first run of the xenonite suit (grace naively thought he was going to be able to play it cool)

handing u this idea to play with (if u want!) bc i know i wont ever actually do anything with it - also the way u draw animals (and ur art in general!) is stunningggggg like the textures are perfection i love it sm

grace - an american red fox of course :)

simon - a ‘mutt’ - half sapsali (korean temple guardian dog) and half deutsch stichelhaar (aka german roughhaired pointer - who have fantastic mustaches, in homage to markipliers own dad)

eva - stabijhoun w/ brown coat coloration (a dutch hunting dog know for its gentleness and loyalty. apparently the name literally means the ‘stand by [me] dog’. the sort of dog who could stare down the apocolypse and not flinch. historically used to hunt -among other things- foxes :)

carl - either a cane corso or giant schnauzer (both i think would be perfect for the whole ‘no we dont have a budget :/ …..but i do ;)’ deadpan sort of humor)

ava - coyote (dont think that needs much justification - scrappy, opportunistic, desperate to survive, can be dangerous but distinctly NOT the top of the food chain (heh). always grieving. always hungry. )

and while the human characters are all various thpes of canines, the eridians would all be birds (briefly considered them being fish instead to go with the whole ‘incompatible atmospheres’ thing but ☝️ singing. besides i am not immune to the whimsy of fox grace playing and rolling around as tiny bird rocky is flittering above his head like cmon)

rocky - cave swallow (tiny (like 4-5in) little light-and-dark-brown bird who constructs very sculptural lil mud cup houses for nest. they nest in caves ofc, but also often tucked up under man-made structures like bridges etc - sometimes they even move into nests of other swallows or owls (where my bedroom???) also very social and good at picking up information, ie. where to find good food by following other birds, where theres NOT food by who of the squad returns emptyhanded etc. also they make a lot of chittering and whistling calls that suit rockys snark. and they have these funny lil flat heads they so goofy i love. OH ALSO ALSO ALMOST FORGOT. CAN BE FOUND IN PUERTO RICO (native to the caribbean and south usa))

adrian - blue-breasted kingfisher (a beautiful medium sized (like 9.5-10.5in -so literally twice rockys size lmao) kingfisher found across much of equatorial Africa. stunning teal blue coloration. i mean just look at them, the eyeliner? the two tone lip? the cropped shoulder shrug with the red prada boots? fucking ✨iconic✨ - also kingfishers in general have a pretty wide rang of vocalizations, some of which are uh. perhaps not the prettiest, musically (looking at u kookaburra. ilusm) but these guys actually have a decent little song that can play nicely with the harmonies of other songbirds. rockys mate bad as hell statement)

i dont have any like Plot Thoughts or anything but i feel like theres some potential like Fox and The Hound flavor heartbreak buried here if u want to dig? genuinely zero pressure tho of course! thanks for reading my wall of text and burd facts :)

Usually when I do the human>animal designs. I try not to go for any specific breed, I focus more on general body shape/markings.

Not for any moral reason. I just don't want the breed to be a template, gives me a bit more freedom. But I really like Ava being a coyote, it really does suit her.

As for Rocky and Adrian I like your ideas... but I'm no good at drawing birds... Someone on tiktok suggested they could be spiders. So I might try that.

Also, in an attempt to avoid the cliché of Simon big and mean and Grace small and fragile. I drew them both around the same size. I hadn't planned to make any more designs, so now I accidentally made Simon way smaller than the rest of the dogs. Whoops?

As for plot... there really isn't any. I just like making designs.
