i mean it depends on your definition of the word but not really. i’ve tried to beat around the bush and say “kinda” but really, i’m not.

Currently, my views align well with other left-wing jews in supporting J Street, ending the occupation, and I believe that Jews will never be free until the Palestinians are as well.

The zionist movement and the bait-and-switch that came with the Balfour Declaration’s problems aren’t lost on my by ANY means. I’ve been-to the west bank, the golan heights, and to tel aviv. i know what it’s like there and I know that anything short of a two-state solution would be catastrophic, especially knowing that it would end up as an apartheid state with a second-class Palestinian population. (it already is similar to that in the occupied areas) Those of us who consider the US to be the bastion of protection for human rights that we strive to be can’t accept that. A two state solution is the only solution. The fuzzy question on it remains Jerusalem, more than anything else.

I have a MASSIVE personal conflict of interest on the issue, and yet I fall the furthest left of my entire family on it. My heritage includes the first Hebrew-language newspaper, and my family is intrinsically tied to the zionist founding of Israel.

What I’m getting at is that the complexity isn’t lost on me. I intend to study the issue in college, but even still I’m not sure I could say that I reasonably expect to see a solution in my lifetime. 99% of the time I reject the “both sides” approach, but in this case, I really find it too complicated to show a side without fault here.

Questioning ur gender as an afab person is hard bc ur like do I genuinely identify as Not A Woman or do I just not identify with the negative images of women that have been shoved at me since I was born? Like do I not like being referred to as a girl because that really isn’t who I am or is it because being connected to femininity comes along with some not great associations? And then there’s the question of am I really Not a Woman or am I just butch/futch? And then u get into questioning what gender even is to begin with. What is gender? What is masculinity?
