PERFORMANCE #1: DANGEROUS WOMAN, A CAPELLA

OUTFIT FOR PERFORMANCE

SPEECH: “This is the first ever live performance of Dangerous Woman, a song that I’ve been working on for the last month or so since Prove’s hiatus. I’ve had a lot of time to work on new music and I’m really excited to really get back into the groove of performing and bringing new music out for everyone. I wanted to perform A Capella because I think this is my favorite way of performing this song and it creates a little curiosity for my fans to figure out what the actual music is going to sound like.”

PERFORMANCE #2: SAY YOU LOVE ME, ORIGINAL

OUTFIT FOR PERFORMANCE

SPEECH: “I wrote this song back when I first came to Prove. I was bright eyed and bushy tailed, and I didn’t really know what to expect. What a lot of people don’t know about this song is that it’s actually dedicated to my ex-husband. Yeah, that ex-husband. When I wrote this, I had a feeling that we could have fixed things, especially since we had been through the loss of our daughter, but it never worked out. I can say that I’m happier being away from him, and the only thing that I ever wanted him to say was that he loved me.”

PERFORMANCE #3: EMOTIONS, COVER

OUTFIT FOR PERFORMANCE

SPEECH: “I’ve been in love with Mariah Carey for as long as I can remember. She’s been my inspiration for as long as I can remember, and it doesn’t help that I have almost every album of hers in my bedroom. I wanted to cover Emotions because it’s the song that everyone knows as a “big” song and people have performed it their own different ways, but I thoroughly had fun with this and working with everyone at the studio.”

FINAL SPEECH:

“I just want to give a final thank you to everyone at Prove from managers to vocal coaches to whenever else there is as I wouldn’t be in this position without you guys. I wouldn’t have released a single or performed at the Roxy without your love and support and I really appreciate everyone being patient with me as I’m getting back into the studio and working on some new songs that I think all of you will be excited to hear. I would also like to give a massive thank you to all of my fans, who have been with me since the beginning. Without you guys I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be on this stage or even on iTunes and I’ve been able to live out my dream since you guys are buying my single and purchasing tickets for my tour and everything in between. Thank you so much for this beautiful opportunity, and I love you all.”

— ♡ ❝ TASK ¦ IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FAMILY. ❞

Anastasia didn’t want to do this task. 

She didn’t want to talk about her parents or anyone else for that matter -- not even her own brothers. Family was family, but that didn’t mean that she enjoyed talking about them all the time. Sure, she called her brothers almost all the time to check on them and to ask how her niece was doing, but other than that, Anastasia had become a recluse. She was fine with sitting in her room and doing nothing for a couple of days, and maybe that was something she found that she loved doing since she turned off her phone and lived off the grid for an entire month. Calling her parents was just something that she didn’t want to do, especially since they were finally divorcing each other after years of being miserable. Most kids wouldn’t be excited that their parents were getting divorced, but Anastasia was ecstatic that her parents were finally parting ways. Sure, that meant that there would be a custody battle over the twins, but nonetheless, while Anastasia was wrapped in her own daydream, she could have almost been finished.

MOTHER.

“Where do I begin with Isadora Athena Stavropoulos? Honestly, there really isn’t anything nice to say. When I was a kid, my mom was literally like Superwoman. She could do no wrong and despite always having a full plate, she did everything with grace and class. Then I hit my teenage years and as I started to rebel, my mother seemed to do the same thing. She started coming home late, she’d be giggling on the phone with someone with an anonymous face to me, and then -- she seemed to fall out of love with my dad. Sure, my dad had his faults and there are times where I wanted to whack him in the head, but she’s my mother. She’s not supposed to be the one that hurts the family -- she’s supposed to be the one that holds it together and makes everything better. However, I don’t know if I have love my mother anymore. She’ll always be my mom and she’ll always be the person who brought me into this world, but I can’t have love for someone who tears apart a family. I love her, she’s my only mother, but I hate to say that I’m tired of having toxicity in my life.”

FATHER.

