Fits the exact vibe of the scene that goes with it:

The barkeep told him that she dropped by The Lopsided Barge about once a month; always in the dead of night. A quiet woman in spectacles who favored the exact table Treize occupied. When Treize asked for a more elaborate description, the barkeep did him one better; sketching her likeness on the back of a receipt.

It's difficult for him to reconcile the awkward girl he met in Hale with the mysterious Nonestican sorceress who consorts with shadows and demons.

Allegedly.

Still, there's no mistaking that the face in the sketch matches the image burned into the back of his mind for the better part of the year.

Une's clutching that clipboard and clenching her fist like "omfg make up your mind it's already dark out" 😭 If we're going off the Kamishiro timeline, I can see this being another bedroom wine cart situation. Girl, you're not there late for work reasons. 🫠

Sat through a playthrough of Crossrays to get the tea on how my ship did in that timeline. As always, not great. 🫩 However, I do have the option of just losing the final battle so this is the timeline you could feasibly have Treize survive by giving yourself a "game over." Updated my table with new info.

*Some random OZ soldiers kill Septem in the Tokita manga

**Treize puts a single rose in Une's hand. Her hand twitches holding it when he turns to leave

***Heero kills Relena's father and Septem in GoL

Une's beam cannon intervention and Treize's death are the only two events consistent between them in every timeline.

Rambling about Crossrays under the cut

I would say Crossrays is the timeline where Treize and Une have the most distance from each other but it cuts A LOT for everyone in canon so I don't take that as an indictment for my ship. 🤷‍♀️ Could be argued that the bouquet scene still happened since Treize wonders if Une would laugh at him during his speech, just like in Episode 42. However, it wasn't explicitly depicted so I noted it that way. I'm not gonna lie to people for fanon. 😂

Une has the rose Relena shoots off her so we know that scene from Episode 11 must have happened. Again, not explicitly depicted. I suppose if you're biased against the ship, it's possible Une pinned it on herself but that feels out of character for her.

Psychic link beam cannon scene is consistent in this fifth timeline though. 😌 Really staying undefeated on that particular aspect. If the new anime project is a sixth timeline, I'm sure they'll continue this trend.

When it comes to ranking how close they are in each timeline, I'd go with:

1. Tokita manga (they lived together at one point in this one; no split or coma and Treize pushes Une around in a wheelchair while she's wearing a robe)

2. Kamishiro novels (absolutely unhinged, Treize tries to get Une to have a drink with him in his bedroom and she says no, straight up plainly states he loves her in the text)

3. Anime

4. GoL/FT (Une has no split in this one and her prequel chapters basically have her walking all over Treize 🤷‍♀️ )

5. Crossrays (The video game format kind of limits what can be depicted on screen so a lot of things are only implied)

I love how the Glory of the Losers manga (Volumes 6-7) has Une as just a really good actress instead of suffering a mental split because it's way more relatable. Like yes girl, turn that customer service voice on and then shut it the fuck down. 😌 Nothing crazy, just working. Everyone knows what it's like to switch from "professional" to "bitch" as soon as you're out of office. ✊😔
