Ætherspouts:

Ætherspouts is a blue mass removal spell. Sometimes one may only hit 1 creature, while at other times, one may hit 10 or more creatures. If you use Etherspouts early enough in a game, one's opponent must choose to either reobtain the card(s) or to be able to draw lands. Etherspouts is easy on the mana compared to other blue cards like it. It is also easy on the wallet, too.

Pox

When one is in the mood for some extra fun in the game of magic the gathering, he or she should use the Pox card. This card takes a third of just about everything and destroys it, including cards in hand, creatures, life, and land. But, player beware! One will likely become the bane of his or her local commander game!

Wicked Pact, Ashes to Ashes & Reckless Spite

There are various great ways to destroy two threats on the board. When one destroys multiple threats, there could be a shift in the balance of the playing field. The cards Wicked Pact and Ashes to Ashes are useful for just such a task. Although each of the previously listed cards take 5 life from the person playing them, one will not be significantly affected in commander. 

If one is looking to use an instant card to destroy multiple threats, one should use Reckless Spite.

Energy Flux

When one is going up against a pesky artifact deck, he or she should use energy flux to tap down his or her opponent’s mana. Because energy flux runs at 30-60 cents a card, it won’t break one’s bank.
