You must think im too naive to know any better To realize that all you are is fake and a pretender But youre stupid, and wrong to think you could make me smile any day When you were talking shit about me yesterday And yes, you may be right saying what you said But youre a fool to think id let you get away I wont call you a bitch like you so eloquently called me I wont change and bow down to your scrutiny You are a coward, saying shit behind my back, Too scared to go with an up and front attack I wanted to believe you were a good person That you werent a copy of someone else, but a worse version I wanted to hope that there was some good in you But that hope, and that maybe, lost its value Everyones true colors show eventually Now i stand tall like a skyscraper Im not going to let negativity drown me out into the crowd So take one good look and i dare you to try and push me down again

Sometimes we feel like silence is the answer. We tell each other not to say anything because we don't want to make things worse when in fact silence is exactly why we hurt. We need clarity in order to have peace. No matter how dumb something may seem, you should always speak your voice. Don't let your voice get lost in the crowd. Id rather be hurt by the truth than comforted by a lie.

I feel like some people have goal to hurt other people. To take advantage of a nice person on a sunny day. And pour down upon them on a rainy day. Sometimes life gets rough, but that shouldn't be a reason to give up. Let go of negative things. Hold on to the positive.