“My dad falls into the category of my mother. I honestly don’t even want to talk about him because I just got a text from Amarandos saying that they’re probably moving to Italy. It’s not that I don’t have the funds to get to Italy, but I don’t want him to give up on our home in Mykonos. That’s the house where I grew up, the house where I learned to walk, learning to swim, and learned how to do all of these different things and now my dad just wants to sell it like it never meant anything to him. My dad’s always been -- selfish, for lack of a better word. It didn’t matter what it was, he’s just always been a selfish human being. Don’t get me wrong, I can be selfish at times, but never to the extent of my father. Not only that, but I’m positive that he’s the reason as to why my parents are getting a divroce. My mom wanted to get everything worked out and to fix things completely, but he just didn’t want it to work. Luckily, my parents signed a prenup before the marriage so maybe this divorce won’t be that bad.”

BARTHOLOMAIOS.

“My oldest brother is literally my rock. Without him, I don’t think that I would have been able to get through the miscarriage of my daughter. He has his own daughter now, and whenever I see Kori, I always think of Routh. Kori has this big blue eyes that seem to hold the sun, and that’s exactly what Routh would have had. Bart is the brother that I can go to when I want to have a heart-to-heart because he listens and he’s been through way more than me. His wife is like my sister and since I’ve never had a sister, it means the world to me that I’m able to talk to talk to her and brother without a filter. I can go to them about everything and anything and it feels good that they listen without interruption. Bart would give anyone the clothes off of his back and that’s what I love about him. Despite the family’s wealth, Bart doesn’t really care about it -- he reminds me to be blessed to have this life every day.”

AMARANDOS AND SPARTAKOS.

“Ah, the twins. I love them more than I love myself sometimes. I’ve always been the person that they ran to while growing up since I’m five years older and because Bart was usually always gone for whatever reason, but I love them to death. They are literally everything to me and if someone were to hurt them I’d probably end up committing murder. They’ve accomplished so much and honestly I feel like they deserve every bit of success that comes their way. They released their first clothing campaign last year and it’s been extremely successful, and I’m not ashamed to say that I have some of the pieces in my own closet. Not only that, but they’re getting ready to release their summer collection for this year and I’m just overly proud of my brothers.”

i. newark, new jersey — thank you for showing me what some part of the world looks like. thank you for making me aware of the surroundings and for giving me the courage to walk most streets that some may consider dangerous.

ii. my parents/family — to my parents, i thank you both for trying to give me the best you could. you both supported, loved and helped me through anything and i appreciate that. i appreciate you guys for giving me life and wanting happiness in your life when things were rough. alex, thank you for taking care of me when you really shouldn’t have. you took mom’s main duty while she was working and you literally had a kid before anyone on our block. thank you for all the good times and the bad times, thanks for helping me grow up. as for my family, thanks for your love and support throughout my days. if it wasn’t for you guys sticking by my side even through the drama and everything else, who knows where i’d be?

iii. my friends — thank you for knowing me better than i know myself. thanks for sticking by me when everyone else was leaving or doubting me. i appreciate each and every memory we have, i appreciate the fact that i got lucky with the best group of people i could call friends. even though we might have our downs, we always manage to come together and move past it. i’m glad i was blessed to have the best group of people in my corner.

iv. music — the biggest thank you to one of the best art forms alive. i wouldn’t be here if i hadn’t discovered my one true love so young and without you, i’d be in the lowest of lows. you helped me find my voice, literally and figuratively. you helped me through the worst time of my life and helped me realized that not everything’s all bad. i appreciate you so much and i appreciate the fact that you let me share who i am with everyone i come in contact with.

v. prove — last but certainly not least, thanks for giving me the opportunity to make something out of this music thing. thank you for seeing something in me that most didn’t because honestly? i thought i lacked potential when it comes down to it. you’re helping me grow, you’re helping me make my love for music deeper than what i thought it was. i’m so happy that i can do this, that i have the shot of being bigger than the girl who sung in talent shows and stuff. i appreciate the fact that i’m in a city where dreams can come true and it’s all because of y'all.

i. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN YOUR HOMETOWN AND WHY?

“ — oh, that’s tough. there’s so many but i would say the prudential center, only because i always dreamt i could sell that place out like so many other people. i know it’s not msg or anything but it definitely is to me so it’s probably that.”

ii. IF YOU COULD SWITCH LIVES WITH ANYONE, SOMEONE FAMOUS OF A FICTIONAL CHARACTER, WHO WOULD IT BE?

