is it too much to ask to sleep uninterrupted for a few hundred years?
fall out boy || centuries
No. No. No. All that work he did in trying to get that little morsel was now half gone. His ears perk upon hearing the soft crunch of the treat and immediately he release his hold around Sloth. The older male must mean business for him to take a bite without sharing even a crumb of it. Unfortunately for him, this only gave a stronger drive for the hungry little boy. While he was now looking up at the bitten food, there was a drool dripping down his lips as small hands clutches the fabric over his stomach. He must have it. He needed it. “Either gimme or I’ll bite that hands off…please,” and he means every word of it.
{ ✄ }— The threat does nothing to move him, or convince him that he should not devour the rest and walk away, leaving the young Sin empty handed, left to find another solution to calm that tempest of a stomach. Alas, right as he finds the conviction to turn on his heels, he hears the single word; the one he'd wanted to hear, despite the venomous utterance accompanying it. He cared not about that, anyway, as he'd gotten the results he'd wanted. "That's all you had to say."
And yet, he'd made it into a difficult process for all involved. Whatever -- he'd earned the treat, it leaving his grasp, tossed at the other male like a prize for a dog who'd just performed a trick. Whether or not he'd be able to catch it with the haste it demanded was not his concern, but he'd been successful in his venture. Perhaps the little one wasn't so horrible.
Well, he'd make a good pet, if only Sloth could tweak those mannerisms. With time ... with time.
"—Here again?"
{ ✄ }— He's walking in the opposite direction already, not quite in the mood to have laptops tossed in his direction today, let alone to expel the energy it required to dodge such things.
" -------- no."
{ ✄ }— He doesn't want to be conscious, so why ... ?
{ ☂ }— It seems he has forgotten his umbrella, and it's much too late to turn back and retrieve one now. Oh, well. He'll simply have to make due with getting soaked.
Once his feet touch the ground, he latches himself, or at least his small hands, around the older boy’s arm. Despite all his attempt and flailing, he was too weak to pull the arm down so he could take a bite of that treat. It may be small but it was enough to make his stomach roar. "Gimme, gimme." He begs, shaking his weight around in hopes the sloth’s arm would grow tired. If he wish tame, he should put more work into it.
{ ✄ }— With that, canines bite down on precisely one fourth of the treat, a piece that the other male will now never taste. He swallows it promptly, lithe hand moving to pry smaller fingers off of his person, as the weight was demanding more energy than he cared to give.
" -- -I said," he begins, bringing the food ever closer to his lips for the second time. By now, Gluttony should know just what kind of game they were playing, no? "Say please."
"Plan to rid Sloth was a success."
{ ✄ }— There's enough crazy in his family without getting her involved. Time for some melatonin and a couple weeks of hibernation.
Aha! So his assumptions were confirm when the other pulls out the small treat. His beady red twinkle upon the sight and saliva was already forming inside his mouth, a long tongue slithering across his lips.
“Don’t be rude!” He spats, completely ignoring the older boy’s words and tried to take it. But he didn’t reach for it with his hands. No, he jumped up and tries to snatch it with his sharp little teeth.
{ ✄ }— His task would not be an easy one, it seemed. Primal, were Gluttony's actions, that almost serpentine tongue something to take note of, not to mention the way he appeared almost ready to pounce in defiance of his earlier utterance. A step back is what he takes, silently unwrapping the baked treat in response to the action taken.
Upon thin lips does he place it, not biting down on it just yet. Oh, he would tame him, or at the very least, he would try.
"Say 'please', or you will get nothing."
"Ohoho, are you trying to be clever? Cute." If she were a sap, she’d be that person to fall heads over heels over him, right? Nah, that wasn’t the case. People can provide amusement but something like that will be quite foreign to her in so many ways. She was one to enjoy simple pleasures but this man was far from letting her. All the she phoenix wanted was to mow the lawn. "Well, if you insist." POW! A laptop to his face, the sound of impact filling the air and anyone around them were just staring at them in puzzlement. But that mattered not, might as well encourage her own point, yes? BAM! Another laptop to his gut, corner this time and a lot more force. Jeezus, what was she even doing right now?
{ ✄ }— "You certainly enjoy saying that word, don't you?"
He might be hopped up on caffeine, but that does not mean his habit of being lazy is going to change. Eyes roll in a subtle manner, despite what is being tossed his way. A shrug, and the devices are promptly broken with a single flick of a wrist, as if unaffected. Well, he wasn't human, was he? So it would make perfect sense that he wouldn't be hurt like one, regarding the other with indifference. One motion, and he is now on the grass once more, stretching casually.
