MacCready was nursing his single and only beer with the grim finality of a man who knew he didn’t have the caps to spare for another. It had long lost the slight chill of the underground club, warm as his hand that held it wishing he could pony up for another.

He was going to have to cast his net a little wider, risk leaving Goodneighbor to maybe hire up as a caravan guard until something better came along.

He downed the rest of his beer with a grimace. There was a prospect he wasn’t looking forward to. He was way too sober to face the reality of things.

“Hey, Charlie, one more on my tab?”

“Your credit ain’t lookin’ too good, and Hancock’s been more than generous already, mate.”

The tone, MacCready thought, was unnecessary. And how did a robot manage a tone anyways?

Love (and Chemical Bullshittery) are in the Air- okay well there is some mac/f!sole but its a good PWP that's a good excuse for some Hallucigen orgy ahahah

AAAAND one I cannot tell you how many times I have read: Contact. 39 chapters, mostly mac/f!sole for like 35 of those chapters, and then we get some adjacent Deacon fun xD It's just excellent and a huge comfort fic for me. "MacCready's done a lot of things for caps, but this has got to be the weirdest job he's ever had. -OR- The one where the sole survivor wants more for her money than just a hired gun." If you enjoy a good touch-starved trope, this dials that up to 11. If f!sole can't be in physical contact with someone, she'll get weak and die. I really don't wanna give too much away it's just so damn creative and original and I always come back to it. Easy fast favorite and i LOVE the characterizations :D

...aaaaand I'm gonna toot my own horn here and also plug my own archive list here with my own work LOLOL I think by the time I starting writing fic, I was brought over to the ot3 but I've got some Mac/f!sole solo haha :D
