🍂 And woven within the sweet song, was a promise. Unknown to Greg, those words settled the flighty fear the timid little pokemon had deep in it’s heart- she was still a baby and trusted this free-spirited boy to guide her wherever. It was then she knew, she wanted to grow stronger, be more reliable, and braver so that she may never fail- never think to drop his trust when he held her tight in spite of danger.
x ♫ - AL NIENTE; It sounded like singing. Though distant, the faint melody of a song could be heard, earning both her attention and a disapproving look from a certain newly-evolved Umbreon. There was a degree of trust that he had for her now, seeing that it had been what prompted his evolving– but trust had nothing to do with the fact that she was easily distracted when it came to anything related to music. Well, at least there was improvement in terms of how Leah was often dazed in the past, seeing that she was able to notice the cry for help that was increasing in volume following some poor soul’s descent.
“ P-psychic! ” Was the immediate response, to which Aries gave her a questioning look, seeing that it sounded much like when she asked him to perform a ‘move’, but he had yet to have heard of this ‘Psychic’. Thankfully, with each time that such questionable things were spoken aloud by herself, she had come to become used to it and learned to readjust what she ought to be doing instead. What was she to do in this situation, though? It was not as though there was anyway they could be caught…
But they could certainly be redirected. “ Aries, I need you to use Swift behind them! ” Cue several star-shaped rays being shot towards their direction, eventually clashing into one another and causing a blast. A blast that she was hoping would be able to push them away from their fate of plummeting into the waters, though to what extent it would help exactly she was not entirely sure. It certainly could have made matters worse if it was unfortunately timed, after all.
[🍂] ~ Once fun, now Greg wanted to get off this aerial ride- flying was better with his brother because he would know what to do in this situation. With his eyes tight shut, the boy curled up and hugged Jason close to his chest, bracing for impact and oblivious to his frog croaking at the pokemon; A warning of incoming projectiles.
Bounce twisted, beady eyes widened and multiple things happened at once.
Jason struggled free from Greg’s tight embrace, crawled down, and dangled from Greg’s legs. Bounce used CONSTRICT!, earned a pained ‘oof-!’ from Greg and the frog swung from the boy’s leg, the momentum from the frog just enough to narrowly miss a direct hit. The starry current blew open an opportunity for the Drifloon to spiral towards land instead, the taunt strings prevented any chance of the boy slipping during the rocky flight- there may be bruisings, however.
Battle wounds!
The rest of the descent remained uneventful, yet safe and calming enough for Greg to peek through his fingers. He reached for the smiling frog and pulled him back into the safety of his arms just as his feet landed on firm land. When he felt the string’s of Bounce Hat pull away, Greg pulled the pokemon into a group hug.
✧ 。o ~ “Mmmm, I knew you guys were special.” ☆- ☆
He hugged them warmly, then turned around when he felt the amphibian wave his flippers at something behind him. Bounce hid behind the boy, scared at the sight of the newcomers while Jason simply blinked- between the two, a smiling boy- not knowing Leah and Aries were the ones who helped him due to him covering his eyes- offered a friendly wave.
✧ 。o ~ “Hullo there! My name’s Walter, this is Cricket Mr. Jee, and Bounce Hat behind me- we just finished a Mary Poppin’s Adventure! What brings you ‘round these parts?” ☆- ☆
Wind currents now stronger near the expansive seaside, Bounce had trouble keeping a smooth aerial flight and spiraled down, down, down closer to the docks. His singing cut short as Greg waved his arms in the air, accompanied with the frantic croaks from Jason, and the three strange sight hurled straight towards the cold, shallow waters.
“Weeee! Watch out belowww- whoa- oah aaaah!”
His joyous screams turned to fright, as he saw where his destination would have him land. Hands covered his eyes and Bounce tried desperately to float away, against the currents, its strings tight around Greg’s chest. The pokemon could easily fly away if it unburdened itself from Greg and Jason- thought it to, as the strings started to loosen as natural flight response kicked in...
“H-help! I’m, I need to wait thirty minutes before swimming!”

✧ 。o ~ “Hmm, I don’t think we’re in Mrs. Daniel’s bathtub anymore.” ☆- ☆
The thick forest trees and mud-trodden paths of Eterna Forest were certainly not the worn out granny wallpaper or yellowing bathroom tiles, yet the sudden transportation did not startle the young boy. Through mist-like confusion, Greg only felt budding curiosity and that naive, child-like wonder, unafraid of his new surroundings and not worried about his lack of knowing.
He was, however, confused on what he said.
✧ 。o ~ “Wait a minute!-” He lifted the frog nestled in his arm till they were eye-level. “Who’s Mrs. Daniel’s bathtub, and who’s Mrs. Daniel?” He paused. “Oh, hello there Mr. Frog, are you Mrs. Daniel?” ☆- ☆
All he gets is a drawn out croak in response. Greg responds back with a cheery laugh, not at all concerned with the voice in his head questioning why he couldn’t remember anything- that’s okay, he will find a way!
✧ 。o ~“You’re right! Hey, want to find a goose with me so we can find our way back home?” ☆- ☆ Was he not home? Where was he? The questions were not as daunting now that he had a new found amphibian friend.
They didn’t travel too far, their conversation consisted of getting to know each other questions and naming each other, when wormhole opened up in front of them. Leaves sliced through the wind, trees groaned at the pull of gravity and Greg shielded the frog from harm, the boy never taking his eyes off the wondrous sight. From the wormhole, a bunch of pokemon came through narrowly missing the boy and the frog and tumbled into the woods, cries of confusion and fear echoed in the darkness. As the vortex closed, a single Dritfloon squeezed through and blasted towards the boy as if a single, concentrated current guided the pokemon and helpless to the wind the pokemon bumped softly into the boy.
✧ 。o ~“Whoa…” His hand closed around the strings of the pokemon on instinct and picked himself back up from the dirt floor. “A party balloon?” ☆- ☆
Floon~
✧ 。o ~“Ah! A talking party balloon!.” ☆- ☆ He lets go from shock only for the pokemon to attached to his arms, as if scared to be swept away once again. Greg didn’t know what to make of this, looked to his frog friend then snapped his fingers in-
✧ 。o ~“Eureka! You’re scared another big bad North Wind’s gonna take you away. Don’t worry! Mulberry St. Johnson and I will take you in this humble party and find your home too! Come on!” ☆- ☆
Greg held out his hand and the balloon pokemon took it, hesitant at first then held onto the boy’s hand firmly.
✧ 。o ~“My name’s Walter and this is Mulberry St. Johnson, but you can call him Kitty for short. So, from where you’re from, can all balloons talk?” ☆- ☆
And the three figures ventured further into the woods, chatting amicably about whatever came into mind. Where they end up, had yet to be revealed.