“ — i’d probably wanna be beyoncé, only because she owns it really well like, her attitude and her confidence is just fierce. she doesn’t take anyone’s shit, she’s literally one of the biggest stars on earth and her music career’s legendary. like, she still manages to slay everyone after it’s all said and done – let’s remember when she dropped that album out of nowhere in 2013? and she’s fucking beyoncé. do i need to say anything else? ”

iii. IF YOU WERE TO BE STUCK ON A DESERTED ISLAND FOR A WEEK, WHAT ARE FIVE THINGS THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU?

“ — hm, that’s really tough. i guess five things i would want to bring with me is food and water because that’s the most logical choices. my phone, just in case i happen to get service to call for help. i doubt it. my journal or just my songbook in general so i can try to write about what’s going on and try to leave my legacy somewhere. uh, some company like having another person to interact with so i don’t have to depend on a volleyball named wilson and that’s pretty much it. ”

iv. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PERFUME?

“ — um, daisy by marc jacobs. i got it for a birthday present once, extremely grateful about that and it smells so good, dude. like, i was seriously upset when i ran out. i almost cried a little bit and honestly? the bottle’s so cute. how could not i fall in love like that? ”

v. HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU DISCOVERED YOUR PASSION FOR MUSIC?

“ — i can’t say i’m this musical prodigy because i’m not but i’d say around ten, maybe eleven? probably even earlier than that, ‘cause i think i realized it when i was trying to follow the choreography to “bye bye bye.” then again, i think it’s when my nana signed me up for piano lessons and I thought that shit was gonna be the worst time of my life. obviously i was wrong. “

vi. HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF YOU COULD ONLY SEE IN BLACK AND WHITE UNTIL YOU MET YOUR SOULMATE?

” — it’s like being colorblind, right? like, i’d be a dog for a good amount time but i’d probably miss knowing what individual colors look like. not knowing what purple is or even yellow scares me a little but if i did meet my soulmate, after going through all that, i think all of it would be worth it. he may get a few jabs here and there but i think it would be worth the wait, having to experience getting acquainted with what each color is together would be cool. “

“Welcome to my crib.” 

“What do you love the most in your room?”  “Probably my bed, it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever laid on. It’s just the best thing.” 

“Is your room usually clean and kept, dirty and wild, somewhere in between?” “I’m not big on cleaning, but I don’t think it’s actually that bad, just a few things out of place, but I try to clean it every weekend so it doesn’t get too crazy.” 

"Do you keep your door locked or unlocked? If unlocked, when do you decide to lock it? If locked when do you choose to unlock it?” “I actually never lock my door, to be completely honest. Which isn’t a good thing, anyone could walk in on me at the weirdest moments, I should make it a habit to lock my door more often.” 

"How much time do you spend in your bedroom on a daily basis?” “I feel like my room and I have a bond like no other, I spend the majority of my time there. My room has really nice acoustics so it’s hard to stay away, but I’m not a loner or anything, I swear!” 

"Are there any rules as to how people should treat your space when being in your bedroom?” “I haven’t really set any rules, but just the obvious stuff, like don’t steal my stuff, or don’t trash my room, nothing too ridiculous.”

001. In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?

“ I’m still pretty dramatic, that’s for sure ! When I was a kid, I was always stomping my foot and whining about something, and I’m still the same way. Just the other day I was at Neiman Marcus and all I was doing was trying on shoes and I found this gorgeous pair of Louboutins and I almost started crying because they didn’t have my size ! ”

002. What is your favorite movie?

“ I have a lot of favorite movies, honestly ! But if I had to pick just one, it would definitely be Clueless ! Beverly Hills in the 90s looked amazing ! ”

003. How would you define your “perfect” day?

“ My perfect day would be having nothing to do for an entire twenty-four hours. No shopping or anything -- I just want to walk around in a face mask with my hair tied up. It’s a little cliche since that’s what everyone deems as a perfect day, but I like the sense of relaxing without having to worry about anything. Sometimes a nice swim is in order or even just lounging around in bed and watching some movies or even working on some new makeup techniques. ”

004. If you were able to time travel, would you rather go to the past or to the future?

“ The future ! I’d love to see how my life turns out later, you know ? Like, will I get married, while I have children or will this whole music career work out -- I look forward to seeing what the future holds, and the past is just something I don’t want to visit again. ” 

