Whether the Brown's side of the argument is right or the Wilson’s argument is right is irrelevant, to me at least. The fact that people even feel the need to protest means that we have a problem. Don’t trivialize this and say, “People are just playing the race card” because the issue is that a race card exists. The fact is we still live in a nation where white privilege, racism and prejudice is existent. So do not say that this is just people playing the “race card” and they should stop protesting over nothing, because this race card needs to cease to exist. We need to live in a world where we are all PEOPLE not RACES, and we clearly do not. So whichever side is right or wrong, you cannot refute the undeniable fact that people feel the need to protest because they don’t see America as equal and that, at its core, is extremely disheartening and sad.
