miss minnie but bucktommy remix
Evan’s breath hitched and Tommy studiously ignored the way his eyes watered as she settled in peacefully, as if she could already tell that she was in the safest place in the world that she could. Tommy wasn’t doing much better himself but if he teared up then he knew he’d be in real trouble. So instead he let his heart thunder away in his chest like he wasn’t already in trouble and watched as Evan ran a gentle finger down Minnie’s nose. She sniffled and scrunched her nose in the same adorable way her dad did.

Feet Up Friday
Friday Night Homebody Check-In
And Friday Five
We had a feels-like temp today of -39 (F AND C!). I stayed in the house and put up shelves to store yarn bins on.
I made it through the day alive, though for a good while, I thought I didn't want to
My best friend made it so I have to stick around, because her gift couldn't be delivered today - the store was closed due to weather
I heard from 4 of the 7 kids today (didn't expect to hear from at least 2 of them), and a lot of online friends
Mason baked me a gluten-free cake, and Wolf got home (so thankful he did) and treated us to a LOT of local Italian take-out.
Hanns Lohrer: “Frau Holle” (“Mother Holle”, “Mother Hulda” or “Old Mother Frost”)
Frau Holle (also known as Holla, Perchta, Berchta, Berta, or Bertha) is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm in Children's and Household Tales in 1812. She was initially a pre-Christian legendary figure. The name may be cognate of the Scandinavian creature known as the Hulder (or Hulda). In Norwegian folklore, she is known as Huldra (though folklore presupposes that there is an entire Hulder race). She is known as the Skogsrå "forest spirit" or Tallemaja "pine tree Mary" in Swedish folklore, and Ulda in Sámi folklore. She may be the same being as the völva divine figure Huld and the German Holda.
