This is a snipit of a fic I'm working on that, if I'm honest, may never see the light of day so lemme give you some context for why this is kinda cute.

This is the scene Nines deviates and the first time Gavin calls him "Nines" at all. Fancy pants RK900 completely ignores the nickname for like 3 chapters after that, but Gavin uses it more and more often. Also Nines is pretty slick for a while and doesn't get noticed as a deviant except by Gavin who let's him pass cuz he's grow a bit too attached to the guy to call him out to get decommissioned.

AU where Gavin gets given Nines around the same time Conner comes to work for the DPD and oh boy Nines is fast to deviate at the slightest sign of danger to Gavin.
