as you sat in the water. Gradually, your eyes wondered up and met the eyes of a stranger. He seemed to be smiling at you, standing outside of the pond.
“Hello!” He cleared his throat nervously. “Would you like a hand?”
You hesitated but took his hand. He helped you up and kept your hand as he helped you step out. You started dripping. Suddenly, you felt even more self-conscious.
“Are you alright?” The stranger asked.
“I suppose so.”
“Chilly?”
You forced an uneasy laugh. “A little, yeah.”
He took his suit jacket off and draped it over my shoulder. “Now stop shivering, would you?”
“I…uh, thank you.”
“Lex Luthor, my name is Lex.” He started speaking more rapidly and held his hand out to me again. I took it. His grip was strong, but his hand was soft.
“(Y/N) You almost whispered.
“Nice to meet you.” He paused, looking around. “I can’t say I’ve seen you here before.”
“You wouldn’t, I’ve never accepted an invitation. Parties make me…I don’t know.”
“Uncomfortable?”
“Sometimes.”
“So you went for a swim instead?” He cocked his head with a smile, placing his hands on his hips.
“That wasn’t on the agenda, Lex, no.” You took a seat by the edge of the pond, holding his suit jacket closed around you. For a moment his eyes narrowed, with a small smirk, as he noticed you were indeed sitting by the edge again. But, he took a seat with a small chortle.
“What are you laughing at?”
“I’m not laughing. It was merely a…chuckle.”
“What are you chuckling about?”
“Well, is this not how you started? Sitting by the edge?”
“I—“
“Didn’t know I was watching you?”
“What?”
He smiled, raising an eyebrow. He began looking in the pond. “What was it you were reaching for?” He asked.
“That…whatever it is.” You pointed, blushing.
“Hm.” His eyes locked on it and his eyebrows burrowed as he pressed his lips together. He toe-d his dress shoes off and peeled his socks off, tucking them in his shoes suitably.
“What are you doing?” You asked.
“I’m going to go get it.” He stepped foot in the pond causing his bottoms to get wet. “Should have rolled them up.” He mumbled to himself. He pushed his sleeves up to his elbows and reached in to the pond to pick up the shiny thingamabob. I watched him inspect it, and noticed people were staring.
“Lex, get out of there.” I told him. Hoping people would stop watching. He walked towards me and out, taking a seat again.
“This is my party; I’ll do what I please. It beats giving a speech.” He smiled, handing me what looked to be a small charm. “Keep it.”
I took it from his palm and inspected it. It was shaped like a small moon. “Must have fallen off of someone’s bracelet or something.” I assured him, still inspecting it. I moved it around between my fingertip, watching it shine. I felt a set of eyes on me. Lex was watching me adoringly as I watched the sparkle.
“Finder’s Keeper’s.” He whispered with a wink.
