an unfinished attempt at working out a design for runin from r.f. kuang’s poppy war trilogy. i spent a lot of time researching the ethnic groups of taiwan and china to find references for all the main characters but never got around to drawing anything else

i did a matching pair of rhaenicent portraits for a friend’s 2024 christmas present, but i wasn’t happy with how alicent came out so enjoy this solo rhaenyra
