Profile: @geometrix Why are you a Rooster Teeth fan? “Am I supposed to be able to fill this out in a tiny box? Rooster Teeth is a little bit like space time. You can watch the videos, you can listen to the podcasts, whatever. And even just as that, it's beautiful and amazing and hilarious and there's always something there for you. But then there's all these hidden dimensions to it that you don't really fully get if you just glance at it. The community events, the incredible cosplayers, the emotional attachments to their shows not because they are Rooster Teeth, but because they're amazing. The relationship and interactions with the staff. It's a bubble which surrounds you in it's multidimensional web. I study physics bc that's what fascinates me about the universe. I watch rooster teeth because that's what makes it so amazing.” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “Get my bachelor's and master's at one of the greatest universities in the world. Do a lot of political work and hopefully get enough experience to go into politics if that's what I decide to do. Continue to be creative.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “I trust my intuition immensely and tend to ignore emotions. I think analytically, and despite being incredibly outgoing and social, I technically am classed as an introvert.”

Profile: @rachyrock Why are you a Rooster Teeth fan? “Overall? Good quality entertainment. Only over the past few months have I gotten into the community, and I've loved it ever since.” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “It's a selfish goal - I'd like to travel overseas again, to either the British isles or continental Europe. It's been 4 years now since I was last over that way.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “I'm actually really shy in person and am excited yet nervous to meet everyone at RTX.”

Profile: @sunyshore Why are you a Rooster Teeth fan? “RT gave me hope when I didn't think I could hold on any longer, and since then the company has helped to shape me into who I am and give me a sense of what I want to do with my life.” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “After moving out on my own, I just want to see where life takes me. This will be the first time I really get to focus on myself and my own goals.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “Even though I look calm, 90% of the time I'm screaming internally about one thing or another.​”​

I know that any video they produce will make me laugh!” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “I hope to graduate from the University of Florida with my Ph.D. in materials science and start a family with my beautiful wife.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “I am an avid ultimate frisbee player.”​

Their dedication to their fans is incredible and is reflected by the amazing and wonderful RT Community.” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “In the next five years I want to continue my education both through school and personal enrichment, learning skills relevant to my interests so that I can ultimately decide on a career path.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “I'm genderfluid, which means my gender identity changes frequently, so some days I identify closer to a boy, some days closer to a girl, some days neither, some days both.”

Profile: @NinjaSpectre Why are you a Rooster Teeth fan? “RvB has brought me so much joy ever since the release of the first episode. Also, the community it has brought together through their website has given me wonderful friends that have helped me change for the better.” What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? “I hope to be done with college. Afterwards, I hope to be settling down in a more stable job, while maintaining my hobbies, gaming and RT.” What is one thing we don't know about you? “I have an extremely talented and intelligent twin sister, who is also a huge fan of RT. ”

I have been crazy busy the past few months with RTX photos, work, and life so I wasn't able to get to editing the portraits, but I am back. First off, thank you to everyone who participated this year. It was awesome to meet you and get to know you even if it was for a bit. I definitely learned some things that I will use to improve for next year. If you couldn't make it, I understand. It was during RTX so obviously y'all had packed schedules. I am continuing this next RTX so if you want to drop by then by all means, do so. So, whats the plan? I will be posting images twice a month on here and on the RT group page. I will also be uploading the images to a google drive in which I will give the participants access to (because quality). I mentioned this to everyone before the session, but if I missed you I am planning to get the images printed into a little book in which I will hand out to you next RTX, or if you can't make it do my best to mail it to you. (Editing style will vary, as I am/will be experimenting) Now, let's get started shall we? First up, Derek. Profile: DrHairz Why are you a Rooster Teeth fan? "I love the content and the people who are apart of it. Both staff and community." What do you hope to accomplish within the next 5 years? "I hope to grow into a better person. I wanna find a way to make people happy and to leave something behind that people will remember me by in a good way." What is one thing we don't know about you? "I opened up for Panic! At the Disco!"

