"Who're you dressed up as?" Jeremy asked Jaqueline, who had just come in. She wore a blue scarf around her neck, an almost regal coat, and a pair of pants and boots to match. "Emily." She answered in a rather thick French accent. "Like my mum? Well, my redhead mum?" Jeremy said, which received a somewhat humored "No, Emily Kaldwin. Yoshio may know, his father used to be a speedrunner in the game she's from. In fact, he is the reason I know of it."
Eyes turned to Yoshio, who turned away from Lara and looked at the newcomer's costume. "Nicely done! Even your weapon matches hers!" He said, gesturing for Jaqueline to take a seat with them. After doing so, Lara asked a question that she'd been thinking about since the sniper walked through the door:
"How did you get your hair to work with you like that?"
"I am not entirely sure, but I'm surprised that it hasn't broken out off all the pins already. Though I won't question it." Jaqueline replied, earning a laugh from the only other person who knew the struggles of curly hair. "I wouldn't either, Jackie. This stuff defies physics. It knows no master."
The night continued on, Jaqueline and Yoshio sharing stories regarding their fathers, Jeremy making wagers with the sniper, Yoshio and Lara slowly starting to sleep against each other's shoulders, and Andy just trying to enjoy the spirit of the holiday with Jeremy.
