@condor-herooflore
the ONLY thing i care about
(I need to follow more people. So many have just gone Poof!)
âDid all you good boys and gorls miss me, the best Hero in this timeline~?â
shengnantheheroâ:
Shengnan flinched as Condor knelt down in front of her. She was not used to such a gesture, especially one directed at her.Â
âThank you, really, but donât take pity on me. Iâve been fighting under my Emperor- âŠEmpress for years now. I can hold my own.â She knew. She knew it wasnât pity, but she felt she didnât deserve any kindness, either. If only Condor knew of the atrocities she had committed over the years, of the families she had torn apart, of the innocent lives she had cut short.Â
The sorceress clenched her fists and took a step back from the kneeling woman. A fire burned in her eyes, one that had long been extinguished until recently. âThereâs nothing left for me to do except kill the man who ruined my life, who set me on this path. I wonât deny your help if it pertains to that. Heâs like a cockroach. No matter what you do to him, he somehow survives it.â She forced a small chuckle.
That old coldness took Condor for a moment as she tilted her head and stared at the enraged sorceress. âAnd when that duty is done, when the fire or your rage finally is no longer needed, what then?â
The ice melted away, and the Hero stood back up, back to as cheerful as she was meant to be, A warmth to offset Shengnanâs anger, but clumsy without knowing the truth. âSorry if its out of place for me to say, but a beautiful life like yours shouldnât be consumed by unending vengeance. I hope you find something else worth fighting for.â
Condorâs made a little giggle, springing to her feet with a joyous bounce, dusting her pants off.Â
shengnantheheroâ:
condor-heroofloreâ:
Condor nodded twice, head bobbing like her namesake and wild hair going all over, her shining smile still bright and welcoming. âYup, yup! Humans are great. If you are human. Sorry if youâre not, that was terribly rude of me!â
Again, that shining smile. Her golden eyes carried a gleam that told a story, a story of another world and a story of destiny shattered. Love was reflected in her eyes, a genuine warmth for everything. âI think itâs a mix of me being pretty dumb and as you said, being able to look past the worldâs shortcomings. There are longcomings to make up for it! Longgoings? Yeah! Hehehehe!â Despite that her smile dipped slightly, and that glow faded. For a brief moment, the Hero took a sombre tone.
âIt can be hard. I can understand how people canât see the world like I can, and that must be so hard. But I can still help! Oh, that reminds me! How did you become a Hero? Why dâya do it? If you donât mind me returning your question~?â The gleam and grin came back as if it didnât leave in the first place.
âNo, I certainly am human- I hope.â It was more reassuring than anything to know that Condor was more faceted than the sorceress first believed. Even this bubbly, happy-go-lucky person experienced hardships, yet she never seemed to falter. A shred of hope glimmered in the recesses of Shengnanâs heart, yearning for a promised life dangling just out of reach.
âWhy did I become a hero..? Well, it was never really my intention,â Shengnan glanced down at the mossy stone beneath her feet, looking for the right words to say so as not to alarm Condor, âI was quite the opposite of one for a while. That is, until my leader was killed in front of me like a wild dog. By the common enemy of Good and Evil, no less.â
She paused for a moment, âI play a bigger role in this than I would like to. I became a Hero through the alliance, but I have a personal vendetta of my own.â Her steely gaze didnât seem to match her aura. Somehow, she seemed smaller than she was. Meeker.Â
There were things that Heroes knew between themselves, the shattered nature of Loreâs timeline allowed some things to come to pass that shouldnât. Condor, even with her apparent naivete, knew the rules. Shen was leaving out specifics, and the Hero of Dragons wasnât going to question or pry. There were just things she shouldnât learn.
But what Condor did understand was that Shengnan had a difficult life. Thus, it was her duty to help the shorter sorceress no matter how she could. Which is why she knelt as if a knight before a princess, smile smaller but still present, her voice calm. Condor could read the aura better than she could read the tone and expression. Twas her nature. âSounds like youâve been through a lot. I admire that you push on despite everything going against you. Itâs OK, you know, if you want to stop. You can earn quite a pretty penny doing heroism, enough to retire on. Sometimes vendettas... revenge donât work out. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut thatâs up to you, I am just a stranger after all! So I can only offer my thoughts and my open arms if you want a helping hand.â
The Hero, to Sepulchure: Iâve decided to see your threat against my life as you flirting.

