[MHYK] city of affluence location guide
hello! i made this guide because i couldn't find any other guides in english about this location. the gimmick is pretty fun to use, but it’s quite detailed(?) in terms of how the mechanics work. i’ve gone in depth to explain it, so please enjoy the gimmick well~
[i’m not fluent in japanese!! my rough translations of some of the texts may not be extremely accurate, but i hope i’ve managed to get the main point of it across.]

how the tea party gimmick works

when you first start, there will be a button which says “ お茶会 “ [tea party] with a bar on the top. successful training interactions will raise the percentage of the bar by 15%, while unsuccessful ones will lower the percentage by 10%. in order to hold a tea party and use the gimmick, the bar must be at 100%! resting will not affect the percentage. pressing on the button will lead to a menu where you can choose different teas and sweets to serve at your party.

there’s quite a lot of information to cover for each part of the menu, so i’ve cropped the picture for each part to point it out.

the top of the menu
the brown box at the left will display the お茶会Lv. [tea party level], the teas unlocked (signaled by a filled cup of tea), and the 交流Lv. [exchange level]. to the right, all the levels of the training attributes are shown for easier reference.
the exchange level corresponds to the amount of levels each training attribute has. after unlocking a certain amount of 交流 levels, in this case 10, the tea party level will rise and another type of tea will be unlocked.
about tea party level 5: level 5 is the maximum and is only unlocked once you have 25 交流 levels. it unlocks the special drink (if you haven’t unlocked it by chance already) and allows you to serve two drinks and sweets at once! here’s what it looks like (i reached the 10 image limit lol)
the bottom of the menu
the section in the middle, marked by 選んでください [please choose], displays all the teas and sweets you can serve! click on the teas and sweets to place them on the plates at the top.
different kinds of teas are obtained by raising your tea party level, and sweets are obtained by resting. the bonuses and stamina needed for each type of tea to be served are displayed in the text box at the top. pairing the tea with sweets will generally lower the stamina cost by 4, but combining certain teas and sweets will cut the stamina cost in half. there’s more information for tea bonuses and pairing teas and sweets in the last section!
finally, the button at the bottom says 開催 [hold]. pressing on it when the percentage bar is at 100% will allow you to hold the tea party and serve whichever teas and sweets you chose, giving you the bonuses from said teas!

tea bonuses
as a reminder, matching sweets will lower the stamina cost of the tea by half while any other sweets will lower stamina cost by 4. the only exception to this is the special tea, which has its stamina cost lowered by half when paired with any type of sweets.
tea party level needed: 1 (unlocked automatically) bonus: random training attribute level +1 stamina cost (no sweets): -20 matching sweet: parfait

tea party level needed: 3 bonus: for the next turn, whichever training attribute is chosen will have its level raised by 2. stamina cost: -20 matching sweet: pie

tea party level: 4 bonus: for the next turn, the effects of the training parameter chosen will be raised by 60% matching sweet: scone(? i’m not sure what this is lol)

the special tea appears at random. once it does, the special tea will not disappear until you serve it. bonus: for 3 turns, the effect of whichever training parameter chosen will be increased by 30%. (you can choose up to 3 different parameters; one every turn!) stamina cost: -30 any snack will lower the stamina cost by half!
