Anastasia was never one to handle confrontation well, and sometimes she found herself locked away in her bedroom whenever people were having spats in the house. Although she had never really gotten into one herself, there was always Decan that she had to keep an eye out for. So, she was just working on her music and trying to get herself out there, especially since making music was the only thing that she could use to cope with everything. After meeting Nikandros at the hotel and leaving black and blue, she almost didn’t want to come back to the house. She felt terrible for getting upset with Bella when she was only trying to help, but Anastasia didn’t want to be confronted with a million questions about where the markings came from. So, she stayed at the hotel for that night and snuck but into the house at five in the morning. She didn’t leave her room unless she needed to, and wearing long sleeves was something that she hated.
Ever since she had gotten back to the house, she wondered what her life would have been like if she never left Greece. Would she still be married? Would she still be living in fear? They were questions she never wanted to learn the answer to, and so, she preferred to just stick to herself, avoiding the Twitter wars and random house freak outs that seemed to come about whenever they possibly could. With everyone pretty much away or on tour for about two weeks, Anastasia enjoyed the peace that was in the house, as well as the silence. It felt good to wake up without music playing on one hundred or people bickering. Sure, she was angry with whoever kept eating her food, but she hadn’t caught the culprit just yet. However, she was thankful that Connor had come up to her room with some food that reminded her of home, something that she wasn’t expecting.
She graciously accepted the bag of food, immediately feeling a warm smile appear on her lips at the smell of the food that reminded her of home. “I mean, I usually sleep in something like this,” she spoke, letting the hand that wasn’t holding the bag usually drape around his neck. “I just wasn’t expecting to have any company tonight, but thank you. You didn’t have to do this.”
“Sure.” Connor said noncommittally, grinning into the girl’s soft skin before untangling himself from her limbs. “You know I’d do anything for you.” The casual way he mentioned it, it was like it wasn’t a big deal. But the sentiment ran far deeper, back to their first meetings, and he toed off his shoes to sit cross legged on her bed. “What’s on the telly?” He asked, nimbly ripping the plastic bag open. He’d had the forethought of adding a few extra plates and utensils in the bag before he’d come up, knowing how messy some of the foods could get. When Connor finally looked up at the girl, it was with a bright smile- eyes crinkling. It faded when he saw the shadows against her skin and he tilted his head slightly.
If there was one thing Connor was familiar with, it was the look of well placed bruises, ones that would be hidden if they had to be. Suffering from the affliction himself, for years, the Brit had a slight idea of who put those marks on Anastasia. Even so, he remained silent in case he was wrong. While it wasn’t any of his business, if the Grecian wanted to open up to him about it, she would there was no doubt. He hid his fallen expression by glancing down at their meal, pulling out the rest of it. “I was hoping you’d have drinks up here for us.” He joked, plastering the same grin on his face as before.
the best otps are the ones who realise they’re in love with each other and quickly and firmly deny it to themselves for a ludicrous amount of time

“alright fine... I can’t stay mad at your cute face for very long anyways.”
