“Welcome back, Agents.”
kaitoslegs answered: I’D DRESS WUFEI AS WONDERWOMAN
And here we have our own Agent Chang modeling the new Preventers' Uniforms. I worked with leaders in both the militant and civilian sectors to come up with this new image to instill hope that justice will protect the people.
I think we can all agree that the refitting of our Agents will be a success.
WHERE IS THE COMMANDER? WE MISS THE COMMANDER! BRING BACK OUR COMMANDER! that sounded pushy. Please?
[o.O nonny lovvvveeee *squeezes you* since you asked nicely...]
Congratulations! You receive the amazing roleplayer sticker! ~sticks it on your forehead~ Now, take this bundle of 5 and share it with blogs you feel deserve it!
[ ^///^ fun stuff in my ask box!!! Why didn't I check sooner... poor neglected Une and Po and Meiran... my ladieeessss]
Hello beautiful person! Once you get this, you must share five random facts about yourself and then pass it on to ten of your favourite followers. ^_^
[*dusts off old blogs* Sorry Cuppa!]
*looking up with some agitation at being disrupted*
Beautiful? Flattery will get you.. well, quite far. *smiles* I guess I can humor you.
Random..
*counts off on long-nailed fingers*
I detest the default noise an alarm clock makes.
I’m rather good with watercolors.
During my time with Treize I became, amongst other things, a master horticulturist and aromatherapist.
I can’t sleep in dead silence.
And I once tried to get MTCS’s (Mini Cargo-Transport Shuttles) outlawed because I hate the boxy, geriatric disasters and their pilots.
*sneezes*
Something is amiss...
It's 6am. I am sitting at my desk, and yet there isn't a cup of coffee in my hand...
*eye twitch*
Some meditative thinking had done Duo's mind worlds of good. He knows what's true now as well as what was just war-bias. This truth at first settled grief and guilt on Duo's chest before it settles into a powerful resolve. A resolve to apologize. And people apologize with gifts, right? So thus Duo had hunted long and hard, looking far and wide to find the perfect gift. It'd taken a few months, but he'd finally done it. He placed a bag on the Commander's desk with a note attached.
"Commander Une:
Guess I should apologize for being a royal douche canoe for the past five years. I realize you're not a royal bitch and actually are pretty damned cool. So, I got you something to apologize.
Hugs and kisses,
Duo <3"
A sardonic smile spreads across Une's face as she pulls the plate from the bag. Shaking her head once, she places it on her desk, a light laughter escaping as she sticks her official plate in a drawer.
Her phone begins its daily ritual of blowing off the hook and she glides around to take her seat. Kicking her pumps off, she crosses her ankles on the corner of her desk and laughs again before hitting the intercom, "Meiran, send in my first appointment."
"Welcome back, Agents."
...
Une’s hands slide from Treize’s shoulders, down his arms, and she takes up both his hands in hers, smiling brightly. “Welcome back.” she answers quietly.
Treize idly smooths Lady Une’s jacket for her once she settles back into her shoes (something he hadn’t grasped that she’d come out of and now finds endearing) and turns his attention to the little assistant with interest. She very distinctly reminds him of Wufei in the brief moment before Treize chides himself for racism. Rude! He returns his attention to Lady Une with the softest of smiles.
“Thank you, my dear Lady,” Treize replies with a gentle squeeze to her hands. “I’ve been waiting so long to finally see you, but I’ve been continually thwarted by the gentleman who answers your phones. He’s been quite persistent in preventing our reunion. I wasn’t going to allow that today, though. It’s all worked out, though, for here you are!” He beams down at the beautiful woman in his arms with a soft sigh. “Dearest Une…”
Une's smile falters briefly as she makes a mental note to follow up on her message to Agent Chang. When Meiran had caught on to the male secretary's abysmal deception, she'd come straight into Une's meeting to personally relay the message of Treize's return to the living world and the fact that he was waiting just downstairs. In her mad dash through the corridors, Une had called Chang and told him to 'escort' the secretary from the premises by any means necessary, being thorough to strip him of all credentials in the process. He'd given a satisfied snort and hung up.
"And here you’ve been forced to wait again.. I’m so sorry, Treize, I didn’t know.. But that’s dealt with..” She turns them both towards the nearest exit. Her small hand still grasps his larger one, reaching her other hand to rest at his elbow as she guides him out onto the nearest terrace. Like most manicured areas outside the facility, it is an orderly collection of plants and stone that wind a walkway towards secluded seated areas, this one with a modest gazebo. Une checks over her shoulder and notes the security detail discretely surrounding them, ensuring their privacy, and she grins once she spots Agent Chang taking point.
Turning back to Treize, she takes a deep breath and dares to twist a lock of his hair from his forehead, "I.. I don't understand, but however this happened I... Treize, are you really alright?" she asks almost breathlessly, reverently.
Commander Une: It has come to my attention that a certain pregnant male agent intends to remain active until the time he goes into labor. This could result in a series of fiascoes within the agency and I hope you feel it important to take action to correct this. 01 can be quite volatile.
