This was meant to be a tumblr for me laying out my thought spirals in words. When I found that too hard, I just decided it'll be where I talk about movies. This will more just be lists, reviews, and gifs. I have another blog where I do theories and rants, but those are generally just a random thing stuck on my mind.

Annie killing the Deep would be very satisfying sure

I also think it would be satisfying for Annie to essentially decide he's not worth the little bit of effort it takes to kill him. But Homelander sees that she spared him and thinks he's a secret turncoat (the deep is of course too much of a coward to be one) and kills him instead.

I just think the idea of Homelander killing or driving away all of the Seven out of paranoia makes sense for him. Cannibalizing the only people he thinks he has left.

The exception to this is Sister Sage, I really can't figure out her deal. She either has a secret plan or is being used to show even the smartest people fall to power (an absolute power corrupts absolutely situation) Fingers crossed for the first option but "smartest person in the world" powers are the most difficult to do since they're usually being thought of by a writer untangling 50 different plot threads.

I'm 95% certain season 5 will be the first time Jonathan goes physically into the Upside Down. Closest he's gotten is when he pulls Nancy out in season 1. But in every other season, the Upside Down monsters come to him or in the case of season 4 he's dealing with the supernatural threat that is Men With Guns.

Really, the PVP was diminished a far more than it could have been.

 Chetney wasn’t using any Blood Hunter abilities (remember he can cast inflict wounds y’all, it’s probably a good thing he’s mindless under the flare)

And then Orym doesn’t have a magical weapon (to quote Marisha “We need to fix that”)

Could you imagine what could have happened at full force? With the way Ruidus has been flaring we might end up finding out...

But mainly crossing fingers for a bigger convo between Imogen and her mom. I really wish someone had access to the Dream spell. It’s high level and only makes sense in very specific circumstances but this situation is like The Circumstance for it. Instead of having to find her, one of the Temults could project into the other’s mind and they can finally talk shit out without using every 3 lvl+ spell slot.

Time is a Weird Soup

Since Umbrella Academy is coming back soon I feel like it’s understated that from Five’s first appearance in the main plot of season 1 (coming through the portal at Reginald’s funeral) attempting to stop the apocalypse twice has occurred for him over the duration of like two weeks (it gets a bit wonky when you consider him going back to work for the Handler since it’s unclear how many “days” passed for him in a place out of time)

The old man is long past due for a nap. But also, god time is wild in this show. The siblings went from all being the exact same age to it being like this.

Five is 58+ (again, temps commission makes it confusing now because we don’t know how long he trained with them before the JFK mission, post-apocalypse marksman Five looked ancient, but I imagine you don’t age gracefully in the apocalypse)

Then Klaus at 33+ (He was in Vietnam for almost a year, so he’s either 34 or almost 34)

Ghost Ben at 33 (his ghost clearly ages, but he didn’t go back with Klaus to Vietnam)

Alison at 32

Luther at 31

Diego at 30

Viktor also at 30, but a bit younger than Diego

Fun parallel I noticed with Annie and Hughie in The Boys is that in season one Ashley/someone at Vought says “This is why we love you” to Annie right before immediately berating her or telling her to go against what she wants to do. And then Butcher says “You’ll love it” to Hughie anytime he has a plan/wants him to go somewhere he definitively won’t enjoy.

Then in season two, Ashley/Vought people stop saying that to Annie since now she knows what they’re really like and Hughie tells Butcher to stop saying it to him because he’s fully aware of the true fucked up-ness of what they’re experiencing. 

It’s just a small writing/dialogue thing that shows the progression of them from being spectators/puppets in their world to making their own decisions (To the point that most places Hughie goes in season one are places Butcher tells him too, but in season two he has more of his own missions... usually with Annie, and this time she actually knows his real reasons for being there).

One thing I’ve always really liked about HXH is that Gon is always relatively inconsequential to the antagonist of the arc ( even Hisoka usually has different primary goal at any interaction) until like the end of it and even then it’s rarely because of Gon himself, it’s cos of one of his friends or he has something the antagonist needs. But it wasn’t until Literally Right Now that I realized that he legit never directly met Meruem. jiqwjai

the show fucking told us she was exploding people’s heads in episode one of this season.

Raynor’s head explodes and then MM says “Who do you know that can do that?” or something like that and it immediately cuts to news reel footage of her (fairly certain that might be her first appearance too)

In like every scene she’s in she has this unflinching stare just in case someone steps out of line/tries to attack her. Goddamn I love this twist.

If you love anime and find yourself with free time, check out Netflix’s anime movies and tv shows. They’ve really been fulfilling that particular category with some amazing works. Breathtaking visuals and beautiful/fast paced/dark stories. A Silent Voice, Flavors of Youth, 7 Seeds, Castlevania, The Garden of Words, March Comes in like a Lion, Carole and Tuesday...just to name some of my favorites.

Anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day is a heart-wrenching coming of age drama that gave me strong Bridge to Terabithia vibes

Code Geass is an older show from CLAMP that’s like half high school comedy half political intrigue and Mecha in a wild chess match.

Haikyuu!! is a fun show about volleyball that taught me more about the sport than P.E. in school ever could.

In this Corner of the World is a movie I haven’t seen yet but my friend who’s recommendations I trust says that it’s breathtaking but also sad.

There’s a few others but they’re some of the Big Ones so I assume you already know them.
