Man, post-mortem Aaron is so sad. Even without his family history, the way he couldn't get traction because he couldn't find people to work with fits so well with the themes of the season.

I briefly thought maybe Cody was his ally, but no, even the dude who's completely chill with vampires with orders to kill him was happy to be rid of the local monster hunter.

Aaron didn't consider power structures or politics; he just looked for signs of individual monsters and followed them. And he wasn't exactly wrong, but if he'd bothered looking at the forest as a whole instead of just the trees, he might have seen the monsters that made Purpee such a supernatural hotspot in the first place were nothing but greedy-ass humans.

He'll probably be fascinated with the furniture/architecture of the backrooms and start selling the items there for money + notoriety. imagine youre maya jayashtri. you've had a long day and there's 7 minutes left til the store closes, when two middle aged gentlemen, carrying a basil plant and a single sweet potato and who are obviously in a fight make small talk at your register. they say they're new in town, that they bought your partner's childhood home from the shitty company that stole it from her.

you finish up your work and meet them outside. you insinuate that they're a couple and one of them starts screaming at you to watch your mouth. you apologize and they snort a line of coke from the handlebar of their broken electric scooter.

they tell you they want to improve this town and they have nine (9) buses. you have to see it to believe it so you follow them home.

you get there and see that they do in fact have nine buses, as well as an additional four roommates. you ask what their relationship is and they reply "dual male income household" and "San Fransisco," as if that means anything.

they invite you to hang out sometime but tell you that they have just moved and have no furniture, but you can meet them at the bar they somehow already co-own. before you leave, one of them runs at a superhuman speed and tears off the height chart from the wall of your partner's childhood home.

on this picture i drew Alexandr Andreevich Alexandrov - cavalry officer of the russian imperial army that participated in napoleonic wars. people persistently keep on misgendering mispronounsing deadnaming and calling him a crossdresser although alexandrov clearly stated that he didn't want to be called by his deadname and being treated like anything but a man. that's an interesting historical figure and i wanted to draw attention to his person. i can't tell everything about him in only one post so i recomend you to read about alexandrov by yourself