âAh well, maybe we can work one something in the future.â The Hero shrugged, the issue put out of her mind as easy as a breeze. A tilt of the head as she regarded the shorter Hero as that same breeze let her think for a moment.
âItâs simple. I donât want people to get hurt.â She smiled brightly, arms wide looking as if she was going to embrace Shen or the world around her, looking up slightly. âThis world is beautiful. The wind, the sun, the light, the sound of laughter and joy. Itâs nothing like where Iâm from! This beauty gave me a new life, new eyes to see it. Why would I not want to protect it? To sustain that beauty. Humans like you mean so much to me, I canât stand still to watch you get hurt if I can do it. Iâm pretty dumb so all I can do is hit things really hard!â
âHehe, so my answer is âloveâ!â
âHumans like meâŠ?â Other creatures becoming Heroes wasnât unheard of, sheâd just never met one soâŠ.humanoid. Even the Darkbloods had monsterly attributes. She put her thought aside for a moment.
âLove, huh? I gotta say, I respect that. Its more humble and pure than other reasons, good or bad. Either youâre really as dumb as you say you are, or you can look past the worldâs shortcomings.â She paused for a moment. âIt must be nice living like that.â
Condor nodded twice, head bobbing like her namesake and wild hair going all over, her shining smile still bright and welcoming. âYup, yup! Humans are great. If you are human. Sorry if youâre not, that was terribly rude of me!â

The Hero hummed and haaâd before shaking her head, shrugging as she did. âNope, nuh-uh, that doesnât sound right. You had some good ideas there, but maybe think a lil further?â Not that she was going to give any advice. Condor had a doofy grin still on her face.Â
The sorceress sighed, waving her hand as she did. âNope, Iâm fresh out of ideas. I may be good at remembering names, but Iâm sure as hell terrible at coming up with âem. Condor it is.â
Shengnan studied the woman for a moment.
âI suppose every conversation with a fellow Hero leads to this moment. Whyâre you risking your life, huh? Gold? Fame? A sense of justice? Or sheer boredom?â
âAh well, maybe we can work one something in the future.â The Hero shrugged, the issue put out of her mind as easy as a breeze. A tilt of the head as she regarded the shorter Hero as that same breeze let her think for a moment.

Oh. Phew. Shengnanâs face softened, relieved by the fact that she wasnât affiliated with Him. She herself was, in a way, but definitely not by choice. This woman seemed too bubbly and happy to ever let herself become His pawn. She hoped.Â
âShen? Yeah, thatâs alright. What would I call you? Condor, as uh, unique as it is, feels a bit weird to say. I know Iâm one to talk; mine is a mouthful.â Wasnât that the name of a bird of prey? As weird as it was, though, it seemed to fit this unusual Hero. Something told the sorceress that behind this upbeat nature was the heart of a warrior, something a lot of other Heroes lacked.
The Hero chuckled a bit and stepped back, putting a hand to her chin and looking to her left. She⊠she made the thinking emoji, how does she know what that was. The moment passed and she shrugged. âWell⊠Condor is my name, I chose it myself. Iâve never been given a nickname or a shorthand of it. If you come up with something Iâd be willing to try it!â
She seemed excited at the idea of a nickname, eyes shining with anticipation.Â
Chose it herself? She couldnât help but wonder what name thisâŠpeculiar person had before. Condor. Hm. The name ended with a hard use of the tongue, much like her own. Con. Con, Con, ConâŠnie? Connie? Connor? No, that was another name entirely. Then again, it could work? All it did was replace the âdâ with another ânâ. Fuck it, lets give the girl some options.
âAll right, iâm giving you some options,â she paused for dramatic effect in the absence of a drum roll, âConnie or Connor?â
The Hero hummed and haaâd before shaking her head, shrugging as she did. âNope, nuh-uh, that doesnât sound right. You had some good ideas there, but maybe think a lil further?â Not that she was going to give any advice. Condor had a doofy grin still on her face.Â

