Amos: -llooks down and starts to study a cookbook as if it would clear the nervous feeling from his belly as he waits for Lily- 19:52
Lily: Amos? *she calls, closing the portrait hole and heading into the kitchens, her eyes moving across the room in search of the Hufflepuff* 19:53
Amos: *Looks up from the cookbook, closes it and clears his throat* Y-ya, right here *peaks around the corner and smiles at the redhead* 19:54
Lily: *Smiling faintly right back at him, she chews on her lip as she makes her way around the corner, eyes moving over Amos' face before she speaks.* So... I have something I need to tell you. 19:55
Amos: *moves toward her and reaches for her hand* Are you okay? *starts to lead her to one of the stools* 19:56
Lily: Er... yes and no? I'll be fine. I just did something stupid and I'm not sure how you're going to react. *she frowns, sitting down and shifting nervously* I'm not sure if you were aware of everything that happened the last few days but... I might've snogged someone while all of that was going on. 20:00
Amos: *frowns and crosses his arms* Yes, I'm aware *blushes briefly as he thinks about his own stint with unrequited love* Who, exactly did you snog? *tries to keep his voice even and ignore any flare of jealousy* 20:01
Lily: Remus Lupin. *she confesses, guilt evident in her tone and expression as she ducks her head and frowns.* In my defense, Sirius slipped us all a love potion. So it wasn't my fault. 20:02
Amos: but why -him-? *he says more to himself than to Lily* I mean, I figured there was some sort of potion. I couldn't stop thinking about all the ways I loved Snape. *he admits shyly* 20:04
Lily: Severus? *she asks before letting out a soft laugh, hand moving up to cover her mouth as she lets a few more escape* Oh... oh, that's... I'm sorry. 20:06
Amos: *frowns and looks away* Ya....... *shrugs* I'm not going to lie and say I ain't a little bothered but... *scratches his head nervously* I know it wasn't your fault. It wasn't any of our faults. *reaches to take her hand* 20:09
Lily: So, you're not mad then? That I snogged Remus... a lot. 20:10
Amos: *holds his free hand up and shakes his head* Let's not talk about that, okay? Makes me feel sick. 20:12
Lily: I don't like him, you know. Not like that. A lot of people seem to think I do, but we're just friends. 20:15
Amos: Who -do- you like? *he asks, leaning forward* Because I like you a lot, Evans. 20:18
Lily: *She flushes, biting her bottom lip as her eyes fall to her lap.* Well, I'm particularly fond of you as well, Diggory. 20:20
Amos: *smiles, relieved* If you say you don't like Remus, then I believe you. You don't strike me as much of a liar *kisses her forehead* Though if it happens again I might have to take his balls off. 20:22
Lily: Don't worry. *she laughs, flushing even more at the kiss* I have a feeling Potter would beat you to it. 20:23
Amos: *squeezes her hand* Let's not ruin this moment with talk of Potter *stands up suddenly* OH! That reminds me, I made you something. W-would you still like it? 20:25
Lily: Amos! You have to stop making me things. I'm going to have to start reciprocating and I'm bollocks at crafts. 20:29
Amos: *laughs* I can't help it! It's what I do for people I like. Almost like a nervous tick. I want them to like me so bad I make things *reaches in to a cabinet and pulls out a boquet of flowers* They're sugar flowers, my own invention...I think. 20:32
Lily: Well, you don't have to make me things to get me to like you. *she assures him before her face lights up and she grabs the bouquet* Oh Amos, they're wonderful! Flowers I can eat. Merlin... that's genius. I honestly don't know why you don't patent these ideas and set up your own shop. 20:34
Amos: I would except my parents would probably disown me. It's the ministry for me, I'm afraid *sighs* Anyways....steady...*shakes his head, he was already stammering* I just.... *can feel his face flushing* Ilikeyoualotlilyandwasthinkingmaybeyoudwannagosteadywithme? *breathes a sigh of relief* So long as you stay away from Lupin. Amos: *swallows and blinks for a moment* Lily *moves over to her and sits across from her* Lily....I like you a lot *he says, trying to keep his words slow* And, I just, I thought maybe you'd want to go steady with me. *chews his cheek nervously* 20:41
Lily: *Cheeks brightening considerably, she looks at Amos for a long time before nodding, her lips breaking out into a wide smile* Of course. I'd love to. 20:44
Amos: *he laughs and embraces Lily in a hug before pulling back and blushing slightly* I don't know why I just hugged you. I think the proper response would have been a kiss. *leans in and places a careful kiss to her mouth* 20:46
Lily: *Gasping a bit at the kiss, she reaches up hesitantly to cup the side of Amos' face before pulling back a bit* That was a lot better than the one in Hogsmeade. *she says with a soft laugh* Sorry about that, by the way. I kind of bombarded you with it. 20:49
Amos: Don't you dare apologize for that, my robe was a little tight after that if you....*stops mid sentence* Merlin, I'm sorry....*looks down* I'm just nervous and happy all at once. *grins and kisses her again* Sorry, I just...I want to keep doing that over and over again. 20:51
Lily: *She pauses, eyes widening before she clears her throat and looks away* Well erm... I'll do my best to keep from doing that again. *she says before she feels his lips on hers again, prompting her eyes to close as she leans into him with a hum.* I... alright. 20:54
Amos: *chuckles slightly and tries to keep his blush under control* Sorry, I can get a bit over excited sometimes 20:57
Lily: No, no... you're perfectly fine. I'm just not used to this much attention. 20:59
Amos: Why on earth not? *shakes his head* I thought you would get loads of attention 21:03
Lily: Only with people I don't want it from. 21:04
Amos: I hope you like my attention, because I intend on giving you as much as possible. Hope that's alright, love 21:06
Lily: You won't hear me complaining. 21:14
Amos: *grins and sits back* Would you like to try one of my flowers/ I honestly have no idea how they'll taste, though, so I'm sorry ahead of time if they're bloody awful 21:17
Lily: I hope it's not poisoned. *she laughs before grabbing one and biting off the tip before smiling* It's delicious. Try one. 21:20
Amos: I don't sneak things into my treats *gives her a crooked smile and reaches for a piece of the flower* I was hoping you'd offer *breaks a piece off and puts it in his mouth, nods* You're right, they are *laughs, delighted* I was nervous for a second. 21:22
Lily: Well, you shouldn't be. Everything you've made for me is delicious. 21:24
Amos: *shrugs* You sure you aren't just saying that because you like me? *moves to steal another kiss* Sorry, I'm feeling shameless tonight. 21:28
Lily: Maybe partially... but they really are brilliant. *she says, biting back a smile* I should really get back to studying though. Want to walk me back to the tower? 21:29
Amos: *Grins* I'd love to *stands and hols his arm out for her* 21:32
Lily: *She stands up as well, taking his arm and holding the bouquet with the other as she heads out of the kitchens*
-his face falls- But look...look at the work I did! -points out the slytherin symbol he had worked in to the scarf- It's going to be getting cold soon and I can't bear the thought of you freezing.
