Accidents happen all the time

Chili, who’d been standing peacefully beside some prickly looking bush, had not in any way been prepared for a Meowth to appear out of nowhere and knock him off his feet.

Having zero footing and nothing but the bush itself to hold onto, the two of them tumbled backwards into the thorns. The red-haired gym leader yelped, stopped from jumping out of the bush and trying to pull all the prickers off of him by the pokemon that’d fallen on top of him, “Not to rush you are anything, but could you get off of me?”

“And then the young trainer sent out her Terpig and it was certainly an easy battle after- Ooph!“ Cress was cut off mid-sentence by a door suddenly swinging open and knocking him in the face. 

Chili, who’d been listening  to his brother when the incident occurred, peered around the door frame and smirked at the visitor, “You really couldn’t have picked a better time to open that. Welcome; Come on in!”
