A Method That Is So Easy You'll Be Playing In 24 Hours
I don't mean you'll wake up tomorrow and know how to play. What I do mean is that if you practice everyday for at least thirty minutes, you'll be amazed at how good you sound at the end of the 48 days (24 hours ÷ 30 minutes = 48 days). If you practice one hour a day you'll finish the method in 24 days. But knowing what to practice and how is the key.
I've put together a method designed specifically for the absolute beginner. With this guitar system called "Guitar — How To Get Started — 5-Easy-Guitar -Lessons" you'll learn to play quickly and easily.
This method, "5-Easy-Guitar-Lessons" is so focused that you'll eliminate wasted time learning unnecessary chords that a beginner doesn't need to know (you'll learn those chords later). You'll learn how to strum by hearing the attached MP3 files. You'll hear how each chord will sound when played properly.
Here's A Summary Of The Benefits You Receive.
No experience is required
This method is for the out-and-out beginner. It begins with the assumption that you know nothing about a guitar except what they look like.
Acoustic or the electric guitar
Some books try to imply that there is a difference between the acoustic and the electric. The instruments look different but the basics are the same.
The 15 "Must-Know" chords
Every guitar player, regardless of the music style, must know these chords. Rock, country, classical, world or jazz. Everyone. These are the same chords that are in the pamphlet however the difference is, you'll learn these chords beginning with the easiest ones first.
5 different ways to strum the guitar with links to MP3 files
Strumming patterns are crucial. This starts with the basics. five real-world patterns that are used by experienced players and pros all the time. But you can't learn them by reading a book. You have to hear them to know what they sound like when you are playing them right.
Special help with the F-chord
This chord is tough for everyone. Truthfully, I almost quit over this chord. The good news is that every student that has learned the "trick" masters it in only a couple of weeks. I struggled for three months. You won't have too.
How to get your guitar in tune
Tuning is a learned thing. I highly recommend an electronic guitar tuner (they start at around $20.00). This book gives you tips on how to use your tuner as well as other ways to get your guitar in tune.
Understanding guitar TAB (short for tablature)
Music stores and the Internet have guitar TAB books and websites with a wealth of information. TAB is a system that tells you where to put your fingers when you want to learn some guitar riffs or leads. 5-Easy-Guitar-Lessons gives you the basic understanding for that system.
Power Chords
Power chords have been used in Rock music since the 50's. Now they're found in all styles of popular music. They're easy to play but most people don't realize that there are a few ways to play them. This book shows you the three ways.
Learn about counting and keeping time
All musicians and bands count time. Infact, when musicians are playing together and when each player's counting is 100% in sync with the other players, the music or band is referred to as being tight.
Be completely confident that you are doing it right
The book has detailed explanations on where to place your fingers and then you can link to the audio MP3's to confirm that everything sounds great.
Now you're probably wondering how and why we do all those things.
Let me explain
Since I am a sales consultant for a music store chain and because I have my own private students, I come into contact virtually everyday with people who either want to learn to play the guitar or who are in the process of learning to play.
One of the things I really enjoy doing in the music store happens when someone comes in and inquires about buying a guitar either for themselves or for their child. I'll ask the person who wants to learn if they would like me to show them a few chords. Invariably they say yes. I then place their fingers on three or four chords and get them to strum to show them that they can play. I show them where to put their thumb and how to hold the guitar.
When they purchase the guitar, I give them a brochure (Pamphlet 2) with the 15 "must know" chords. Many of them opt to go ahead and purchase the 5-Easy-Guitar_Lessons book/CD which is sold at the store (and others).
I see them frequently after the sale when they come back into the store for strings and picks, etc. They go on to tell me how easy it was to go through the book. Now they've gone on to learn even more through private lessons or from their friends or from TABs.
The point is, nobody has ever said that this book is intimidating. In fact, just the opposite, they look at the book and smile because it looks easy. And it is.
This is the whole point of the book. You don't have to learn how to read music or TAB or anything. Just look at the diagrams, photos (there are two photos for each chord), follow the directions which basically say, "put your second finger just behind the 2nd fret on the 1st string, " etc. Then listen to the audio.
Also, I want you to feel good and confident so I don't ignore the little things like explaining that "am" is said to be "A minor."
