Guess whos back
Soo, I’ve been a little busy for a while. Mostly, my full time job needed some attention, so coding went aside. Also, I’ve been working on www.hotelovevune.cz which is a website about scents for commercial spaces, and www.aurumurquell.cz which is a website for a portable beer tap...basically. Now, I’m full on practicing graphics and design for the purpose of being self-sufficient. So the following posts are probably going to be some graphic works.
I hope you won’t mind, whoever you are.
Ok, Frontend Mentor is giving me a hard time right now.
Apparently, now you can only host your solutions of their challenges ONLY through their trusted providers which are on their trusted/recommended list. This is silly. I pay for my services to a legitimate company, which is secure, stable, and one of the best known in my country, yet it is somehow not trustworthy?
Okey, that is the end of me submitting my solutions to their webpage, because I simply refuse to use other hosting solely for Frontend Mentor.
Haven’t posted in a while, Have I?
Yeah, last few weeks were hard at work, but I am back yo!
It took me about 2 weeks to finish coding the last project that I started, which is the space tourism website. Why? Because I had to rewrite it about 5 times, as it needed display: grid; knowledge which I didn’t have...and i gained it...the hard way.
Anyway, here it is. Finished, somehow ready. It can surely be done better, but I was so sick of it that I just started coding another project, which is in progress. Here is the link!

I just want to throw this out there...the challenge with multipage space travelling website is hard as hell. There are so many alignments that you need to count with that it’s driving me crazy. I have redone the header two times already, and it needs to be redone again.
On the other hand, that’s what learning is.

Soo, over the course of last week I was pretty lazy. I got back to work after a week and I just did not feel like coding at all. BUT, I just started a new challenge at frontend mentor, which is a multipage space tourism website. Honestly, this will truly be a challenge, as the design looks kinda complex, but we will see. I am preparing all the files today, and doing all the hard work...tomorrow :D cheels
Aaand the calculator is finished. It took about 3 hours. It was actually easier than I thought it would be. The only thing that was confusing at the beginning was the theme switch and all the color management. I’m pretty happy about this one, not gonna lie.

Sooo I decided to tackle an intermediate challenge, which is a JS calculator app, responsive, and with three switchable themes. Wish me luck.
Another Frontend Mentor challenge done. It was not that much of a challenge, but that is just because I am too lazy to do complicated stuff today, so I sticked with the newbie level challenges. The next challenge will be atleast intermediate.

Another challenge from Frontend Mentor finished. This one does not go to my portfolio though, because it is pretty simple. I wanted to finish it under 30 minutes (project setting, git, coding, upload). It took 47. Still pretty happy about myself.
Hey folks, just wanna let you know about another challenge from Frontend Mentor that I finished. This was harder, because I’m not that good in jquery yet. And I need to have a look at how to use objective jquery...if it exists, dunno. Here it is.

I think the importance of a comfortable workplace and a good work layout is often overlooked. Many people tend to waste space, and then get extra displays because they feel like their space ain't enough.
Sure, six displays are cool, but so is working with what you have.
Just one of my cats, to cheer ppl up.
So I figured that as I have a hosting now, I might as well make myself a nice portfolio of stuff that I worked on, so here it is.