Shengnan looked at the woman quizzically. The mention of chaos in any scenario made her wary, let alone the phrase âhero ofâ tacked onto it. Destroyer of the Shadowscythe? Understandable. Her empress had made many enemies over the years.
âNo, thereâs no problem at all. Just a question. Hero of chaos? What exactly is that supposed to entail?â There was a hint of aggression in her voice, and for good reason. Perhaps this woman meant chaos in a sense of being unpredictable herself, but Shengnan couldnât take that chance. If push comes to shove, these women may meet again on the battlefield.Â
Condor could sense the sudden surge of aggression from the other Hero. Oh, had she said something wrong? Must have been the âchaosâ moniker. Makes sense, no one wanted things to get too crazy. She held a hand up and waved it, as if to ward off a strike. âAhaha, donât worry about it. Itâs a contract thing. Iâm a Dragonlord, and my partner is the, quote, 'Black Dragon of Chaos and Destruction, destined to destroy the world.â Itâs fine, the prophecy was wonky anyway. Sheâs quite adorable and sweet actually! So I got the whole âChaosâ thing stuck on to my name. I hope that was a satisfactory answer, miss Shengnan.â
A pause as Condor clapped her hands together and grinned widely at the spellcaster. âOh! Hey! Can I call you Shen for short?â

@shengnanthehero
The woman before Condor had a strange aura about her, one that she hadnât encountered before. It felt⊠purple but not in the nice way that Tomix was, but in a strange, icky way. Like water trying to be oil. Yeah, that made sense to her. The Hero gave a nod to herself, affixing Shengnan with a quizikle stare. âYou smell like eyeballs and purple. Are you sick? Iâm a Hero, so I can help if ya need it.â
âIâŠsmell like what?â Sheâd never recieved a comment like that before, usually ones pertaining to her appearance or attitude, but never about her scent. Did chaos have a scent? She never stopped to think about it.
âNevermind that. There never seems to be a shortage of heroes, eh? Iâm one myself, so I donât need the help. The names Shengnan.â The sorceress crossed her arms.
Condorâs face lit up like a puppy being told that it was a âgood boy/girlâ. Immediately she strode to the shorter woman, all smiles and glow. â âAh! Another Hero! Thank the Avatars for Loreâs funky-wonky-weird time nonsense, right? Either way Iâm glad to meetcha, my nameâs Condor - Hero of Chaos, destroyer of the Shadowscythe, Dragonlord, protector of Falconreach and... well, you get the idea!â
She abruptly leaned back, the metaphorical glow not fading but she held a curious expression on her face. âDonât worry about your smell, it isnât bad. But! But! Hero or not, if you have a problem Iâd be happy to help you with it. Thatâs just who I am.â

âHey there, I know I havenât been around a lot but Iâm still me, everyoneâs favourite hero! If you wanna stop by for advice, to chat or to adventure, just like this post right here for a starter, whatever that means. Iâm just reading off this orb.â
Condor reference for @passi0nlip!!
Normally Mesolith's attitude led her to view humans as something that deserved to have their money taken. But looking at Condor; practically through her, she instead felt the need to toss her a silver piece and walk away.
âEh?â Donât by anime, Condor. She was somewhat confused by this strange individual wandering up, inspecting her as if she was an exhibit and threw a silver coin at her. This wasnât even valid currency on Lore! Condor caught the piece on instinct, before trailing after Mesolith holding it out. âHey-hey miss, I think you dropped this.â