The Commander reads the anonymous memo with a twisted look of confusion on her face, scowling darkly as she finishes. She set’s the paper aside and looks across her office towards the double doors that are cracked open. “MEIRAN!” she shouts, hoping her assistant is out there at her post, “For CRISSAKES, I KNOW Maxwell can be a sneaky bastard, but could you PLEASE keep him from leaving prank notes in my Notifications?”
Hilde clips her visitor's badge to the front of her shirt, eyes wide as she takes in massive lower level of Preventer Headquarters. She starts to walk toward the direction of the elevators when she catches a familiar figure standing in her path with a faint hint of amusement glittering in her eyes. Hilde can't hide a grin. "Une."
"Ms. Schbeiker," Une answers, eying the visitor's badge, "Welcome to my humble abode." she accompanies this with a sweeping gesturing to the massive complex as they continue walking to the elevators. "Can I help you find someone or have you come to sign your soul over to me?"
When he speaks her name in that soft, patient cadence, Une feels a shot to her chest that leaves her breathless, clenching her eyes so tight that moisture brims along her lashes and trails down her face. Her fingers curl into the pressed fabric of his shirt and she lets out a tiny, near-undetectable sob. Years she’d longed to hear that sound, that voice calling to her, and she’d never been able to accept its loss.
“…Trieze, forgive me,” she speaks in a whisper, hoarse with emotion. “I almost.. when I promised you I wouldn’t.. oh god, but I made the promise to follow you always first…” She’s rambling, clutching him tight, shaking her head as she tries to compile her words in some semblance of order. After a moment she stills, bringing a hand to the back of his neck and whispering so quietly, “I came so close to following you.”
The feel of his dear Lady clutching at him awakens the lion that’d slept in Treize’s heart since his ‘death’. His arms tighten around her protectively and hold her to his regenerated form. She’s gotten stronger in more ways than one, it seems. He briefly wonders if she’s mastered her condition before he realizes that it doesn’t matter. His Une is back where she’s belonged since the day they’d met. Her confession, though, has him in mild panic.
“Dearest Une, I am immensely glad you survived!” Treize quietly chides. “Were you to die, this world would be in the most dire of straights. Look at where you are now, dear lady! You head a beautiful organization for an elegant cause. I couldn’t approve more of everything you’re doing.” He places a tender kiss on her forehead. “My Une, I’m home.”
Une exhales sharply, filled with an all-encompassing, forceful relief that she'd not felt before. Even when His Excellency would forgive her her mistakes in the past she never felt gratitude this powerfully before. Since his death she had been striving to do as he would have her do, frequently feeling lost without him, though her performance was anything but hesitant. Now, his praise smoothed over all her anxieties, dusted them away and lifted her to a point of self-acceptance that she'd been unable to obtain on her own, no matter how proud she was of her organization.
She finally pulls back, settling into her pumps that had slipped off her heels, but keeps her hands on his broad shoulders, drinking in the sight of him and tearing up again. He looked the same as always, meticulously tailored and devastatingly handsome, slightly roguish in his charming mannerisms, but now with a soft concern as he looks down upon his Lady. She turns her head slightly to the side, but does not look away from his eyes, "Take care of things here." she instructs, and a small asian girl who had been standing by bows curtly, then rushes off and begins herding the gawkers back to their boardroom.
Une's hands slide from Treize's shoulders, down his arms, and she takes up both his hands in hers, smiling brightly. "Welcome back." she answers quietly.
Two large double-doors behind Treize burst open, there is a short pause, and then before he can fully turn around the Commanding Officer of Preventers Headquarters is launching herself against his hard chest, knocking the air from him as her arms are thrown over his broad shoulders. He can see over her slight shoulder, a crowd of confused board members who had followed her, carrying papers and looking as though she’d left in the middle of something quite important. The men watch the startling display and then turn to each other awkwardly.
Une is still holding on to him, on her toes in her black pumps, the jacket of her pencil-skirt suit riding high and disheveled from rushing through the halls, and there is a slight tremble to her. “Treize!” she breathes out.
Treize gasps as the air is knocked from his lungs with the force behind the impact. His arms automatically go around the body that shakes as it holds him, starting to soothingly rub the lower half. The mess of brown hair under his chin tells him who it is even before he hears the voice he’s been waiting so long to hear. The voice that’s capable of commanding an entire army without hesitation, ordering men to die for whatever cause she believes in, which always was whatever cause he believed in. This can only be one woman.
“Lady Une,” Treize sighs against the top of her head, tightening his arms in a true hug. His wretched mood long forgotten, Treize knows only the joy of seeing one of his two oldest surviving friends. “My dear Lady, I have waited so long to see you again. I’ve missed you so very terribly. I’m deeply sorry for making you wait.” Treize’s frustration at the secretary continually giving him the run-around is gone and he’s left with just the jubilation of seeing this proud woman again.
Years she'd longed to hear that sound, that voice calling to her, and she'd never been able to accept its loss.
"...Trieze, forgive me," she speaks in a whisper, hoarse with emotion. "I almost.. when I promised you I wouldn't.. oh god, but I made the promise to follow you always first..." She's rambling, clutching him tight, shaking her head as she tries to compile her words in some semblance of order. After a moment she stills, bringing a hand to the back of his neck and whispering so quietly, "I came so close to following you."
(I'm finding this MUCH more amusing than I probably should...)