005. If you could bring back anyone from the dead – famous or not, who would it be and why?

“ Hmm, this is a tough-y ! There are some people that I would have loved to meet, like Marilyn Monroe or even my great pappoús Adelphos. My mom would always tell me stories about him and how he loved working with charities and doing all of this amazing stuff, but he unfortunately passed when I was even born, so if I could meet him, then I’d love to bring him back ! ”

006. What song do you think best describes your life and why?

“ I’m not really sure ! There’s a lot of songs that I think would describe me, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be Fire Under My Feet by Leona Lewis. A lot of people don’t really think that I know how to do things on my own because they assume that since I come from extreme wealth that I’m just used to everything falling in my lap. However, when I have the passion to do something on my own and when I know what I want to do, I have fire under my feet, coincidentally like the song says. ”

ONE - FIRST OFF, WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD.

"Um, I grew up in New York City, so you could imagine how much of a transition LA is for me. I grew up in a very, how do I say it? Lonely home? I don’t know how to put it into words really, but my parents always worked a lot, so I was home alone often. But I never minded it, I’m comfortable with my own company and I knew that they were working hard so I wouldn’t have to miss out on anything.”  TWO — DID YOU ALWAYS KNOW THAT BEING IN THE INDUSTRY WAS SOMETHING YOU WANTED TO DO?

“I don’t know if being in the industry was something I wanted or even really thought about. I knew, since I was very little that singing is what I wanted to do, that I knew for sure. I always wanted people to read my diary but through my music.” THREE —- WAS YOUR FAMILY SUPPORTIVE OF YOUR DECISION TO JOIN THE PROVE MANAGEMENT AND COME TO THE HOUSE?

“Yeah! Well, my mom was more supportive than my dad. My mom is a fashion designer so she knows what it’s like to turn a big dream into a reality, while my dad is a little more old school and he believes I should be in college getting some sort of degree in something. But overall he’s very supportive and very proud.”  FOUR — HOW ARE YOU FEELING ABOUT HAVING TO SHARE A HOUSE? DO YOU GET ALONG WITH THE OTHER RESIDENTS?

“I love the fact that we’re all musicians, there is something very inspiring about that. I’m not really the one to get into any conflicts, I know when and when not to be around someone, so I think I’m doing good so far.”  FIVE — WHO WERE YOUR INSPIRATIONS AS A KID? WHO ARE YOUR INSPIRATIONS NOW?

“Well, in life my inspiration has always been my parents, they always pushed me to give 100% towards anything I do and they’re just very humble people and they’ve taught me a lot. If we’re talking music wise, I’d say Jhene Aiko is one of those people that inspire a lot, she just has away with lyrics and it’s just incredible the way her mind works.”  SIX — WHAT IS ONE THING THAT NO ONE IN THE HOUSE KNOWS ABOUT YOU? THAT WOULD PROBABLY NEVER WANT THEM TO KNOW?

“Oh, wow, umm, well let’s see, I guess the fact that I come from a wealthy family is something I don’t really want people knowing. I mean if they find out it’s whatever, but I don’t want anyone thinking I bought my way into the industry, I want them to know that I work as hard as they all do.”  SEVEN — IF YOU WEREN’T PURSUING THE FAME PATH, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’D BE DOING RIGHT NOW? 

“I think if I wasn’t trying to make a name for myself, I’d probably still be in the industry in some form, I’d probably write songs for artists or something. I’d probably be vlogging and posting covers on youtube.”  EIGHT — IF THIS DOESN’T WORK OUT FOR YOU, WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DECIDING TO DO?

“I don’t see myself doing anything else, I really don’t. I feel like I can just see everything so clearly now, I know what I have to do and what path I have to take. My head is always revolving around my music, so doing something else is just not in the picture for me.” NINE — IF YOU COULD ONLY PICK ONE, JUST ONE, RICH OR FAME, WHICH WOULD YOU PICK?

“Can I say neither? I mean I don’t really want money or fame to be completely honest. I mean it probably sounds like a bullshit answer but I’m being honest, all I want is for people to hear my music and whatever perks come with it is just icing on the cake.” TEN — LAST BUT NOT LEAST, DO YOU SEE ANY OF THE PEOPLE THAT ALSO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE SAME CHANCE AS YOU AS COMPITETION?

“No, I think everyone in this house is crazy talented and every single one of them deserve to be heard. There is room in the industry for everyone and I’m happy I get to witness and be a part of such a great group of people.”