RTCP Slight Scheduling Problem

Hey buds! Due to the site migration and my inability to hit the save button on excel, I've forgotten what days a few people were assigned to. A round of applause for me. At this point, however, I've found that it would be a lot easier for all of us if I designate a shooting time and let you all drop in whenever you're free. So this is the plan: When: August 5th and August 10th Time: 10:00am-12:00pm Where: Meet at Hilton Austin Lobby (across the street from the convention center) Simple, yes? I won't be hard to spot, just look for the guy with the silver hair and camera gear XD. I would like to get the portraits done within the assigned time block, so please do your best to be punctual. If for some unexpected reason you think you might be a few minutes late, message me and let me know ahead of time and I'll wait :). For those who can't make the days, again, let me know, give me your twitter handles, and I will mention/message you on twitter before I take my break over RTX weekend. If you happen to be free at that time, we can meet up somewhere and get the shot done. Again, this is open to everyone. If you happen to have friends who would like to participate go ahead and bring them along. First of all thank you to everyone who agreed to be apart of the project. I didn't expect a mob to participate but the number I got is pretty great. At the moment I will have enough to release one biweekly until next RTX! I am crazy excited! If you answered the survey/questionnaire, I emailed everyone confirmations to the included email addresses, check your junk folders just in case. Lets get into more details in regards to the shoot itself. • Final image will be in a square format • Styling will depend on you and how you want to use the image (professional, personal, etc.) You have free reigns on how you want to dress and the overall mood (it can be a serious portrait or straight up caboose-like.) • Shooting will be done in groups to give a chance for community members to meet each other and chat with one another while I do my thing (if you have problems with anxiety or feel you won't be comfortable, message me and I'll make arrangements.) As a result, shoot time will depend on the group's availability, however, I am hoping to do late morning shoots (9am-11am) on the 4th and 5th so people will have time to do whatever they want after and a noon shoot on the 10th since people may be out late the night before. If anyone has any time suggestions or preferences message me or leave a comment. • To answer a question I saw frequently (not really lol) I will not be selecting people. Community Portraits

What is Rooster Teeth Community Portraits (RTCP)? Well, I’m glad you asked (or didn’t ask, that’s fine with me). Essentially it’s a project that will feature any and all willing members of the community. It will consist of a portrait of the individual with basic information (name and site handle) and a few quotes (questions soon to be determined). Think of it as a cross between a yearbook photo and Humans of New York. I aim to produce high quality, professional images; meaning, no photo will be uploaded straight from the camera without getting a detailed finish. These sets will then be uploaded to the GROUP PAGE, as well as, here, and sometime in the future something secret that I think will be pretty awesome. No, I take that back, go in with low expectations. Yeah, that will do. I don’t want to disappoint anyone lel.

What is the purpose of this project? Another wonderful question! You are on a roll! Two reasons: the community and myself. With an exception to a few photo opportunities, and I mean few, I have not been able to go out and shoot as much as I have wanted to. With this project, I want to explore, practice, and build on my craft while getting involved with the community just a tad bit more. This will also give me an opportunity to work on my confidence and social skills. I hope to use RTCP to introduce community members to one another through similar goals and interests, somewhat breaking the ice and starting conversations. I want the community to know that no matter who they are, there are others in similar situations and points in their lives, and that as a community we are all connected.

Because this project requires face-to-face interaction, geography is a tremendous obstacle. Unless something comes up otherwise, RTCP will be scheduled for RTX 2015! Setting up the shooting schedule will be difficult not only because it will occur during the event, but also because I am a Guardian this year, but fret not! I will be in Austin between August 4th and 11th. That means I will be available on the 4th, 5th, and 10th (and possibly the 6th as soon as I find out additional guardianship details). Portraits can be done anywhere (hotel lobby/room, outdoors, on 6th Street, ANYWHERE…well, not anywhere, but you get the point). We can meet up, get the shot done and then hang out if you want, or you can just be on your way, whatever works for you.. So if you are interested in being apart of all this awesomeness, feel free to contact me or follow this LINK and fill in the information.