"Lucky me, to have stumbled upon a host such as yourself."
A step, and he finds himself quite far from the Phoenix, tone one dripping with sarcasm.
"Try not to tire out all that hospitality, will you?"
Off he goes -- he wasn't in the mood to hit a woman, if she could be called that, today.
BUBBLES! SHE IS THE JOY AND THE LAUGHTER. BUTTERCUP, SHE IS THE TOUGHEST FIGHTER; POWERPUFF GIRLS SAVE THE DAY!
{ ✄ }— "Get out, punk."
"Eeh?" He releases his hold around the pipe and lands on the ground. "You’re lying. Lying." He said, moving closer to his brethren and taking a sniff off his clothes.
{ ✄ }— A yawn, offering a knowing glance at the one now inspecting him. Yes, he did have some sort of treat on his person, but that did in no way mean he'd give it up to his kin. A bargaining chip, perhaps, is what it could be utilized for, and so he removes it from a blazer pocket, holding it up in the air.
"Manners, brother."
It wasn’t like she intended to punish anyone but it was the same as making her point get across. Though she may be of Chinese culture and where her kind originated, their punishments were far from worse than a simple iced coffee. She’s actually being somewhat kind in this situation but she can’t help but be a tad amused by this simple fact. The fact that even the Sloth can be influenced by man made caffeine products, stifling a chuckle when she literally can feel the energy surging inside of him. "If I wanted to punish you, I’d make it to where you would be awake for nearly a month. Though if you wanted sugar, do get it yourself. I am no way your housewife." The she phoenix says while she drops the cup on his chest before returning to the machine she had previously occupied. "Now get up, you have the energy to."
{ ✄ }— A point? Ah, yes; the one that clearly said she had more where that came from? In no way was she hurting him by lifting his constant state of sleepiness from his being, but instead taking away what made Sloth ... Sloth. He could always vacate the premises, of course, and probably would once he was bored enough to do so, likely in search of bottles of melatonin to counteract her deeds; as it stood, he wouldn't be killed, so it mattered not, as he could reverse the effects if he so wished. So for now, he would allow himself to indulge in his definition of amusement, planted firmly in front of her, atop the hood of the machine she was sitting in, no longer in the way of her work.
" -- - I'll pass." And there goes the cup, caught promptly by too swift hands only to be tossed aside. There was no way in hell he'd willingly allow any of that liquid to enter past lips.
"Go on, just try not to hit any bumps."
"Food."
{ ✄ }— Gluttony, who else would it be? Up go slender digits, idly resting atop a mass of his own hair in thought.
"Get it yourself." A pause, blinking at the younger one. "I'm not your keeper."
Peeks in.
{ ✄ }— Weary staring.
"The filth likes to think he’s smart does, he? How cute." She’s not at all bothered by this, but she does lift her left arm, fingertips glowing. She wonders how he would love to operate on some caffeine, given that even a single drop would cause his energy to fluctuate. "But do stay, for the coffee. I heard it’s wonderful." Phoenix’s were such vile creatures and she accepts this, being one of them. Considered Black Sheep, she cares not. So now she’s over the Sloth with a glass of iced coffee, forcibly opening his mouth and dumping in the liquid. Don’t worry, it’s not poisonous as far as she knows. Mixing many things together might harm a human but he was far from such.
{ ✄ }— 'Clever'? Perhaps. Uncaring? Certainly. Even when the woman does approach him and take into her slender digits his face, he doesn't bother to move, bored hues opting to watch her instead with slight interest. Rare is it that the Sin allow for a smile to grace his features, but that is precisely what occurs, however faint it might be. Something not of this world, was she, and so he would quite frankly pay attention, at least until she was no longer in his company; no longer his hindrance to deal with.
A rush like no other -- something he'd experienced before, but multiplied tenfold; exaggerated due to whatever it was she had done to that concoction she bestowed with the title 'coffee'. It wasn't as though he hadn't tried it before (for Seth's sake, but he would not dwell on the past), but truly, he found that the crash outweighed any benefits it might provide, in turn leaving it for the humans to consume.
"You're horrible with punishments, if that was your goal." Energetic is his voice, foreign to his ears, but not entirely horrible. He'd have to stick it out, and if it were anything like coffee, he would experience that downward spiral later. He is soon on his feet, effortlessly taking residence on the front hood of the mower.
"Next time add sugar."
