It's wild to me that Occtis being willing to resurrect a deity wasn't called out more, because that switches him into villain status for me. Like, at least Vaelus has the excuse of potentially being brainwashed since birth and grieving heavily. Occtis is doing it out of what? Professional curiosity? These gods enslaved people!

He was a character I was really obsessed with, but idk now. The only way I can see getting past this is if it's treated as a redemption arc by the story- something he definitely needs to correct himself about.

Why the hell are people so mad that the new hunger games book has returning characters and more context for characters we like . It’s a FRANCHISE not a standalone. Why would Suzanne Collins the GOAT write a prequel that takes only 24 years before the first book and have no returning characters. This is the perfect place to give us more context on these characters. Is the original trilogy only about Katniss’s story NO. So why would this book be solely about Haymitch. It does not make sense. Some of you need to read more books. These books have multiple stories for a reason. Themes are are easier to hammer in when the larger narrative has more smaller narratives.

I really like franziska and phoenix’s relationship, because they have two common traits loving miles and being super judgmental (affectionate). Phoenix is just as rude as Franziska he just doesn’t say it out loud all the time. So when you put them in a room together past the original trilogy, they can just vent about all the wild shit they have to deal with and how they are the only normal people in the world. (They are wrong they are not normal) And they bicker over who knows more about Miles, but are really just happy Miles has another person in his corner.

On April 26th, I drew Kipperlilly Copperkettle for the first time. The next day, I drew her again! And again. And... here we are.

I'm really proud of how much I was able to commit to this. The "daily Kipperlilly" project is going to become a little less... daily, going forward. As my summer plans grow, I won't really have the time to draw her every single day anymore. But rest assured, I still be drawing her. She's far too entrenched in my mind to be abandoned.

I have to say it. I don't get the Rat Grinders discourse. Or perhaps I'm missing the nuance of it all.

But as someone who's literally on my way out of being a teen but still has a lot of the teen-like behaviours, I 100% would have reacted to the RGs the same way the BKs did.

Like yes, the Rat Grinders have been manipulated and I understand that. I also understand that Kipperlily killed Buddy, they sent a fleet of dragons after the entire school, which they trapped in a house that they also shot into the sky.

You can't possibly be shocked by the bad kids reaction to them, honestly I completely expected the level of vitriol they came to the fight with. Not only has every interaction with the Rat Grinders been increasingly hostile on both sides, but the things that they're saying aren't coming out of nowhere. Fabian telling Ivy that he was going to skin her wasn't just for shits and gigs, Ivy said that shit about Mazey first.

This is how teenagers would react to a situation like this. You can be aware that the people you're fighting have been manipulated, and also want to get your lick back when you get fucking stabbed by them, especially when they are your literal nemesis.

And lastly, if the person that had a teacher write their essay for them and all they had to do was write down the date and their own name on it, came up to you and told you that you were getting special treatment and that it wasn't fair??? You would lose your fucking shit too.

You can't deliver people bullshit on a platter and expect them not to react like they've been delivered bullshit on a platter.

Also, they are not real. None of this is real. No real teenage girls have been called bitches in the making of this programme.

I think some ppl in the fantasy high fandom need to realize that at no point in their 3 years of adventuring education have the Bad Kids been taught, shown or been given mercy.

Since day one it has been kill or be killed. They were taught in the lunchroom on their first day of school that anyone can die, and your enemy is always going to take the kill shot if they’ve got an opportunity.

So as we watch the Bad Kids once again fight to save the world while the adults who should protect them are nowhere to be found we as a fandom should remember; Lunchlady Doreen, Penelope Everpetal, Dayne Blayd and Johnny Spells with all his greaser buddies who all died at the hands of the Bad Kids, who were all used and manipulated in a larger plot of evil and all of whom did not hesitate to try and kill the Bad Kids.

What separates the henchmen of past seasons and the Rat Grinders? Age? At no point do the Rat Grinders show any sign to the Bad Kids that they have remorse for their actions, would switch sides if given the chance, or that they would hesitate to kill anyone that got in the way of their goal.

It sucks that these teenagers have been manipulated and used so that Porter can fail to become a god but if someone is trying to kill you and you have to choose between killing that person or your own life, your home, your friends, and your world do you think you’d take the time to sit down for group therapy first? Would you really think to stop and try to empathize with your would be killer? OR would you fight to live and face the consequences after?

So I want everyone to be honest when I say this for those that want ratgrinders redemption what steps do you wish the Bad Kids had taken in the first part of this combat. Mind you from the Bad Kids perspective even if these teenagers are mind controlled they are in enough of a state to put 500 teenagers in lethal danger. They are in the middle of pitch combat and the Rat Grinders have full intention to murder the Bad Kids at this very moment. What are they to do? Genuine question, because I have no idea any solution to the very present danger to the entire town of elmville, that is not forcing the Rat Grinders to stop through violence as long as Porter is alive and Porter is going to much be harder to kill with 3 spell casters with 9th level spell slots and as well as melee fighters on the Bad Kids ass the whole fight.

What where the Bad Kids supposed to do that would actually be effective against mind controlled people actively trying murder them and destroy their whole town.
